Clarins Double Serum Firming & Smoothing Concentrate

Great Serum

I received a 7-day supply of each of these serums and used them for 7 consecutive days. While I love trying samples, I'm hesitant to give a complete review of skincare samples. Usually skincare products require use over a longer period of time to give an accurate picture. Each of these serums has a rather strong smell. I enjoyed the smell and it was kind of citrusy. The smell didn't last very long and pretty much disappeared once absorbed into my skin. Each sample came with two sides that were required to be mixed before applied to the skin. The serums absorbed into the skin quickly. After the 7 days, my skin looked brighter and healthier. My eyes lost the under eye bags and felt more hydrated. Based on my experience, I would try the full sized products and add them to my skincare routine.

Yes, It works!!

Believe it or not, my 16 year old son introduced me to this product. I complained to him about severe dryness on my face and sun/age spots. My son said, mom, just give Clarins double serum a try. Believe me when I tell you that the improvement was immediate. I know that it's a little on the expensive side but think of the tens of other serum you purchased when , this is the only serum you will ever need. You will not be disappointed. If your skin is dry and you're concerned with fine lines, age and sunspots, this is definitely the serum for you. You will notice immediate difference.

Every hydrating serum but for rich people

I've tested the product in store and looked through ingredients listed online. It's the most expensive snake oil I've ever seen- behind la mer products. It swears by "21 exotic plant extracts" except, first, most of them are less concentrated than "fragrance/parfum". Secondly most of them are ingredients like kiwi, banana, mango, oat, avocado oil? Anything that says "natural anti-aging with plants!" Beware, they're grifting on the fear consumers have of "unnatural things". In reality, organic compounds from many fruits and plant extracts are more irritating and less bioavailable than synthetic molecules. There are very few plant compounds that have positive effects consistently seen in human trials, that is, that they don't have a generally negative impact. There are many other plant extracts that can be sensitizing because realistically, they have compounds that may register as allergens that they've developed over a long period of time. Just look into K beauty brands with plant ingredients, vitamins, and ferments that have at least been studied for some time in Korea. Most other countries cosmetic approval policies are a lot more of a free for all and claims can be made without any proof. For example, here in America, cosmetics (and things calling themselves cosmetics when no one's paying attention) are virtually unregulated and defined as "anything that's put on the outside of the body with the intention of improving aesthetics" so. Just read ingredients before purchasing things, avoid gimmicks. Some expensive brands are really worth the money. This however does nothing for aging outside of plumping the skin temporarily with glycerin.

I am Hooked

I purchased this serum on a cruise ship, and I am still enjoying it daily 6 months later. I'm only halfway through. I got the big one. I love skincare, and I was on vacation. I kept putting some on the back of my hand each day and was blown away by the glow. I am obsessed with the concept of water or hydric product combined with an oil serum. I have read every review telling me why I should or should not purchase it again

Well, I will be back. The antioxidants have brightened my skin and brought out my natural glow. It absorbs perfectly. My skin loves it. I have very very sensitive skin, and the fragrance does not bother me at all. I look forward to using it. It's such a treat. It's the least irritating most powerful antioxidant serum I have found. I use it will my Solawave, and sometimes my Ga'Sha Stone. It's decadent and highly effective. I am 52. It has helped me love my skin, and it's just so delightful to use texture wise and scent as well. Very nourishing.

Give it the time, you will see the results

After seeing this all over my social media, I was intrigued when this was gifted by Clarins for my review. I have used a LOT of skincare products (I'm a reviewer on Skinstagram) and this Double Serum is almost totally unique among the things I've tried. It's a 2-part serum, which pumps out 2 different emollient liquids that you mix together & press into the skin. It feels lovely to apply and smells rich and luxurious. It's packed with plant oils & extracts, plus some other skin-friendly ingredients like glycerin, squalane, & vitamin E, & feels wonderful on the skin. Now for results: I tried a sample of this about 2 years ago and because it was only a one-week supply, I didn't see many results and was left feeling like this was maybe more about the luxurious experience than the actual results. Not so. After 2 weeks of use, I started to feel like my skin tone remained more even with fewer dry patches, & after a month I feel like it is firmer, more balanced, & just glowing in general. I've been very impressed and although this is pricey, I would repurchase - for my maturing skin, it's worth skipping other cheaper/plainly hydrating serums that don't do much except hydration & spend my money on this instead. Just my opinion! Thanks to Clarins.

Healthy glow!

The Clarins Double Serum is a new personal favorite added to my morning/evening skincare routine (as you can use it day/night). The serum is a smooth liquid consistency and it absorbs into your skin leaving you with a fresh healthy glow (not oily looking). My skin was left hydrated and supple. I like how it works well with other products and sunscreen. I've noticed improvements in my skin texture as it's a lot more smoother and the hydration level is appreciated during these cold winter months. This is a serum that is suitable all year-round. It's very lightweight and has a pleasant earthy scent that's not overpowering. Looking forward to seeing how this serum improves my skin and lines around my neck as I apply this to my face and next twice per day. Definitely recommend adding this serum to your collection.

Too fragranced, not for me

This serum is so unique that has a two-phase system. You can see them both when you pump the serum into your palms. I really enjoy the texture and feel of this serum on my skin, however, the fragrance is SO strong, almost unbearable. Parfum is in the first fourth of the ingredients list, which means there is a pretty high concentration of it in the serum. I wish there was a lower concentration because it is so strong that I can barely stand it. Additionally, there aren't really any standout ingredients that see, just a bunch of fruit and plant extracts. Not for me.

I'm excited about my Fountain of youth

Glowing skin!

I'm new to the Clarins bandwagon but am so happy this is the first product I've tried from them! The first thing I noticed was how good this product smells - I can't get enough and it feels like a treat when i apply it. The design of this product is unique in the way that it allows you to customize the amount of serums you're depositing on your skin. My skin soaked this product right up and after consistent use I've been noticing a clearer complexion, an even skin tone, and just overall brightness to my skin. I love this and excited to continue using! This was gifted by Clarins.

Mineral Oil Free

I have been using this product for a couple days now and have been absolutely loving it! In a matter of days I have seen a difference in the pigmentation of old acne scars which have left discoloration on my skin. It feels super light weight on the skin, doesn't leave an odd film, and also doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy! As someone with sensitive skin I also enjoy the fact that this product is mineral oil free! If you are someone who is looking for a great serum that will help even out your skin tone and help with any signs of anti-aging, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
