Beautycounter Skin Twin Featherweight Foundation

sub par performance

This is a difficult foundation to work with, the coverage never looks even to me and it's not buildable. up close, I can see it pills on my skin if I pass the sponge over it more than a couple of times. cream products don't layer over it well - it's hard to blend cream blush, bronzer and highlighter on top and it transfers and moves all over the face. It doesn't really set down, even with powder. I have dry skin and never have issues with uneven coverage or getting a foundation to set down, with or without setting powder. I'm just not a fan, I have wet n wild, Catrice, urban decay and Pat McGrath foundations that all perform better across the cost spectrum.

Unsure. It's not like it's a bad product. I feel it's good quality. I think maybe for a lighter foundation could be a good find. I feel for the price, what my expectations were; not a good buy necessarily. Fell a bit flat for me. I've also only used a couple (2-3) times. Maybe it grows. My skin feels nice.

I don't feel excited afterwords-if that makes sense? Sometimes I put on foundation and I'm like "OO-Hello there!" I put this on and feel like…ehh. Best way I can put it. I did have a more positive prospective when adding a glow enhancer. It's ok.

My New Favorite

I'be been through so many foundations through the years and this one is by far the best. I was an avid wearer of Urban Decay All Nighter and wanted to find something that wasn't as heavy and that looked more glowy for my wedding. I definitely found that in this. It is so comfortable to wear and looks fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better foundation. Looks great in person and in pictures. I got matched in a shade for my tan and I'm about to go out and get one that matches my regular skin color! I can not reccomend this foundarion enough!!

Best Make Up!

I have used this foundation for about a year and it is just THE best. For a bit, I went back to using a Clinique product because it was what I had on hand while waiting for more Beauty Counter to arrive in the mail...the difference was HUGE. The Clinique foundation was much heavier, thicker, and creased noticeably around my eyes and forehead, which made me really self-conscious. I was very happy to get back to using my Beauty Counter foundation! It's so light, the coverage is perfect: it evens my skin without being cake-y. I feel like my skin glows while using this product. Thank you, Beauty Counter!

Harmful for the skin . Not healthy ingredients.

The color match was great . The product made my skin tinkle and burn . I bought a bottle of the twin skin . I returned this product as it did not work for my skin. I hesitate to purchase any of the products from this line as they have many acidic ingredients in several of their products as well as number of synthetic ingredients. Cruelty and began free is the trend but this products contains a number of ingredients which are harmful to the skin. I'm glad I stayed with the foundation which I had been using . I think I " saved " my skin .

LOVE this foundation!

I have been on the hunt for a good, lightweight foundation for YEARS. I've tried everything: Ilia, Tarte, IL Makiage, YSL, Fenty, Glossier, Estee Lauder, Clinique... you name it, I've probably tried it. All of those were either too heavy, broke me out, oxidized, or highlighted imperfections on my skin. Fenty Blur Drops were the closest I could find to what I wanted, but toward the end of the day the foundation seemed to fall apart on me. I'm mid-thirties and have acne-prone, textured skin with large pores. I'm oily but have dry spots from acne, and struggle to find a product that smooths over my pores but doesn't cling to dry spots. This is it. This foundation is the PERFECT coverage amount - it looks and feels like my skin, just better. It wears beautifully all day, and doesn't cling to my problem areas. It applies and blends seamlessly with a brush or a sponge - I just love it. My ONLY gripe is that I am light with pink undertones, and the closest match is light with neutral undertones. It luckily works for me anyway because the foundation just melts in to my skin, but when I first opened the package I thought it would be too yellow. (WHY do so many light coverage foundations lean yellow?!) I really wish they had more cool or peach toned shades. If this formula had Fenty's shade range it would be Holy grail for me, but it's the closest thing I've ever found!

Glowy, Medium Coverage, All Day Wear

I was skeptical of BC's Skin Twin Featherweight Foundation but let me tell you it's a must-have! Super easy to blend, leaves my skin feeling light (almost like nothing is on it), and looking natural! I set with a very light layer of BC's setting powder (which is also amazing) and it ends up looking glowy (not oily) throughout the day which I really like. I haven't had any issues with this settling into fine lines or anything either. Wears more like a skin tint but with better coverage. I will say I do have acne scars that show through a little bit. So if you're looking for full coverage, this isn't it. I'm okay with these blemishes showing through because I do like a natural look. If you're trying to hide those, you may want to use a good concealer or color corrector along with this foundation.

Excellent product

I have never used foundation makeup before (and I'm 68!) but my face has freckles and splotchy areas in it that I thought might be nice to 'smooth over' on occasion. I've frequently thought that so often people apply foundation makeup excessively and I didn't want it to be obvious I was wearing it. Because of my freckles and other irregularities on my skin I was doubtful I could easily finde the appropriate shade. However I think I got it right the first time and am very happy with the results! It effectively 'mutes' the red or blotchy areas - but doesn't look like I've smeared paint all over my face - you can't tell I'm wearing it and it is indeed featherweight. Thank you!

Best product on the planet!

I am in my early sixties and have tried almost everything at least once during those years in my search for natural looking, good-for-you makeup. I don't like to wear much and once it is applied I don't want to worry about it fading or smearing. This Skin Twin Featherweight foundation is just the best! I use it just in the small areas I need it (on sides of nose and in spots to cover redness I have occasionally). I know you are supposed to use coverup for that but I have never found one I like. It either is too chalky, too thick or the wrong color or it wears off after a few hours and most facial makeup adds an oily or creamy look or settles in the wrinkles. Problems, problems, problems.... This product goes on almost invisibly and covers up (or almost covers up) all my slight imperfections...and happily it stays on most of the day without fail. And best of all it just looks like real skin without the fake look. If you pair this with Tripeptide Radiance Serum and/or Overnight Resurfacing Peel and your appropriate moisturizers it is miraculous! I almost forgot, it is not bad for you either! LOVE IT!!!

THE ONLY CHOICE FOR FOUNDATION

I have been wearing foundation since I was 15 years old. That is 25 years of trying basically every brand, from cheap drug stores to high end department store beauty department luxury lines. The featherweight is hands down the best foundation. I love how I can build it more in areas I have blemishes, and use less in areas that I don't and it looks even and natural. I have always struggled with my dry skin getting flakey or the foundation looking "cracked" after a few hours of wear. Or worse, that it is just sliding off my face. Skin Twin does neither. It looks great all day with no touch-ups. No cracking or sliding.
