Advanced Night Repair Eye Gel-Cream : Burned my eyes

My son bought me a jar of this for Mother's Day and I was so excited to try it. Estee Lauder has always been a quality brand and I buy something when I want to splurge on myself. The first time I tried it my eyes puffed up, got red, started to peel, stung/ burned. I thought it had to be something else I had used, like my makeup remover, so I tossed that. After my eyes healed, I tried this again. Again, red, pealing eyes but I thought it must've been a reaction with my face wash. I tried it again the other day, and eliminated all other creams, washes, etc. This was the only thing I put on my face, and it did it again. I have never had a reaction of any kind to anything else and this was a severe reaction. Unfortunately I am going to have to toss it as I don't trust giving it to any of my friends or family. And it's especially disappointing since my son spent this much money for me to throw it away.
