Eyeko Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eye Liner 2-stars Reviews
Not so skinny
Not sure why this is branded "skinny." I love their black magic line, which can do a very thin line perfectly. Got this in a Birchbox. No matter how careful I am, the thick applicator completely fails to lay down a straight, thin line. Won't be buying this one - I'll stick with the black magic, which is my favorite liquid liner to date.
Not Smooth Gliding
Idk if the sample I received was dried out, but this did not glide smoothly. I liked the tip firmness, but I had to use short strokes, which made for a lot of mistakes. It doesn't smudge or flake, which is a plus.
Not worth it.
I was looking for an alternative to KVD tattoo liner which is my go-to. Just wanted to see what else is out there even though I love what I currently use. The reviews convinced me to give it a try. Nope. The felt tip itself is very wide so there aren't enough options for making a thinner line. The color is very bold black which I loved. The huge downside is this. Halfway through the day I caught myself in the mirror and the liner spread up my eyelid so it almost looked like I was trying to do a smokey eye and then cried a bunch. Not a good look. Then, I tried to smudge it off and the stuff that spread won't budge! I thought maybe I didn't let it dry enough so I tried again today. This time I blew my hairdryer on cold on my lids for 30 seconds and used UD setting spray. No difference. Here I am with raccoon eyes I can't fix until I get home. Pic attached shows the wing (intentional) and the smudging (not intentional). It's a real bummer and also really embarrassing. Back to KVD forever!
Not good for crepey lids
I feel like I'm one of the only people that really didn't like this liner. I got it in my ipsy bag and wanted to love it, but after the first application it just never applied the same. There was no pigment in the end of the felt tip, so I was applying liner from the middle of the tip and couldn't get a crisp line. And my line kept getting thicker and thicker. I'm glad I only got a travel size because I won't feel guilty getting rid of it.
ehhh
I wanted to like this but unfortunately I hated it it takes forever to dry and it's wayyy to smudgey for me I prefer an eyeliner that stays in place only thing I like is that it's easy to use just wish it didnt smudge
Maybe I just got a dud?
Originally I first got this liner as a sample and fell in love! I believed it was my new go to liner and I luckily caught the full size on sale on line and purchased it. The full size is nothing like the sample and I am very disappointed because I was so excited about it. The liquid is all at the base of the applicator but not the tip and makes the application unnecessarily difficult and spotty. I even leave it in a jar upside down to ensure the liquid will saturate the applicator but still there is no difference. I usually have to go back in with another liquid liner to fill in what this one will not. Maybe I just got a dud but I will be leery about buying another one to find out.
Didn't work for me
I had a really hard time putting it on. I couldn't get a good grasp on it. I noticed that it didn't have the staying power that other prestige eyeliners have. I only used it a few times and I wasn't impressed.
dry and not that black
I was very disappointed with the product. I hear good things about the brand and bought it during days of Beauty sale. The pens was dey and was applying uneven and skipping. I tried searching it on my hand only only got one black line the other 5 lines were a faded gray. It came completely dried up. Even on sale it was still over $10. Save your money for Stila, KVD, or even tarte which I have tried and have been satisfied with
Dried Out
The very first time I tried to use this it was already dried out. I had to work with it for 10 minutes just to get some color. I bought it during the 21 days if beauty sale and maybe it was just a bad tube.
Eh. won't be buying again
I was excited about buying this because not only was it on sale, but it had such high reviews. The application is great, the tip is firm and glides on straight. By the end of the day, it stayed on pretty well but I had a black crease in my eye lid and that made my lid feel oily. I work in the medical field so I don't even really get to check my makeup often so seeing this made me petrified I looked like that all day. Like a dang raccoon.
Transfers to my lids no matter what I try
Primer doesn't help. My eyes look dirty at the end of the day. It goes on nicely but dang, it's the worst product I own about transfer to my lids. I have fairly oily lids but I've been able to find cheaper products that stay better and perform similarly initially. I will definitely not repurchase.
