Don't buy hot tools

I had a different hot tools curling iron which I loved but stopped working around 2 years. I bought this one and it wouldn't even turn on I tried multiple outlets around my condo too. Not wasting my money on hot tools anymore!!

Glitches and turns off!

I'm so mad! I love this curling iron but the last two I've purchased start self turning off and glitching. I love this iron it does an amazing job for my thick and long hair, but keeps breaking. Will not buy this specific hot tool again.

Useless

I tried so hard to do anything to make my curls hold and nothing. No matter what products I added nothing held my curls. I feel like I was burning my hair for nothing. I would curl my hair and as soon as I was done I noticed I had to go back and recurl. I tried to return it and the sales associate said I needed to increase the heat and have it held in place longer. So, I did. Still nothing. I have very thin hair. I was at max heat leaving it in place for 25 seconds. That is way too long and not healthy at all. I would not recommend. My friend has this and she swears by it that it's the best. But for some reason it just does not work for me.

Does not hold

I bought this curling iron with high hopes but no matter how much hair spray or anything I use my curls fall out in 1 minute. I've used other hair curlers that have held my curls very well but this one is not good at all

I would not buy!!!!

Purchased this during Christmas 2020 for my sister. We are in April 2021 and my sister burned/broke off the chunk of hair she was styling. I thought she was bullshitting until I was the one styling my hair with this curling iron and I burned/broke off my own hair. I was in shock as I saw my hair falling out of the curling iron and I was left with a wibble of hair. I cried. And I'm still crying. DO NOT PURCHASE

this sucks idk why

i thought it was gonna be a really high quality curling iron by the looks of it but for some reason it just doesn't curl my hair. it does not hold at all. i've tried hairspray it's no use. i've used the highest heat setting and there's no difference. my sister was given the exact same curling iron for christmas and she says she's experiencing the exact same problem

Doesn't glide, gets stuck in hair

This curling iron just immediately sticks to my hair as soon as I clamp it, gets stuck, doesn't glide through to curl. If I try to drag it through, it obviously rips out hair and makes it super frizzy. I have never had an issue with a curling iron like this...very strange.

Bummer

I was so excited to get the digital version. Unfortunately, this would not glide through my hair at all! It would just stick. I have soft, fine hair and this has never been a problem with any other product. I am so disappointed. I had to exchange it for the regular gold curling iron. It works so much better for me.

Didn't turn on

Unfortunately, I can't leave a fair review since the curling iron wouldn't turn on straight out of the box. Tried using multiple different outlets but the on/off button doesn't work. Received this as a sample (required to leave a review) and the 1 star is due to it being a defective product or something that's incredibly difficult to turn on.

Otherwise, Hot Tools is a great brand that I've used before- just think this one was a dud!

Don't buy

I've had hot tools curling iron for years so I decided to buy a new one. This iron for whatever reason doesn't glide through hair, it gets stuck. So if you have long hair good luck trying to curl your entire strand without ripping out hair in the process. No idea why this curler doesn't glide through hair like my old version does. I will be returning

I previous bought a Hot Tools curling iron about 6 months ago and it up and stopped working. I just bought this 2 days ago, plugged it in and it will not do anything, at all. I tried a few different outlets just to be sure and NOTHING. I will never buy another Hot Tools again.

NOT SMOOTH

I bought this curling iron for my mom for mother's day and she said it doesn't glide smoothly when curling her hair. The clamp between the barrel and her hair just stick to her hair without letting it go with a curl! This sucks because now I have to get another curling iron and this had so many good reviews!! do not buy it!!! Even if it is on sale!!
