It was my first time buying something like this for my lips. I was excited about this, but it actually looked like it dried my lips out. They looked more wrinkley, which is the absolute opposite of what I was going for. It felt nice applying it, but not worth it at all. I did try to use it several days in a row, but regular chapstick is cheaper and more effective. Very disappointed, especially for the price.

must-have

As we age, our lips are aging too! There are not many products that target lip aging. I was in search of an effective lip product to protect my lips from the aging process. I really like the idea behind it. Retinol is a scientifically proven antiaging product. It is amazing to be able to use it on my lips.

Good but....

I've been using this for four months now. I wish I would have known I had to put a sun block over it. I do not remember reading anything about retinol in it. All I want is my lips to be red again and help with these small lines I'm getting. Im not sure if it's helped with that or not. Maybe it stopped them in their tracks but they are no better then they were. I use this 2-5 times a day. I stíll have some left so I'll continue to use it with this SPF balm I got. And if I don't see any results, I guess it was just not for me.

Not A Balm To Me

I was looking for something to keep my highly sensitive lips moisturized. Stumbled upon this while searching other items. Like the fact it's by Bare Minerals. I was hoping for something with a thicker consistency. This reminds me of putting a light coating of oil on my lips. Have to reapply about every hour. Sooner if I wipe my mouth while eating. The search continues for a replacement to Nivea Lip Butters.

This lip balm is

This lip balm is okay. It's a thinner consistency, not thick or sticky. It just doesn't seem as moisturizing as I had hoped. It also doesn't stay on long, and needs to be reapplied frequently. It's better for warmer weather, I don't find it moisturizing enough for cold weather or chapped lips. I think it's overpriced for what it is.

I got this as a set with the balm (jar). Between the two I enjoy the jar more. This stick seems to be lighter in texture like a gloss in a stick. I prefer something a little thicker but besides that-it's a really nice product! Not sticky or thick at all like chapstick can be. Would be nice worn under lipsticks too.

It's fine, not a miracle for me

I have officially used this up entirely and would not repurchase. I didn't feel it did a better job than anything else I've had, and it's not nearly as good as regular old Aquaphor for lips as an overnight product. It does feel nice, and I'd sometimes layer it with Aquaphor too to kind of "seal it in" (first the BM balm, then Aquaphor on top), but to this day I can't find any product that works as well for lips as the big old tub of Aquaphor. I think I'd repurchase this if it were cheaper but for the price, it just isn't worth it to me.

Simple But Effective

I had the opportunity to try bareMinerals Ageless Phyto Retinol Lip Balm. The balm itself leaves a smoothly thin textured layer on the lips. There is no need for multiple applications nor thick layers. Also, the balm hydrates the lips vey well while getting rib of the cracking appearance for a more softly result. Lastly, it contains hyaluronic acid which is a plus for moisture.

After using regularly for a week, my lips went from being chapped and dry (from summer sun) to feeling refreshed and actually a little more plump. When comparing to other brands, it's smooth, feels natural and has a pleasant flavor to it. I've actually switched brands to make this my "new normal".

If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend giving this product a try. You will not be disappointed!

Softer Lips after 2 weeks

As someone who rarely pays attention to her lips (unless it's regular chapstick in the dead of winter), I was excited to try this lip balm from Bare Minerals. It's advised to use retinol products at night and avoid UV exposure, so I have been applying it before bed every other night. It's a weird feeling to lay in bed with waxy feeling lips. The texture is in line with those ball-shaped balms that you have to press hard to apply. The first week went by with no changes, so I started to apply daily. The next week my husband commented, "hey hey smooth lips." My lips are noticeably softer. — it's like I just did a scrub and moisturized—but better.
