Quality isn't great…what happened?

I bought this Beachwaver Pro 1.25 in December 2023 to replace a Beachwaver Pro I had had for over 10 years (no lie) that had unfortunately finally shorted out on me on a trip to Germany. I was lucky enough to have Sarah Potempa actually curl my hair with the tool way back then at a work conference and I fell in love with how easy it was to use! So anyway fast-forward to now…I received the curling iron and immediately noticed the quality was NOT the same as my previous Pro model but hey things change over the years. The buttons feel cheap, kinda jiggle around in the unit if you move it around/shake it. I've had my new Pro 1.25 for 4 months and the + and - temperature symbols have already worn completely off, and the L and R symbols have faded. I use the curling iron occasionally so for the price tag, this is pretty disappointing. My previous Pro still looked brand new, so like I said the quality has definitely gone down. With that being said, the actual curling iron works great and I love how easy it is to use. I just wish it was better quality for how expensive it is.

My curl don't last

I was so excited to get this curling iron. I have super long straight hair. So I love everything about the curling iron. The biggest issue is that about 10 mins after curling my curls literally fall straight. I've tried doing it in a different temperatures. I've tried doing it when my hair isn't washed for a day or two. I've tried different hair products and also no products but no matter what they just don't hold. I have cheaper curling irons and they curl my hair for longer. I'm just not understanding why it's not keeping a wave or curl at all. Just sad and disappointing.

Know before you buy

This device gets very hot and having long hair I thought it would be amazing. Alas, it was not amazing. My finger kept hitting the directional change button and it kept crimping my hair. It is also real wobbly and seems so cheaply made. I returned it after 2 attempts.

Will be purchasing from the T3 family of hair products as I have in the past.

Weird smell

No matter what temp I use my hair ALWAYS smells after i curl it even after it's been washed. The rotating is also really aggressive but if you use it as a wand it works well

It works..... if you want ringlet curls

I was apprehensive spending the amount of money to purchase one of these. But I did and at first was surprised. However to get the wavy curl desired for TODAY'S look this won't do it. The curls are more ringlet. No matter how you hold or angle it iron. I know bc I tried to make this work. I have long hair and so I purchased this model the 1.25 but still ringlet curls. Unfort for me a wand works better in giving me those curls I want and takes the same or less time than this. I ended up returning it

Beachwaver Pro 1.25

I have thick medium length hair and love the big soft curls this creates. It does take a few tries to get used to using it and then it's a breeze. Even though I curl small pieces 1-2 inche section & use a finishing spray, 3-4 hours later the curl has mostly fallen out.

Great if you have long hair

I like the concept of it spinning for you with simply just the push of a button, but as someone with shorter hair I don't really need it. Maybe if I had long hair I would have found more of a use for it. Also it's very long and a little hard to manage when holding it. Just ok. Not really necessary.
