From competitive dance to womanhood

My mother got this case for me 6 years ago when I was dancing, performing, and competing. It was the perfect size for everything that I needed no matter where I was.

Now, that I'm no longer dancing I still use it to be able to do my makeup wherever I need to or want to. I took it to college, on vacation, and moved to a new home with it. It is still the right size to carry all of my products that I use on a daily whether I'm going full glam or natural. Despite the beating it took over the years it's mostly in very good shape still. Only complaint is that the bottom arm of the left tray is completely broken off and the inside "cardboard" has detached from the case on that one side. Hoping I can fix it! It can be quite heavy depending on how much or what I have in there but I'd rather take the extra weight for wonderful the case is to use and to organize everything.

It's nice but it doesn't close

I put my makeup and squeezed as neatly as possible and made sure it would fit to close. But it does not close. I am going to exchange it for the other train case and see how that one works. I am disappointed :(

Cheaply made

The inside is great, holds everything I need it to, but like the title says, it's cheaply made. I filled it up with all my stuff, went to carry it out to my car, and the handle broke. I bartend, so I have and use quite a bit of makeup. I really needed something to hold and transport all my stuff in, and this simply wasn't that for me. Would be great for a smaller collection, but just not the right one for me.

Best Gift Ever!

My boyfriend got this for me as a gift after seeing me our whole relationship have to put my makeup into FIVE DIFFERENT BAGS. It is pricey but it's a super thoughtful gift. It has a lot of space that I put ALL my makeup in there and there's still a lot more space. I even fit my hair brushes and and lotions in there and there's still so much more space. Definitely a 10/10.

Exactly what I needed

I had few makeup bags (4 small ones and one simi big bag) full of products that I needed to condense. All of my products fit well. If you have more stuff to put in, you'd probably need a bigger box. I am nervous about getting more make up because it may be pushing it some but overall it works.

Best Buy of 2020....IMO

I am so pleased with this purchase. It has been by far the most used item I have purchased ( outside of toilet paper ) this year - I use it daily and it has made my morning routine less time consuming and yet I experiment more with my goodies. Having visibility to ALL of my options is a dream. I opted for this one over the clear case - it was showing signs of damage at the store - so me and the makeup fairies pitched in a little more moolah and .... see pics.

Love it but check that latches line up

I've wanted one of these for years but never wanted to pay the price. Well I finally got one and I love it! The way the trays fold out gives you extra room to use the side of the lid as a table like space. Just beware it is very heavy if you fill it up though. I love it I think it was a bit over priced the latches don't line up perfectly but I'm glad I bought it.

Overall great

I love the size! It's a lot of room but I do wish that it had removable organizer trays at the bottom where most of the room is but it is not a game changer 😁 it's very sleek and professional looking. I'm glad I found a black case.

Nice Concept but Cheaply made

I bought mine and loved it, but within a month the screws started to fall out and now it's broken. I've only had it for less than 3 months. For the price I'd think it would have been better quality. It does have great space but I would not purchase again because the quality is not great. Really disappointed cuz I have to spend more money now on another one. I'll probably look elsewhere for my new one

Love/Hate

I've had this train case for about 3 or 4 years. I've taken it on road trips approximately 5 to 7 times a year since I've purchased it. The first two years were ok, but I was always very gentle. Even still, eventually, the inner layer, the one that the trays are connected to, started to separate from the outer shell. I've been using binder clips to hold it together since. The size is great, the functionality is great, but you do have to be extremely gentle with it as the quality of the materials just isn't there. Even with gentle care, this is eventually going to fall apart. The inside is essentially cardboard covered in fabric, and the metal hinges are quite thin and flimsy. For the price of this, I do expect more. I'm not hard on this case by any means, but because theres so many trays and so much space, the materials used just don't seem able to withstand the weight of the products inside them. It lasted about 2 years before starting to fall apart. It's held together with clips now. Does it still work? Yes. However I don't think I would pay more than $30 for this model.

fell apart after 2 years

my husband purchased this for me for Valentine's Day 2 years ago. I have several cases from caboodles but I needed one for foundations primers and setting powders. At first I was thrilled with how large this case is. it was deep enough to place small storage crates for additional smaller items. after about three months of use the shelves revealed to be cardboard. the covering was peeling off and the hinges were detaching. right now this particular piece has removable shelves and not in a good way. my husband asked me if I wanted a new case and I told him I did but please don't buy this exact one. all of my other cases have lasted and still look brand new but this one is cheaply made.

Don't waste your money!

I am not a child, but a middle-aged woman. It's went one one trip, by car. Always stays in my bathroom. The arms for the drawers have broken, shelves have fallen apart. Should have paid another $100.00 and bought the Bobbi Brown case!

Lots of Space!

As a self proclaimed (and PROUD!) make up fanatic, I purchased this with the intent of taking it with me to college. I had no intentions of leaving my large make up collection behind but knew I would not have the same amount of storage or bathroom space compared to my own home in a college dorm. This caboodle got the job done for two years! Two move in, two move outs, numerous trips with me back home, and frequently moving about from bathroom to bedroom. I was able to bring with me everything I wanted, except for lip products.

My only slightly less positive than the other comments comment is my lack of understanding why make up storage boxes (caboodles) are lined with fabric. Sure, you can wipe it down with a soapy rag but it is impossible to keep the fabric spotless as the inevitable spilt foundation, power, etc. does not come out. Each time I attempted a cleaning, I was left with a faded smear mark. A plastic inside would allow for better cleaning of spills, and allow for sanitizing the caboodle.

In love w/this case!!

Super roomy and durable. Holds all my makeup. Even my large Morphe pallettes. I like the slots to hold my brushes. The case doesn't smush them when it's closed. Holds the weight of my products really well. Bonus: It locks!

Makeup case

Best purchase yet related to my makeup needs. Now I can see everything I have at a glance without digging in several makeup bags. Regardless of bathroom counter size at home or when I travel, which is a lot, I do not have to worry about makeup falling onto the floor or not knowing where to put it.

Great

I needed a bigger make up case and was afraid it wasn't going to be big enough, but it was and very easy to organize. It does feel very heavy though that's just probably from everything I brought and it's very helpful

Great birthday gift!

I love how easy it is to organize all of my makeup with this! I've got palletes ranging in size from Carli Bybel to little ones like the NYX Ultimate palette. The only flaw about this case is that it doesn't feel sturdy enough to hold some of my "heavier" foundations. I just don't want the slots to slouch (for lack of a better word lol) overtime. Other than that this makeup case is spectacular!

Doesn't survive

I bought this same style a year ago. The trays when lifting them out will eventually not work properly, the buttons or eyelets not even screwed into the wall on the arms of tray bottom eventually pop out and your trays don't work. I love this case but canoodles needs to invent a way that the trays are more sturdy/ screwed in. It was not over packed in anyway. For the price 🤔 make it sturdy. Will be shopping around for a better quality one. I love the capacity. Big disappointment. Don't waste your hard earned change! 💸

Very poor quality

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. When she opened it, the "cardboard-like" trays were already broken. Did not even get to use it for a day! Then, since it's basically an online-only product (since it's NEVER been in stock in any of the 4 stores near me) I️ couldn't just exchange it for a new one and examine it for defects before I️ purchased. Just got my money back and will not repurchase.
