Eyeko Black Magic Vegan Liquid Eyeliner 2-stars Reviews
I am so disappointed
I am so sad and heartbroken with this purchase. I haven't worn makeup since the pandemic began but have started to go out again and needing makeup.
Over the past year my eyelids have become very oily. My usual go tos (Stila, KVD) have started to melt onto my lid as soon as I put it on because of these new oily lids. Even with primer on they melt right away. I googled and the product was the at the top of the list for oily eyelids. I was delighted to see an earlier post of someone else with oily monolids raving about this eyeliner, which led me to purchase it.
Annddd after two hours it melted. I would say it's not as badly melted as KVD or Stila, but I'm still disappointed. I just want to put an easy liner/mascara look on and don't want to have to use primer and shadow on to make liner last.
I will experiment to see if eye primer will prevent this product from melting and update this later. If not I'm returning it.
Terrible color payoff
Watery color, not a dark solid black as advertised no matter how much I shake it first. I don't mind the brush tip but without pigment it's like what's the point? Got it on sale but still a waste of money and can't currently return to a physical store and don't want to spend money to ship it back.
Smears
Tried this for the first time yesterday and already not a fan. The product smears for some reason. It'll spread to an area directly adjacent to where I applied the liner. I've never experienced something like that before. Almost like the product is very watery. Also, it's not very black. Almost like a charcoal black color. 2 stars for ease of application though. The tip allows for very fine lines. If only it doesn't spread around.
I've only had it for a month.
my eyes are usually watery and this eyeliner doesn't hold. smudges and not long lasting. if i rub my eye..it's game over. i also have to go over it to keep the liner dark. iclove that it's a felt tip but doesnt come on dark.
Not worth it for me
I'm used to Stilas liner, but decided to give this one a try since it had good reviews. I usually only line my lashline and occasionally do a wing. The first time I tried applying this to my lashline it was very streaky. It was hard to get product off the tip so I tried placing the applicator flat on my lashline, but it was still streaky. When I tried a wing, it was hard to get a consistent color output. The wear of this was not fabulous either. There was significant smudging after gym days, but even regular wear, it transferred by the afternoon. Only upside is it didn't irritate my eyes, even when I got product directly into my eyes when applying.
Very Dry
Not sure if i just got a dud but i purchased this product based on all of the amazing reviews. Upon first application it was extremely dry and hard to line with. I kept going over and over the line and barely any product was even coming off of the brush. Disappointed.
