Bondi Sands PURE Self Tan Foaming Water

It's my go to

It's easy to use, easy to put on, but it will be clear so be mindful of where you have already applied. But it doesn't transfer which is especially nice if you don't want to sleep in a sweatsuit while it develops. It can fade patchy on dry areas but over all my favorite.

Won't repurchase unless it comes in the Ultra-Dark shade.

I'm really glad bondi sands decided to come out with a truly color-less formula! I struggle horribly with self-tan clogging and settling into the pores on my chest and lower legs. I love bondi sands ultra dark foam (regular line, not aero) but I hate how horribly it settles into my pores.

This one does not do that, but the "dark" shade is very orange for my golden/ olive skin tone. I wish bondi sands would come out with an ultra dark colorless formula.

I feel like if you apply enough product, then there's less of a chance for streaks as some people complain with a colorless formula.

Also, I wish it would come in the standard bondi sands packaging. The "pure" packaging is confusing, and would prefer to use the standard foam bottle.

I've been tanning for years, so I'm pretty experienced in self tanning prep, which is crucial to having a positive experience with this product.

Make sure you have exfoliated and shaved the night before tanning. Make sure to moisture you hands, feet, armpits, elbows, and knees.

I really love that I don't have to worry about my clothes or bedding being stained from this product. It gives a beautiful, natural glow. The corresponding body lotion and face tanning mask are great to help maintain.

everything is wrong

I followed the directions on the bottle exactly, between using the right hand motions to spread out the product, how to prepare skin beforehand and how long to leave it on.

1. while putting it on, it was impossible to tell where I had already applied the product (like, if I had any missing spots) because it goes on clear.

2. I used the same level of darkness I always use in the foam version. This product turned me carrot orange, and literally is impossible to scrub off my skin. I've been using self-tan remover every single day for a week, and its still super patchy, ugly and not budging. I work in a hospital, so I'm constantly washing my hands and using heavy-duty sanitizer. I have a nickel-sized spot of tanner that somehow ended up on my palm. I have no idea how its still there.

3. it said to wait until the product was touch-dry before putting on any clothes. It took me 45 minutes to an hour, standing in a well-ventilated room, in front of a box fan, before I was able to dress. The bottle said 15 minutes.. I swear I didn't over apply any product, I have no idea why it took so long!

Very disappointed in this product. I always loved all of their other ones, but this stuff is useless and a waste of money. For the love of God, please, please, do not buy this.

I don't agree with the bad reviews? I've tanned for 5 years and I am a ghost. This stuff is so natural and you don't get those "stretch mark" looking streaks when it wears off. Of course there's going to be build up like any tan…just exfoliate. The smell is eh but what can ya do. It doesn't last long but it's easy to scrub off and reapply.

The key here is to buy the shade of your current skin tone rather than the color you are aiming to achieve. For example, I am fair so I typically buy the light/medium color. To achieve the color you were looking for, apply a second coat after 30 minutes. To deepen the color, apply consistently.

This self tanner is definitely for more experienced tanners - probably even more beneficial if you've previously used Bondi Sands products specifically. This is due to not having a color guide and knowing how to go about applying on your trouble spots.

This is the first self tanner I've ever used that has genuinely been fragrance free. It left a beautiful color and I was able to wear it throughout the workday. I have used many other self tan products, but Bondi Sands always takes the cake.

No transfer, hardly any smell, and last pretty long. No guide tan so be careful but you can for over areas multiple times until it drys. The light color is very light, so I actually prefer the dark. Does stick to dry patches.

I had to try this self tanner out. It was definitely in my top 5 favorites. Didn't stay sticky for long which has been hard for me to find and the smell wasn't to strong! The color was very beautiful too.

Easy to apply and gives a good color, not orange and no streaks. It's easy to build if you want it to be darker. Dries fast and doesn't transfer on clothes, and doesn't really have any type of smell. Just remember to exfoliate so you get the best results :)

The scent is same as any other tanning product I've tried. The longer you wear it the more ripe it gets. I definitely have to shower it off. It's been over a few hours for me, with 2 layers and I am still sticky. If I had any lotion leftover from earlier I proceeded to wipe everything off so nothing was on my skin for it to not dry properly. The foam applicator is a bit tricky. If you don't hold/squeeze the bottle correctly then it will just be liquid, no foam which makes it harder to apply. I don't think I would be repurchasing this.
