Great palette

I know there are bad reviews about the pigment but actually that is why i love this palette!

Highly pigmented eyeshadows are really hard to blend out. I prefer less pigment so its easier to blend. Very little fall out also. I bought this for my super sensitive eyes and i have 2 out of the 4 palettes. Love love love!

Looks great on hazel green eyes

I have light green and brown hazel eyes. I love the way this palette looks on my eyes, especially the mahogany and green. I have very sensitive eyes and cannot tolerate most eye makeup. I really appreciate that this product excludes many ingredients that cause irritation. This palette is subtle, you really cannot contour with these colors. This eyeshadow is more suited for a natural looking makeup. The colors are lighter when applied. Overall, I really like this palette.

Never again

I bought the ultranatural eyeshadow palette and am very disappointed. The pigments look great in the case but you can't see them when on your eyelid. I've tried applying with brush, finger, and swab over bare skin, concealer, foundation, a pore minimizer. Nothing applies the color to my eye. Very disappointed. I feel like I wasted my birthday gift card. Wish they gave refunds.

Disappointed

I was optimistic when I found this collection as the color pallette was close to what I have been looking for. However, I was disappointed with the application. I found it powdery and pale. I did not get the look I had hoped for. Hence, I am still searching for a replacement for my discontinued product.

It deserves less than 5 stars, 4.5 maybe, but...

I love the looks I can create with this. That fast trip to the doctor, where you just want to wear mascara and do an understated look, and don't have time for the "full face" this is so totally it.

Some reviwers commented about the colors Sandy and Antiqued, I only found the latter to be rather hard in the pan, and had to be built up to show the color. Maybe pigment gets better deeper into pan, and I concur with those who reviewed this issue.

You can still build up color, it just takes a little longer, and an ounce of patience, wink.

Mineralist Sunlit Palette is minimal in color payoff

I loved the Gen Nude palettes and can't find a replacement for my holy graille palette. I tried two different Mineralist pallettes and was disappointed. I returned both. I used eye primer and had no color payoff. I kept building shadow with no color payoff. The fallout of this shadow is a problem as well. The formula is NOT even close to the previous Gen Nude version. Bare Minerals was my go to eyeshadow brand. I'm looking for clean alternatives now.

Very disappointing

I've been using bareminerals eyeshadow for a number of years now and love it. This product doesn't come close. I bought it in a rush at the airport without trying it first. The colours on the palette are beautiful and exactly what I wanted however they barely show up on the skin. Most if the product floats off the brush before it even gets to my eyelid. You can't build up the colour either. I don't wear heavy makeup abd my skin is very pale so I'm surprised at how little it works.

Love! Neutral But Not Boring

I love that this color palette is neutral but not boring! I am so tired of neutral palettes that are all basically the same taupe shades in different depths. This one actually has a variety of color!

Some reviews have mentioned that the shadows are difficult to apply, powders too hard for a brush to pick up. I use a dense, fluffy concealer brush to apply, this works well for me.

Heathered

The formulation of these powders feels very luxurious, it's easy to blend them. The colors are pretty but unfortunately not very nice on me personally. Either that or I haven't figured out color theory well enough to make it work for me.

When I wear the powders it feels drying to my eyes, and the older I get (I'm 38) the more I realize I don't like when little bits of glitter get into my eye and it's not worth it. Even tho they look so pretty.

Everyone says there's not a lot of color pay off- what I realized is that you need to "break the seal" by disrupting the top coat of the powders. I did this by using by brushes a little bit more vigorously than I normally would- NOT A LOT more vigorously… just a little. This made the powder bunch up and exposed the softer powder underneath and it's been fine ever since.

I just wish I knew why it was irritating to my eyes so I could keep it but I think I'll need to return. Darn. It truly does feel so soft and velvety to apply.

Love this palette!

Love this palette! So far i have only tried 1Ecru 2Taupe 4Shell and 5Dawn. I have fair skin and blue/green eyes and taupe and dawn make them look very blue paired with the eyeliner in the shade topaz! I have a little trouble getting dawn and taupe to go on. I really feel like i have to pack on the color to get any color play off. Shell4 isnt matte like them and goes on way easier more color because its like a satin shimmer.

How To Use

For an effortless wash of color, use a fluffy brush to sweep shadow all over your lid and into the crease, blending upward to diffuse visible edges.

For a more intense wash of color, layer 2 or more shades with different finishes to build a seamless dimensional look.

For an easy smoky eye, apply a deeper matte shade to your lid, and blend a lighter shimmering shade over it, diffusing any obvious lines with a fluffy blending brush.

Wrap color around your lower lash line with a smaller tapered brush. Finish your look with eyeliner and mascara.

Tips: Prep your lids with eyeshadow primer to create a smooth base and to boost color impact.
Be your own artist. Mix, match and layer shades to create custom looks - there is no wrong combination.
Blending is key - use a fluffy blending brush to diffuse colors together until there are no obvious lines.
For more intense color, use a flat tapered brush to build color on the lid, and blend up and out with a fluffy blending brush.
