Hot Tools Pro Artist 24K Gold Digital Curling Iron 2-stars Reviews
Doesn't hold a curl!
This does not hold a curl!! I had my Babyliss from probably 5 years and it held a curl great. This one does not! No matter how hot I set it, or how long I wait at that temperature. Even with additional products in my hair before I curl it, it sucks!! Really disappointed!!
Do not buy it doesn't last!!
I purchased this curler only 6 months ago. At first it was great until it started to shut off on its own. I would turn it back on and mid curl 1 minute later it was off again. Eventually it stopped turning on. I expected it to last more than 6 months pretty disappointing
Not worth it
I wanted to love this so much, but I ended up taking it back after a few days. My main issue is that, no matter how I use this, it always leaves a giant crease in my hair. Every. Single. Time. Besides that, the few times I was able to curl it without there being a crease, if you so much as breathe on the curl, it falls out and you have to start over. So, so frustrating. Like the other reviews said, it doesn't hold a curl and it's so hard to get through your hair. I would not recommend this unfortunately.
Don't waste your money.
This is a terrible design. The stand that holds it up when not in use is located on the metal and it heats up as well. When you put the curling iron to your hair, you have to be careful and not hit yourself in the forehead with the scolding hot stand. Also, the stand is to hold up the hot iron - having it scolding hot defeats the purpose of the stand. Also, the portion of the clip that you press to open the clip gets very hot as well. The finish of the iron itself is terrible in that your hair kind of sticks. Most expensive iron I've purchased and the worst in quality and design. It's going in the garbage.
Doesn't hold curls
The curling iron itself is beautiful and looks really expensive and professional but doesn't hold a curl at all! It doesn't give off tight curls but will give you beautiful loose curls but DON'T LAST! If you want a little something at the ends so it's not just pure straight hair, it will give you that. But if you're going for tight curls or all long wear (or all day) loose curls, they won't stay :( I'm very disappointed because I love the hot tools brand and just knew I was getting a great curler! I'm more than likely gonna return it.
So Disappointed
I tried so hard to love this. I dreamed of loose, stylish waves. I didn't get anywhere close. I tried different heat settings. I tried first flat ironing my hair and I tried using it the day after a shower where my hair was in it's natural state. And none of my attempts gave me anything close to what I was looking for. My hair looked like it always does. There were very few waves. I've loved and used other Hot Tools products, so this was a major disappointment. I won't buy this product, nor can I recommend it to others. It's disappointing.
Not as good as other Hot Tool products...
Purchased this iron in a 1 1/4 inch cuz I've been using my hot tools 1 inch since 2010ish. This iron didnt hold a curl in my hair well at all. I tried no product the first time and by the time I finished my head all my curls from the beginning sections had fallen. I was on my way to a concert so I basically had a meltdown. I then tried using it again in the next few weeks. I tried with hair products still fell. I tried day 1 clean hair and even 3 day hair still no hold!!! I realize it was time to return it. The curls were only visible all the way at my ends. I have pretty long hair the longest part almost to my belly button and even when I could curl from my roots the top part of my hair was just flat. So flat. This iron looks really nice and I love the digital buttons but it just wasnt for me ):
