Too Costly for Quality
I purchased the Raisin color because the swatch looked like it had a metallic sheen to the berry brown color. In person, it was an unattractive brown that slowly lightened to a warm coral. I know this is probably my personal skin chemistry, but the inconsistent color was disappointing. Even more of a let down was the hydration. The initial application felt great, but it got dry and cracky/crumbly after about 40 minutes. It didnt even feel like I had applied anything and my lips felt dried out. For the price point, I would have expected the product to last longer and have better coloring. The only upside is Raisin smells like delicious hot cocoa for about 20 minutes after application.
The PERFECT lipstick if you aren't a lipstick person!
I never ever wear lipstick for the sole fact that it usually applies very dramatically no matter how natural the shade is. However, I gave this a try since it said sheer. I am so glad I bought it because it's the perfect product for lips. The color is gorgeous, Twig is my favorite! It's very natural of a color and it almost applies like a colored chapstick. The feeling of chapstick with the pigment of lipstick but without being too dramatic! It's the perfect balance between the two. If chapstick and lipstick had a baby, it's this. And it's perfect. I can finally wear color on my lips to make my face look more alive and radiant without looking too much. It's the perfect daily lip product! I'm hoping they come out with more colors going forward like red shades! Because I would actually wear a red if it was the sheer genius lipstick. I've tried colored chapsticks in the past but they are TOO sheer. Sheer Genius is literally perfect. Thank you Beautycounter for making a lipstick that I actually love and that I can use daily! It brings life to my whole face and skin tone. A big improvement in my makeup routine lol.
I adore this lipstick
I am very sensitive to lip products and I also have aging lips. I tried this for the color as I normally wear a chapstick and I wanted to add real color to my makeup kit. I'm very happy with the color: Twig. It's very natural and I use it as a cheek color as well. The smell is very nice. A vanilla scent. The conditioning factor is probably my favorite part of this lipstick. I feel like it nourishes my lips. Even after dinner out I reapply to soothe my lips just like a chapstick would. No issues for sensitivity or allergies for me personally. Love this product. I will be buying this again in multiple colors.

Never have I enjoyed wearing ANY type of “make up!” I don't use anything except chap stick in the winter.this is a game changer! I love how smooth and silky it feels. I love the soft scent it fills the airway to my nose with. I won't go anywhere without it.even our little league where I spend most of my time with the kids. Since receiving this a few weeks ago I have found my lips feeling less dried out and sad. They feel alive.almost like a new baby's skin! I literally just ordered 3 more colors and can NOT wait to try them!

I am always on the hunt for sheer colored lip gloss or lipstick that glides on easily and provides a bit of shine without being gooey or being so glaringly shiny that I look at though it's 1977 and I'm headed to Studio 54. This lipstick is perfect, and I plan to order a few more colors. Another unique feature is that the cap or lid of the tube is magnetic and snaps right back into place after each use. No worries about the lid falling off and ending up with the inside of your purse looking as though a crazed kindergartner turned it into the art project du jour!
The Lipstick I've Been Looking For
I'm delighted with my Sheer Conditioning Lipstick! I have been looking for the perfect darker shade for months, and the Rosewood color is IT. I also appreciate that because it is a conditioning lipstick, using it does not leave my lips dry and chapped as other lipsticks have. The color has a glossy texture when first applied, but looks more natural as it dries. It also stays on l longer than other lipsticks so long as I refrain from sipping that morning coffee too quickly after applying it. Though I was initially hesitant to spend so much on a single lipstick, this one is well worth it, and I know I'll be enjoying it for a long time.
