Beautycounter Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion

It's fine!

Its not amazing or awful. It's quite lightweight which is fine in the summer when my skin is more oily but in the winter I have to put two layers on to feel adequately moisturized. I do like the weight and density of it though, it spreads easily, absorbs well, and doesn't make your face feel weird. It has a kind of unpleasant vinegary/chemical sort of smell although it fades after a while.

If you have oily skin but still want a moisturizer I think it would be good if you don't mind the smell! Might not be great for drier skin.

Defective Pump

After pumping many times and not getting any moisturizer, I opened the lid and can see that there is no tube attached to the pump, so no way to get the moisturizer up to the dispenser. When I contacted customer service, it took 2 days for them to respond and the response was: "try to put the pump back in place by turning it upside down, locate the two holes on the bottom of the product, and push an unfolded paper clip into each hold [sic] with some force". I am not even sure what this means, but I do not expect to go digging around in the moisturizer with a paper clip to attempt to find the tube. This was not a cheap moisturizer. I understand that the tube can come loose during shipping, but at a minimum, I would expect them to send me a new pump with a new tube. I have asked a supervisor to provide an alternate solution. If they do not provide an acceptable solution, I will have to return.

Incredible

I've never written a review here before, but I have to for this moisturizer because I love it so much. Only a few days of use and it seems like my face is transforming. My skin is brighter and feels so soft, my pores have shrunk, my acne is going away (though mine is mild). The little pump on the bottle is great. The only thing I would say is I didn't like how it initially felt on my skin, but learned it just takes a few minutes to fully absorb. Sits under my makeup well.

I've tried a million moisturizers and this is the one for me. I didn't even want to like it because of the price but decided to try it because of the reviews. My skin is combo and on the drier side. No product works for everybody, but this one is perfect for me.

Never Buying Anything Else!

I have been a diehard fan of another company for the moisturizer I use but I know that it's full of chemicals. It's probably so full of chemicals that I don't even want to know how many because I've used the brand for a decade, and it's an expensive brand! In walks Beautycounter's Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion and I'm hoping for a good product that I will use daily knowing that Beautycounter has a lengthy list of chemicals not used in their products. In other words, I can put stuff on my face and not worry that it's carcinogenic. I'm so excited that Beautycounter is my NEW, go-to brand for face moisturizer (among other things--like the eye cream is to die for).

ALL DAY MOISTURE!

I continue to be amazed at Countermatch. Over the summer, we travelled abroad and spent almost 24 hours in transit. Upon arrival, I did not have the normal dry/dehydrated skin. I first noticed how effective it was when I was traveling from home (very cold climate) to my parent's (very mild). I spend time in airports, planes, etc. and never feel my skin! It's amazing. I've never used anything like it! I think my favorite aspect is that it spreads on easily, it is rich, but my skin never looks oily!

Performs as promised!!

This is my favorite moisturizer. It truly makes my skin say, “aaaaah” when I put it on. I love that it soaks in easily whether I smooth it over my face or press it in. It lasts all day and I only have to use a small amount. I also appreciate that I can see how much is left through the side of the bottle and know when to order more. The only reason I don't have it on subscription is because I bought extra on sale and plan my new purchases to take advantage of specials and use my Band of Beauty credits.

active and adaptive

Almonds..... Yes I love the smell of amaretto! I work out for a living. I get a shower in the morning and apply the toner and counter match moisture lotion. Head out into 100% humidity to get to my car where I roll the windows down for the puppies. Going into work for 6 hours where I have a dehumidifier working overtime inside the studio as well as ceiling fans and air-conditioning. Take the puppies on a walk in the humidity and blazing sun, then back inside. As you can see I need a moisturizer that can adapt to my constant climate change. Love this product!

Like it!

I've really been enjoying how my skin feels after using the Countermatch Adaptive moisture lotion. I have combination skin and live in Texas, so it's definitely hot here during the summer, and this lotion has done well on my skin. I like that it absorbs nicely and doesn't leave me feeling oily or heavy on my skin, and I'm still able to apply my sunblock during the day without it feeling heavy. I also apply it in the evening as my last step. This is replacing my high end moisturizer and I cannot wait to try more products.
