THEE best...but...
LOVE this foundation--HOLY GRAIL, however it requires some "how-to" to get the hang of how to apply it. After much trial and error here's what works best for me:
1) I use my moisturizer and then a face oil (I have combo, acne prone skin, very oily T-zone)
2) apply 2 pumps to the back of my hand and then dab it onto my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead working it in with my fingers just a little
3) blend quickly with a damp beauty blender avoiding my undereye area.
It dries VERY quickly so if you miss the window you will get very uneven coverage and if you try to blend it more, the product will start to lift and it will be a patchy disaster!
It takes some work but I promise once you get it down it will be the only foundation you ever need! It lasts all day, provides great coverage, looks natural even outdoors and feels weightless.
Feels great, looks terrible
I purchased the shade 05 Sateen and for a shade that is supposed to be a cool toned, this is insanely yellow and the most warm toned foundation I've ever purchased. I have a very neutral skin tone and even the neutral shades in the Barepro Liquid Foundation run super duper yellow. Why do none of the other comments address this? I love how this feels on the skin and it doesn't make me breakout but it does make me look like I have Jaundice. Not a cute look. Seriously Bareminerals fix this shade it's yellow!!
The only foundation that matches my skin!
I have dry, light, neutral/olive skin with yellow undertones and I'm obsessed with this foundation! I get the Cashmere 06 shade. It's the first time I've ever been able to completely color match my skin! Typically with neutral shades they are orange-y even if they say yellow undertones. This is shade is very true to the description!
I use an spf and moisturizer first, then layer on the foundation with a moist sponge and it looks so natural and dewy. I get compliments on my skin all the time now! I saw some reviews that said it dried them out, maybe if you're prone to that (like me) moisturize the heck out of your skin before applying and use a wet makeup sponge to apply. That seems to keep me dewy and not cakey.
staining from makeup
I bought the BareMinerals Barepro foundation and although it looks good on my face, it does not come off my clothes. I have 2 tops that have been ruined by the foundation getting on my clothes. I immediately take the top off and treat it and wash it but the stain never goes away even after several washings. Do you recommend something that will remove the stains. I can't keep getting damage to my clothes when the make up gets on it. One time was when I took the top off and the clothing touched my face after being on my face all day. The second time, the make up did not come out onto my hand but squirted out the side and shot onto my top, right in the middle. Took top off and washed immediately after treating and it did not come out at all. Help I need to save my clothes. What solution gets out this makeup?
Impressive & Clean, Natural Finish
I have melasma above my upper lip and on each cheek from years of surfing. I switched from the Dermablend Cover Crème to this BarePro and really love this product. It feel and looks very natural and doesn't transfer or make my skin overly sweat. Dermablend seemed to clog my pores and definitely transferred easily when I hugged someone (oof!).
I read another review before purchasing this product and I would also encourage putting a sample on your skin and walking around the store with it to allow it to fully oxidize and see the true color. I thought I would be the Golden Nude but when I gave it time to oxidize it wasn't the best shade for me, Warm Natural is.
I wear this with the Prime Time Primer and my skin looks natural and healthy and allows it to breathe and stay cool.
I loved this product
My favorite foundations have sold out, or out of stock. So I've been on the hunt for something new. I do believe I've found it! This product is very thin and lightweight. It goes on smooth and blends very well. I found that a damp beauty blender worked better than a brush for me. It's a medium coverage. I have very oily fair skin, with pink undertones. I got the lightest shade. By it's self, it too light. I always top my foundations with a pressed powder. I also use their powder in neutral since it's the lightest. It works out perfectly for me.
Fantastic product!
I was a devoted user of Estee Lauder's Double Wear in Bone for years, until they changed their animal testing policy. After trying out several ill-matching long-wearing foundations, I feel fortunate to have found this one for my fair skin tone, with the benefit of it being mineral based. My only slight caveat about Bare Minerals' Performance Wear foundation is that it doesn't layer very well once the product dries. Thankfully, it is pretty indelible and does not require much touching up, even with a surgical mask on all day. It looks natural and does not feel heavy. I'm so glad Bare Minerals came up with this product!
So happy
I was looking for a new foundation, I used to swear by Estée Lauder and a few others I wanted to change and find something new, so I was looking for foundations that are sweat proof, and transfer proof at least and this one works beautifully, I used to have my old holy grail- mac prolong wear in the glass bottle , while this is not the same texture it gives the same longevity ❤️ I have natural clear skin , but I do love glam makeup , for daily wear , and this did not break me out , just make sure you moisturize
This foundation and the urban decay naked skin have been my go to foundation even mixed together ❤️
Lasts for ages, even under face masks
That's the best thing about this product. I've used it a few years and I've tried a lot of different foundations. This wins hands down as the best for lastability!! More so than the toughest brands of Clarins, Lancôme or Estée Lauder. After working through the pandemic and wearing face masks every day, I've tested many foundations (I would still wear my make up as the face masks don't cover my entire face and I have insecurities around my face being red and having a little rosacea) but Bare Pro is the only one that stayed put from start to finish. You will need a very good cleanser to remove it properly! Bare Pro tip - apply with a sponge and dab it on the areas where you need the most coverage rather than using fingers or a brush. A sponge will make it go much further with a touch of moisturiser underneath. I only gave 4 stars though because it's supposed to be non-acnegenic but I did notice more breakouts with this product (compared to Clinique Beyond Perfecting, which is my all time favourite). It can also be tricky to find the right shade - a lot of undertones are either too pink or too yellow for my fair Irish skin. I eventually settled on no.7 which seemed to be the best for my tone but just know that the shade does darken a little once it dries. It's still a great foundation I love it and I still wear it sometimes, just not everyday anymore since I noticed the extra few spots around my nose and my jawline but I think that's just my face being extra persnickety!!
Sad. Was there a change in formula?
Unfortunately, this is no longer working for me. I've been using this line for years. BM must've changed the formula because I've had the same or similar colors depending on the season and it matched me perfectly. Now, no matter which color I get, it's always darker or too light and I'm either looking like a ghost or like I fake baked with rose and/or orange. It comes off super easy now with or without the primer. I'll try the loose powder again. But I loved the BarePro line with how it went. It really must've been a change because it's never been like this for me, unfortunately. Because I'm a long time BM customer. Since y'all first came out.
