Beautycounter Lid Glow Cream Shadow

wonderfully non-irritating!

I have sensitive eyes and this lid cream does not irritate my eyes! for me, that is HUGE. I have the Aura color, I wish the color was not as sheer as it is but I think it's very pretty. I applied with a brush and it wasn't too good, use your finger, it's more forgiving! I want more colors! this is the only eyeshadow that doesn't irritate my eyes so I LOVE IT. IF YOUR EYES ARE SENSITIVE, GO FOR IT! you don't have to use too much and if it creases, just pat it down with a clean finger, it's not a big deal. I wore it all day yesterday and it didn't crease.

Bummer, kinda

Ill start by saying that if you want to put on two dots in your crease and blend them quickly into exactly where you want them, this would be great for you. However, its diffocult to work with beyond that. Say you get some too far to one side and want to smear it toward the center, you wont take off the thin side bit because its alteady dried, but you WILL take out the center because its thicker and hasnt dried. Maybe i need to try it in larger dabs instead of layering? It seemed like a mess when i tried the first time but i could see that being more effective.

I am very pale and cool, so the couple dabs showed up on my skin very well. If you are darker and want something less subtle, then you might want to opt for a different product.

Everyday I Love You!

I absolutely LOVE Lid Glow Cream Shadows. Aura, Sepia, Ember, Shimmering Copper, Twinkle, Satin Deep Plum are all in my collection and give me the ability to create so many different looks. My everyday is a base of Aura that I apply lid to brow with an extra dot to brighten at inner eye. I will often apply sepia on lid for a natural everyday look and add others when I'm craving for more fun or drama. Incredibly hydrating, Last all day and easy to remove at days in. Did I mention how much I LOVE!!

Love this eye shadow

I love the three or four lid glow cream shadows I have. All of them are the lightest ones offered. Super easy to put on and they do not end up all caked in the creases of my eyelids as the day goes on. (I blink a lot, so that's an issue for me.) I am a light to fair skin tone. I tried the copper color and there is a wig-no-fi-cant increase in pigmentation between it and the light ones. So much so that I am returning it - it stood out too much for what I wanted. (Just sharing in case someone is trying to figure out colors - always hard to do online.)

not great for older people

I like it however I just would prefer more of a matte finish as I am in my 50's and a shimmer just doesn't look great on older skin. It brings out the fine lines. I also like a bit of a darker color. It washes me out a bit because it is lighter once applied. Also hard for me to apply evenly. As I tap it on, it rubs off in places. You need really nice eye lids for this to probably work better. For me with heavier eyelids as I age it just doesn't apply very well. A few years ago I bought a large pallet of shadows and I love it. Wish we could get that pallet back!

Shade options need to be expanded

I have oily, hooded eye lids and I was hoping that this product would help me eliminate the need for an eye lid primer. First, I tried it without a primer, and it was creasing and wore off quickly. I then tried it with a primer, and it does improve the pigment saturation and allows for all day wear. I like how smoothly it applies and the cooling sensation. At this point I think I've ordered just about every shade, and unfortunately there are so many shades that are very similar. You really cannot tell a difference in the bottle or when they're applied. My favorite shades for my brown eyes are prism and haze. I am a BC "light" skin tone and find that the lighter colors do have a subtle brightening effect, but it doesn't really look like I have shadow on when I use them. I am hoping that BC offers more colors in the future.

Amazing colors and gives a dramatic look and feel

I really like the new cream shadows from beauty counter, but I'd say I'm still not 100% sold on them since for me the application doesn't hold up as long as BC powder eyeshadows do. I have somewhat oily skin and somewhat deep set eyes, so maybe it just doesn't work great for me while others find it hold up for hours without creasing. It doesn't look terrible by the end of the night/day just not as good as a typical powder would for me. I still like to use these as the colors are beautiful and it holds up for a bit of time, I just wish it would have a bit more of a mattifying effect on it's own, like a powder does. Still would recommend everyone give these creams a try!

Former Skeptic Now a Believer

I was afraid to try the Lid Glow Cream Shadow — in fact, I was so bummed that I wouldn't be able to buy the special edition holiday eyeshadow powders that were my favorite. At some point I finally decided to try the Cream. It's a dream — I love it. I was worried about the shimmer being too much, I was worried about it creasing. The shimmer is just the right amount and there are no creasing issues at all!! I love this stuff! I have since purchased in two additional colors. Definitely a believer.

Absolute Favorite Shadows!

Super easy to apply and customize the coverage you want, and they don't crease on my lid (with or without primer). Love the colors and the ability to wear them sheer or build for a darker look. What I love most is their versatility. I've cut down on the eyeshadows I use because I found I only need a few of these to create whatever look I want. Simplicity! I've also noticed that the dry spots I used to get haven't reappeared since I began using these. Colors: Aura and Haze (gorgeous for green eyes) Tip: they dry quickly so be fast when blending. But once a layer is dry it's really easy to apply the next.

Easy to apply, pretty color

I don't wear makeup at all, unless it's a special occasion. My skin is just so sensitive and it's never been worth the effort for me. Until now! I bought the lid glow cream shadow to wear at a wedding, and it was so easy to apply. Since I don't regularly wear makeup, I don't have a brush set or anything - and that was fine since all I needed was the included wand and my finger. I realized that I have to really build the color for it to work well on my skin tone (otherwise I just look flushed around my eyes), but that's also easy enough to do. If it were ever available, I would buy it in a gold color in a heartbeat to really jazz up formal looks :)
