Beautycounter Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil

I don't want to use anything else.

I was given a small sample version of this cleanser 2 Christmases ago. I didn't think much of it and it took me months to even use it. Once I finally did, I was extremely pleased with how it made my skin feel. The scent is extremely light and fresh. This product is cruelty free. It gets every kind of makeup off gently and leaves the skin feeling super soft. You also do not need much at all. I am a 33 yr old with combination skin. Very dry in the winter but can get overactive and oily in the hotter months. I can say for the winter, I do not want to use anything else, I have not used it throughout the summer to know if it will work okay.

Only con is this junk is EXPENSIVE. The only way I can justify it is it lasts for about 6 months 😂

Smells Amazing

The first thing that struck me was how amazing this cleansing oil smells. I have fairly oily skin and was worried that the oil in the cleansing oil would make my skin more oily, but not at all! And it certainly didn't break me out. It doesn't foam so that took some time to get used to, but it cleans really well without drying out my skin (like my previous face cleaners did). Recommend! As recommended by Beautycounter, I follow this cleansing oil with the Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence, eye moisturizer and face moisturizer.

Luxury

The way this product melts into my skin is luxurious. It's stress relieving and for a moment it feels like an indulgent spa day, my hunched shoulders automatically relax down into place. It also rinses off with nothing left behind, and my skin feels natural, the way I imagine it should always feel. Just a bit dewy and plump, but not over dry or oily. Do massage your lashes for a bit if you're taking off mascara, it will get it all. And save that for last. This is pricy for my budget but now I'm hooked and have worked it in.

Best cleanser I have ever used.

I have used a range of cleansers from cheap to expensive but I have always loved the idea of cleansing oils. I had been searching for one that worked as well as my favorite cleansing oil which had been discontinued. They all fell short for one reason or another until I discovered this one. It doesn't irritate my eyes which is huge as some of them really do and when I rinse it off my skin feels moisturized and clean. It doesn't leave a residue and its not heavy. And a little goes a long way. I absolutely love this cleanser and I have purchased it for several people who share my love of this product!

Countertime Is the Best

I have been using these products for almost a year in May of 23. There have been no issues with my skin and I swear I look at least 3-5 years younger. My regular gal who does my facials commented on how great my skin is for my age. I love my rep Heather, she answers my questions via text even on a weekend. lol. This seems to be a wonderful company with wonderful products. I have been very conscientious about what I use on my body and what goes into my body. I always used the EWG database to check cleaning and body products. I am so happy Beautycounters products get a glowing review from EWG.

Cleansing with oil is key

I have always had dry skin but I felt like my face wasn't clean if I didn't have that dry tight feeling after washing my face. Then after I took the quiz and the cleansing oil was recommended I poo pooed it and didn't get it. One day it clicked. If I'm using moisturizer to get rid of that tight dry feeling then why am I even giving my face that feeling? I tried the oil cleanser and I'm never looking back. My skin feels so much better. Never has that gross tight feeling like it's going to crack if i don't put moisturizer on and it's actually glowing now.

Love my Countertime lipid defense cleansing solution!

This stuff is awesome! First of all it feels so good going onto my skin as I apply it. I also like to gently massage it into my face to get the blood flowing. It feels so good and it is great at getting off all the make up and dirt from the day. It is one of two of my favorite cleansersI alternate between using the CT Lipid defense and the cleansing balm by BC. They're both fabulous! I look forward to washing my face! On a sidenote, I recently began going to get facials by an aesthetician in my town. At my initial consult she asked me what products I was using and I told her I was using the countertime collection by beauty counter. She laughed and said well for a 59 year old woman your skin is amazing and normally I would try to sell you products that I have here but whatever you're using is doing a great job so I would suggest that you stick with it! I highly recommend Beautycounter!

The bright start of my new cleansing routine!

I love, love, love the cleansing oil. I never could have imagined using an oil base cleanser to clean my face. It feels fantastic. I actually spend several minutes just massaging it into my face. Not because I have to to get it clean, it just feels so good. After rinsing, my face feels so clean and soft. I follow that up with my morning or night routine. After 3-4 weeks I have noticed a remarkable change in my skin. It's softer and no longer dull. I wish I would have started this routine years ago. It take minutes to do. And after just a few weeks I'm happy to see the results.

Just not for my skin

I have been using the Countercontrol cleaner for a while and loved it. So I was really excited to try the Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil. I have really sensitive skin, so I thought it would be perfect now that my skin is aging. Tge cleanser smells amazing and my skin feels really soft, but after a couple of days using the cleanser I started to breakout with blemishes. I continued using the product to see if the breakout was just a result of switching products, but I am still having issues with acne. I know others that have had amazing results, but tgis cleanser just isn't for me. I will be switching back to the Countercontrol.

Gentle and effective

I really like Countertime Lipid defense oil. This is my second bottle. First one I bought almost 8 months ago. So a little goes a long way! I first bought the regimen. I have really have seen a difference in my skin. I was very skeptical about using an oil as a cleanser. My skin is no oily but I just didn't think it would work. It doesn't make my skin oily. It is great for me because I have sensitive skin. I can even use it over my eye lids and have no reaction. It has not caused any breakouts for me. Not even blackheads. It is a gentle but effective cleanser. Great for aging skin!
