Works beautiful

I was a Lancôme loyalist for years until i feel like they changed their formula. My eyes loterally were burnt swollen and irritated. Clarins thankfully has a super gentle formula that removes every tiny speck pf mascara with one mini scrib of this lixurious oil!

I should have stuck to what I know

I wanted to try a new cleansing oil for my double cleansing regimen and wanted to like this one. It has left my face itchy, red, and inflamed. I am even wondering if my moisture barrier has been damaged and if it has some hidden actives or acids in it.

Great cleansing oil

I use this cleansing oil when I want to smell the pretty fragrance as I take off makeup after work. If I don't follow with another cleanser and toner, I break out. I prefer the old formulation of the cleansing milk 40 years ago when I started Clarins age 19. I'm going to gift this to my gf and switch back to the cleansing milk. Awesome texture, smell and effectively removes face makeup and sunblock on both face and neck,

A Favorite Product

Although I liked the consistency of the Pure Melt product, I am happy with the Total Cleansing Oil. You're probably not supposed to, but I use it over my eyes to remove eye make-up too. I like the fact there is NOT a fragrance.

Bring back Pure Melt!!!!!!

This cleanser in no way measures up to Pure Melt. Why do you continue to discontinue excellent products?! You discontinued Pure Melt and Instant Concealer. Now I have to find another company to provide my cleanser and concealer. So disappointing

Sensitive skin Godsend

I have eczema on my face and have been trying every cleanser to find one that calms my skin, restores the moisture barrier and doesn't make the dry scaliness worse. This oil cleanser checks all the boxes. My skin is clean, smooth and hydrated.

Ugh... Rancid!!!

This is so disappointing! I hesitated to order a full-sized product based on some iffy reviews which mostly mentioned a strong scent, and instead chose it as a sample with a recent order. I was hoping for a product that would be like the discontinued Oil Melt Cleanser that I adored. It is NOT. First whiff was bad, but unfortunately I had also chosen it when I placed an order for my husband before this first one arrived. So now I have two little bottles of a ghastly product that actually stings the face a bit. Yes, I tried it as I'd hoped I was overreacting. The second bottle is just as noxious and I don't know how to contain my frustration at Clarins for discontinuing beloved products at a frightening pace these past 5 years or so. I have used the brand faithfully for almost 40 years now, remembering the old ads for bust creams when I was a teen in Switzerland in the late 60's. Taking away the Gently Foaming Cleanser and Alpine Milk too, along with some of my other standbys feels so wrong. It's good to develop new products for a new generation but keep the classics! Maybe the full-sized product doesn't smell like this, and maybe it works wonders, but based on this sample I'll never pay to find out.

Made me break out

I've been using Clarins my entire adult life and have always loved the products. I loved the feeling of this too, until I started breaking out. It can only be this because it's the only new thing I'm using. Very disappointed. Won't buy again.

Meh

I was hoping to like this product more.

The consistency isn't that oil-y, more watery. So because this product is more of water consistency it works best when you work the product onto dry skin first as opposed to wet skin which will water down the product even more. I will not repurchase this product, unfortunately.
