Replaced 30 year old Hot Tools

This replaced my VERY old hot tools curling iron that used to be my mom's. It works almost identically the same but with the upgraded heat adjustment and digital screen. The only thing I don't like is how the cord is a 90 degree angle and it's annoying to set down on the counter. Works great though and make awesome curls.

Hot!

I received a Hot Tools Professional 24K Gold 1-1/2" Digital Curling Iron from Tryit Sampling Community. I just cut my waist-length hair to my shoulders, and all of a sudden I had waves that went every witch way. This curling iron Handled it with no problems at all.

WORKS WELL!

This is one of the classiest looking curling iron I've owned! The gold wand looks great with the black handle. My hair is just past my shoulders and the 1-1/2" wand gives me a lovely, long lasting, easy going, beach curl look. I love the digital heat button, which allows me to precisely set the temperature, at the push of a button! It heats up very quickly, which I really like. The handle is comfortable to hold and I have no trouble using the wands lever. When I first saw it, I thought it might be a bit tricky, but it's fine! It also comes with a stand! I really like that! The instruction booklet has useful information and safety tips, so I'd suggest reading them before using the curling iron. I'm happy to recommend it.

Works well

I love this curling iron! It is high quality, holds hair firmly, heats up quickly, has a long cord that swivels easily, and most importantly, it does an awesome job of curling my long, wavy, unruly hair! I bought the 1.5" barrel and it is perfect my my styling needs, which include styling my bangs and also straightening and curling-under my long, layered hair.

I was super tickled to get this Hot Tools Professional 24k Gold 1-1/2 Inch Digital Curling Iron on the way to me!! I have longish hair that's almost to my butt & I was looking for something to give my hair nice big curls when I needed them & this just seemed to be perfect!

It arrived extremely fast & was packaged to prevent any kind of damage during shipment which I really appreciated. No one wants to receive their awesome new hair tools damaged. So I hope they know it matters!

The curling iron itself came in it's basic black box with gold writing on it & a nice picture of the curling iron. I loved that I could see what the curling iron looked like before even having to take it out of the box. I like not having to pull the product out of a box just to see what it looks like because it's quite frustrating when you have to do that with certain packaging that only has words on it.

The curling iron was super easy to remove from it's packaging which is also very much appreciated. Makes it such a better unpacking experience. It was just nicely put in a plastic bag with the cord secured with a twist tie & it even came with a little instruction manual in case this is someone's first purchase of a curling iron & they aren't sure how to use it. Plus it gives you product registration info & things like that.

I really liked how the curling iron looks in general. The nice basic black looks good paired with light gold of the barrel. Even where the dial & on/off button are, looks nice & simple. There's gold writing on it that just tells you where to turn it on or off and a place to turn the heat up or down. As well as a lock/unlock button. On the end of the handles there's a place with the Hot Tools logo.

The long handle is great. It keeps your hands away from the heat. Just like the longer tip of the wand at the end of the barrel. Great thought went into the making of this curing iron. And it matters especially when the heat gets up to a really high 450 degrees that is nice & very consistent and even. You don't want to burn your hands or fingers & this really helps out so you don't.

When I tell you that this curing iron gets hot & stays hot, I mean it! I love the digital heat settings because you can set it to the temperature that is perfect for your hair. It's a curling iron that will work on everyone's hair type. Since it's great settings are customizable & you have this wonderful 24k gold plated barrel/wand that keeps the heat even to provide longer lasting results, that means anyone truly can use it.

When you're using this curling iron, you're making sure your curls & styles last longer. You even have a safety cut off that automatically cuts the curling iron off after you're done using it. So so important to me! The versatility off this curing iron makes it great for all situations. You can make big curls using it like a curling iron. Or, you can use it like a wand! I really liked using it as a wand when I was in a hurry to get my hair done & traveling at the beach. When I could take my time & do my hair, I enjoyed using it as a curling iron because it's super precise. Oh, and it has a nice long cord that doesn't get tangled while I'm trying too curl my hair. I love it.

I truly recommend that you give this awesome curling iron a try if you're looking for something that works on any hair type & that is made of quality materials. You honestly can't go wrong with this one. I guarantee you will love it. I mean honestly, what more can you ask for? You have a wonderfully made product that provides results that rival other brands that are extremely expensive. Plus it's from a brand that we all know & trust already. Oh & did I mention that it's made of great materials & it comes with a 10 year limited warranty?!! You can't ask for any more. Truly. Especially for the price.

So far so good.

I like the product but I have only used it once. When pulling my hair through the iron, I met with some resistance. Curls looked good and held. I am very happy. I wondered about the inclusion of a replacement spring part for the clip. I have never had one when I bought a curling iron. It made me think this part will wear out which I'm not happy about. I don't use a curling iron often so hopefully I won't have to use the enclosed replacement part.

I love this curling iron

The only issue I have is that sometime my hand hits the dial that not only changes the temperature but controls the lock unlock feature. But I'll get use to it. I absolutely love the curling iron itself it heats up fast and I can handle my long hair a lot better.

Great curling iron

I ordered this during the hair event when it was on sale. I was looking for something new because I wasn't happy with my Babyliss curling iron. This iron is WAY better! I love the temperature dial, and I like that you can lock and unlock the setting in case you hit the dial while curling. The clamp is also very sturdy and holds the hair well. Whereas with by Babyliss, my curls would fall within an hour, my hair held a curl so well with this one (used hairspray). Definitely recommend, but would wait for it to go on sale!

I would recommend this product!

I use this product to give my hair volume. My hair is stick straight but frizzy, this product has brought my hair back to life! It is extremely easy to use and holds curls all day. I have used many different brands of curling irons and this is my favorite! I would definitely recommend this curling iron!

Long lasting, loose curls

I have tried a lot of different curling irons but I really liked this one from hot tools. It heats up quickly and It feels really nice in the hand. The rotating cord is a plus as well. I love the digital reading. You can create a tighter curl with this iron but I prefer them looser and more beachy. I highly recommend this iron

Great for large flowing curls

I have been using this curling iron, but my daughter who has the perfect hair for a curling iron such as this. It has great features, with the temperature shown so you know it's ready or even how hot it is, as well as it comes with extra springs for when you have used so much you may need to replace as well as a form to fill out for even more! Seems like a great curling iron for my daughter too because it can literally grow with her and never have to worry about replacing. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because as long as I used curling irons I havent burned myself as much as I did with this one, Not sure if that was more a user error though. It gives smooth large flowing curls, so if your looking for tight ringlets this obviously wouldnt be the right one but I'm sure you can see by the barrel. Both mine and my daughters hair are perfect for these kind of irons since we both have stick straight hair, I will say I had to keep the curling iron held in a curl for over 30 seconds to get the desired result, and if you have limp hair definitely use a styling mouse or gel to keep the curl or just hairspray!

Great Curls

This curling Iron is one of the best I ever owned . It heats really fast and gives me a great long lasting and frizz free loose curls. I really love the sleek beautiful look of this curling iron also . I have hair thats normally hard to curl. But with this curling iron I can get it done quick and easy with curls that actually last for hours.

Great curling iron, but it's a pro. So use it right.

This iron is amazing when you use it correctly. A lot of people curl their hair without knowing the professional techniques (ex. Where the barrel faces, how to turn the barrel, how to use the clamp, what angle to use). Also, a rule of thumb for any curler (honestly, flat iron too) is to tame your frizz first. Use a polish brush.
