Increased Coverage But Gave Me More To Cover

I like how this evens out my tone, however I do believe it has been negatively impacting my pores because I have noticed some cysts and clogged pores since I started using it. It does increase my coverage but also gives me more to cover 🙃

Indispensable part of my daily makeup

I have the SOS Primer in green and it is one of the best base products I've discovered in years. I have very fair neutral/olive leaning skin and my biggest issue is redness. Almost every foundation is too dark for me. I mix equal parts of this primer with my foundations and the result is a better color match that helps fight redness. It's a game changer. I still use concealer on my most red spots (mostly my chin), but this primer gives me the perfect foundation match. I've already repurchased it and will do it again. If you're very fair and find that foundations are too pink or too yellow, this might help you too.

I bought it to try it out but I couldn't get over the smell. if I'm smelling something on my face all day, I want it to be decent. I understand fragrance on the skin is not good, but the smell of this is ick :(

Does not work with Skin Illusion 106

I recently had a sample of the SOS universal primer which worked so well under my historical foundation EL Double Wear. But having recently been converted to Clarins I wanted to try a new foundation. I did the research on the Primer's, choosing the Lavendar to brighten my skin. When I put it on under my new Clarins Skin Illusion 106 foundation I looked like a ghost. I used very little product but the results were quite stark. I also noticed that my skin became dry and the foundation was cakey and splotchy on my face.

To make sure it was the primer and not the foundation, I skipped the primer and voila' beautiful, luminous skin, sans the primer. My pre make-up routine includes Micellar Water, Toner, Blue Orchid facial oil, and Double Serum. I have also started putting a small drop of Double Serum into the foundation-EXTRA DEWEY SKIN!!!

I use it mixed with a dot of my regular foundation

I bought the peach color in this product. My skin is quite good so I don't use a lot of foundation, and don't usually use a primer. But this primer is exceptional! It has a lovely light fragrance and I use it alone with powder or a dab of my regular foundation mixed in. You can add foundation on top of this primer, but to save time I mixed it and it works great. Also provides some around the eye coverage and evens out the skin tone. I will definitely keep using this!

Love it for summer

I hate wearing a lot of make up or make up I can feel on my face especially in the summer. This bronzing primer is the best primer ever. You can use it with or without foundation. I like to use it without foundation in the summer and it just enhances your skin tone enough to look as though you just spent a day at the beach. It has quickly become one of my all time favorites and I like a lot of Clarins products

Instant addiction!

The primer I didn't know I needed! I chose this as a free sample and got the 00. I was very pleased with the subtle luminous effect. It is so light weight and works well under liquid or powder foundation, or by itself for a fresh look. I have added it to my daily routine and will be buying more.

Give it Time to Set, Provides Beautiful Sheen

I use a water-based foundation and wanted a break even from that. I read up on primers, especially primers you can use to replace your foundation. I put this over my oil free moisturizer, and gave it about a half hour to set in, and it looked like I was already wearing foundation. So I just lightly brush a powder over and I am done. My face feels light, fresh, clean, easy for summer, and looks radiant from the subtle sheen of the primer. I won't be going back to foundation until winter for sure! Highly recommend. Haven't tried the other colors yet but might and do some blending. The possibilities are endless.

Lavender works well but not the golden pearl

I have a mixed feeling of Clains SOS primers. I received 05 lavender primer as a gift and it immediately brightened my face (I'm northern Asian with warm golden toned light skin). Then I purchased 08 rosy gold pearls primer. It's much thicker than 05 lavender due to too much filler (shimmering particles) and doesn't blend well. It's not a primer but a liquid highlighter. If you really want to illuminate your skin without dramatic/stage effect, please ignore 08 primer. I assume the 00 universal light should be a good choice.

DOES NOT COMPARE WITH EXTRA COMFORT FOUNDATION

I used to use the 105 and 107 of the Extra Comfort Foundation 1.1 oz, it came in a jar and I dipped some out with a plastic spoon. Some of the Calrins products used to come with the little plastic scoop, but not anymore. I had to use the SOS Rose Primer with it because I needed a rose based foundation. Seeing as how I have been in the house all winter, I tried the 107 of the Everlasting Foundation with the Rose SOS and still found that I had to put some of the Restorative Day Cream with it in order to get a smooth and even covering of the foundation. The foundation+ SOS just didn't go on smoothly. And it looked artificial to me, just not my face color, so now I am having to find another shade of the Everlasting to use. The old Extra Comfort worked great with my dry skin and then you retired it.
