Aquage Silkening Oil Treatment 3-stars Reviews
Great for Thick, Straight, Coarse Hair
After reading so many positive reviews, I decided to splurge on this product. I am glad I did because I would always wonder if that extra ten dollars it costs would be worth it in the end, so I purchased it and used it after getting my short hair highlighted.
The first thing I noticed is that it does take more product than is the suggested "few drops." After some trial and error, I came up with a workable amount for my hair, and that is one full pump, but bear in mind that my hair is extremely thick. A lesser amount may work for your hair type.
I had been intrigued by the promise that it shaves 40 percent off drying time, and boy, does it ever! That's a big plus, and I imagine a huge selling point for the manufacturer. Less blow-drying means healthier hair.
However, the next day (I wash my hair daily) I woke up to a sticky feeling, which is fine because as stated, I wash my hair every day. Not sure if this would be a good product for those who wash their hair less frequently.
In summary, let it be said that this is a high-quality oil in beautiful packaging and it does live up to the hype - for the most part. Everyone's hair is different, and you may just have to use a few drops to make dreams come true, but I did end up using more. The end result was soft hair with much more shine and manageability than any other oil has given me. And yes, I believe it is worth the price.
