I would not buy this again. I would like to return it.
The dryer dries hair really fast but there are a couple things that are annoying. The plug has a ground fault button when I pushed trying to plug it in the outlet and so the dryer doesnt turn on. Also, I would put the controls on the opposite side, Not handy. The diffuser is worthless.
Not 100% in Love
It's nice that this dryer comes with the accessories, but it doesn't seem very powerful. It takes longer to dry my long thick hair. You can do the power boost, but it strains my finger to keep it on the boost button that is not a toggle. Plus is that good for it? will it burn out quicker? I don't understand the ION setting. Which way does it go to be a benefit? I can't figure it out. Honestly I will probably return this for a different dryer. Sad since I really love Hot Tools.
I would not by this product again
I bought this hairdryer about 3-1/2 years ago. I loved it! After about a year, it started making some weird noises. I was afraid the motor was going out. But then it worked fine again for a while. On different occassions it made noises - I just thought well it's fixing to die on me. Finally, one night while blow drying my hair it blew sparks out and almost burned my arm. Left black marks on the inside of my arm. I will not buy this product again.

Calling this Hot Tools hairdryer "Professional" is a stretch. This hair dryer will dry your hair, eventually. I was excited to see this hairdryer add the option to choose your own ION setting, this gives you control over how sleek or voluminous your hair will be that day. With the ION setting, you can dial it in and get the best of both worlds. This hair dryer doesn't get hot enough to straighten your hair or heat up a round brush to add volume or body. The directional nozzle is too wide, not focused enough, heat and air leaks out around the round brush. This hairdryer is lightweight and would only be useful as a travel dryer.
Nice dryer but has a downfall
Heats up nicely but power on/off button is right where you hold the dryer. Turns off repeatedly in the middle of drying hair.
lots of frizz doesn't get hot enough
I wouldn't recommend or purchase this blow dryer again in fact I was completely turned off from the brand altogether. It didn't get hot enough to give me a frizz free shiny blowout, and I can assure you it does not get better over time. Huge disappointment.
So far so good
I love this blow dryer right now. It's lightweight and dries my hair relatively quickly. I read some of the other reviews and I'm hoping it doesn't die on me soon! My only complaint so far is the cool shot button is kind of a pain to use and doesn't seem to want to stay cool. Otherwise I'm happy so far!
Disappointing
This hair dryer has a very sleek design and the colors compliment each other well. The only issue I had with this hair dryer is that it did not have the speed I was looking for. Other people left reviews about the buttons not being in a good spot but I will say I did not have an issue with this. Overall just disappointed with speed.
