Deep cleans pores but doesn't irritate sensitive skin

I have skin that's prone to both eczema and acne and I was having issues with lots of clogged and very visible pores. I bought this to use as pre-cleanser a few times a week to help deep clean my pores and it has helped a lot! I use just 3 or 4 pumps of this cleaser after removing my makeup and it helps get any leftover product off, then I follow with my hydrating Cerave cleanser. My face just feels so soft and clean when I use this. My pores are less visible and my eczema isn't bothered by this product at all. I love this and I'm definitely buying more when I run out!

new staple in my routine

im so glad i gave this a chance because it changed my skin! i have sensitive combination skin that leans more towards dry and is acne prone. ive started using this oil for my double clensing process. my skin has never been this smooth and spotless!!!!

this oil does wondering at removing all types of makeup and i will continue to rub my skin for 1 minute straight to get the gunk out of my pores. you'll be able to feel the dirt/blackheads coming out! then i'll wash my face with my regular cleanser.

An emphasis on the "deep" cleansing

I saw someone online talk about how cleansing oils can loosen sebaceous filaments and decided to give it a go. It definitely helped me get smaller pores! But it is very stripping to the skin. I would only use this 2-3 times a week knowing what I know now. I used it 2 days in a row after purchasing and now my skin is feeling slightly painful and looking a bit blotchy, but the pores on my nose definitely look smaller. My skin is usually built like steel and very resistant to topicals, so the name "deep cleansing" definitely rings true.

Finally a product that removes waterproof mascara

I've gone through so many products claiming to take off waterproof makeup. Other products I had to rub my eyes to get off my waterproof mascara, just to have some left and my eyes became irritated from scrubbing so much.

I bought this in a whim and I am in love. I always wear waterproof mascara and this does the job. With just a bit of massaging, it dissolves my makeup and leaves none behind.

I figured out that if you use this then a wet make up eraser, every bit of makeup is gone. No harsh smells, rubbing, oiliness or anything left behind. And it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

Will be buying this again! The perfect product for double cleansing.

My sister gave me a tiny travel sized one and used it for about 3-4 days and I still have soooo much left. You really don't need much to cover your whole face. I am an esthetician and feel like this may be the competitor with the dermalogica cleansing oil. I don't find the smell of this product disturbing as other say. It really doesn't smell like anything at all to me. I still have the mini size but I have to buy the big one. It cleared up my acne very well and removed my makeup with a couple drops. 10/10 recommend!

Can't live without!!

I've been ordering this since 2005. I'm never without it, ever! Cleans deep and removes all eye makeup quickly. Leaving face feel smooth and not tight. Follow up with the olive or pure soap. ( which leaves skin with a moisturizer feeling.) Good for ALL skin types and seasons. You won't be disappointed! I discovered it when I got a random catalog from DHC with a few samples. I wish you all would still send first time catalogs to people with the samples. For, had I'd never tried it, I would've never bought it.

Essential!

I've used this product for years now, and it's the only oil cleanser I use. I've tried other products like the Farmacy oil cleansing balms, but they don't even compare! I do the dry-on-dry technique, and rinse with water after massaging it into my face — my waterproof makeup and sunscreen melt right off. I like that my face feels squeaky clean after. It might seem "dry", but cleansing should be followed up with a normal cleanser and hydrating products as per a typical skincare routine. I never feel any residue after using this, and it's gentle on my acne-prone skin. It's phenomenal :,)

Melts makeup off

I have tried makeup wipes, micellar waters and cleansers to take off my makeup, but nothing has worked like this. It isn't super cheap for a makeup remover, but it is worth spending the money to me. It lasts me a couple months, although I recently started using it in the morning as well so I may start going through it quicker. My makeup slips right off my skin the second I start rubbing the oil in. I was kind of skeptical trying it at first because it is an oil and in my mind that equates to clogged pores and breakouts, but I am so glad I tried it.

This is the holy grail of makeup remover

I have been using this for over 15 years! It's the only thing that removes all of my eye makeup without irritation. I have a weird skin condition that causes the skin on my eyelids to get very irritated, swollen and then my skin flakes off. This is the only makeup remover that doesn't irritate my skin and has actually improved my skin condition. I haven't had an outbreak since I have been using this cleaner. I will even use it on my kids to remove costume or performance makeup and it doesn't irritate their sensitive skin.

Simple. Does what it says

I have tried oil cleansing in the past and didn't like it but I am trying it again. I purchased this for a double cleansing routine. I think it cleans better than a regular cleaner because my skin feels very clean afterwards with no oil residue left over. The oil is a good consistency. One pump covers my whole face. I still go in with another cleanser afterwards which I have been using SkinFX and then I have been using DHC vitamin C essence followed by the Olive Oil Essence. Looking for a really lightweight moisturizer for oily skin to top it off but haven't found that yet. I would recommend this product. I think it's pretty simple and basic but does what it says. I choose DHC because many of the products have a minimum amount of ingredients.

A Favorite Through All My Skin's Moods.

I have used this product for years, and keep coming back to it no matter what else gets put on the market -- and I usually can't stand anything oily on my face. It has worked for however my skin reacted in whatever climate I was living in. When my skin was oily in hot, humid weather, this oil rinsed clean with no residue. When my skin was completely parched from cold and dry surroundings, this soothed my skin at the end of the day. It removes all makeup without harsh tugging or scrubbing, softens skin, but always rinses off without leaving any oiliness behind.

Indispensable

I've been using this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT since about 1993. I just turned 54 and 30 year olds ask me my beauty routine. DNA is only 20% of the equation. This cleanser and Olive Virgin Oil are 2 items I've never gone without. I have definitely rotated a couple trendy products in over the past few years, but THESE two products can't be cast aside. If you do the double wash, this must be one of your cleansers. If you do a single wash, this should be your only daily cleanser. Deep Cleansing Oil + Olive VIrgin Oil=the most balanced, supple skin.

Great oil cleanser for TWO STEP PROCESS

I don't think a lot of users know that cleansing oils are part of a double cleanse process. You can't just wash your face with oil. The oil cleanser clears most makeup and buildup so your actual face cleanser can do it work. And normally this should be an end of day process with no morning wash. I use this as my oil cleanser. I love it. Gets the skin primed for my next cleanser and lasts forever. I use Dermalogica special cleansing gel as my second step and this is much better price than their oil pre cleanse, works similar for me. I immediately put hyaluronic acid serum on my damp face after and have no dryness.

The very best, but not just for your face!

I have been using this product for many, many years. Don't let the word oil stop you, it truly rinses completely away. And it's not a goopy, heavy oil like some of the other cleansing oils out there. Also, when it's time to get rid of styling product buildup in my HAIR, I will carefully massage in this oil and comb out with the finest tooth comb I can find, and let it sit for a half our or so. Rinse very well then shampoo and condition well, and wow. Super clean and shiny and silky. Not even a hint of oily residue. This is one amazing product for sure.

Simple and effective for controlling oil buildup

I have combination acne prone skin and this works excellently as the first part of a double cleanse routine to remove makeup and sebum/oil plugs. I get bad clogged pores on my nose especially and this minimizes that in a healthy way (boo pore strips). My skin is both dry and oily, and it removes the excess oil buildup without drying out my skin like makeup wipes do. It doesn't make your skin oily at all and my face is even less oily throughout the day because of it. And it emulsifies perfectly with water leaving no oily residue behind which cannot be said for all oil cleansers!

Their sciencey explanation can use some work though lol. I'm a chemical engineer and "like attracts like" is not a thing - they're conflating "opposites attract" with what they probably meant being "like DISSOLVES like" which probably is the reason why this product works. The oil cleanser dissolves and breaks down the oil/sebum in your pores and then it emulsifies in water washing it away. Okay sorry rant over lol

Great for Double Cleansing!

Apply this to a dry face and massage it for a minute or two to watch your makeup melt off! This is so much better than using makeup wipes.. no need to pull on thats sensitive eye area to remove the eyeliner and mascara! Just gently rub and it comes right off. Rinse with water, then wash with your usual cleanser. I have sensitive, somewhat dry skin and my skin had no negative reaction to this. Since I started double cleansing I have noticed my skin looks much clearer! This cleanser does smell a bit like olive oil but it's not strong at all and does not leave your skin feeling greasy. I have not tried using this as my sole cleanser so I cannot say how it may affect your skin used alone, but mg skin does not feel tight or greasy before my second cleanse with my usual face wash.

The Best

I received a sample from DNC of the Deep Cleansing Oil and was really happy with how fast my eye make dissolved without having to rub hard under my eyes and eye lids to get rid of my mascara. I had been looking for a item that I could use and stop purchasing the make-up remover cleaning clothes, they never took all the mascara off and I would have apply eye make-up remover as well. This is it for me, I use it as soon as I come home from work to remove my face and eye make-up. My skins feels clean and fresh, I never have to rub. I usually only need 1 pump from the dispenser, smooth gently over my face, eyes and eye lids then rinse completely with cool water, followed by washing my with my face cleanser. What a amazing product. I have no irritation, have used this product for over a year now - Will never use anything else.

I have been using this for 20+ years!

I take skincare seriously. this was the first product I ever used that made me this way. I have combination skin: Dry parts, and oily parts... and sensitive skin too. This is so good at balancing my skin, the dry parts are less dry and the oily parts stop being oily. Now that I am middle-aged, it's mostly dry... and this melts away my CC cream and eye makeup every night. I always follow up with a mild soap afterwards, and then my skincare treatments. But this is my "foundation" of my entire routine. Could not be without it.

Quick One Step Cleanser

I have been using this cleanser for several years. I continue to order because it is an easy one step cleanser that removes even the most stubborn mascara. It does not leave my face feeling or looking greasy, just completely clean. I like the ease of use, the delivery of the product and the fact that the cost doesn't break the bank. It is worth what I pay and more. I will continue to order it because it is a tried and true cleanser. I would recommend it to anyone. I have combination skin---oily t-zone.

Best cleanser for all skin types

I have been using the deep cleansing oil for 2 years now and this has greatly improved my skin. Over the past several years, my skin has changed from having oily skin for most of my life, to now a more combination and sensitive type. Before I started using the oil cleanser, I was using all different brands of cleansers and these did not help my face. I would have breakouts and avoid any product with oil because my face was already oily. I read all the good reviews for the oil cleanser, so I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, my face started clearing up quickly while using the cleanser and my face was no longer oily by the end of day. Now, my face is very clear and I don't have breakouts anymore. Also, my face isn't oily like how it used to be years ago. The cleanser doesn't dry out my skin at all and after washing my face, my face feels clean. The cleanser lasts a long time also, I only use 1 or 2 small pumps each night and the larger bottle lasts me like half a year. I highly recommend!
