Juvia's Place The Taupes Eyeshadow Palette

So disappointed, not at all the same formula I luv

If you want "barely there" makeup, this would be the palette for you. It's next to impossible to get much, if any, real pay off on this palette. Which is wildly disappointed, as I've come to love the formula is all my other Juvia's Place palette. I picked this one up at Ulta because of how much I love the previous palettes formula's (The Warrior, Nubian, The Saharan, and The Festival) but this palette - for the first time - has now made me very hesitant to purchase any further palettes from Juvia's Place. And it was one I was most excited to try, but now it sits in my declutter box.

Not recommended

This eyeshadow pallete has no pigmentation! I bought this pallete because i heard great reviews about their blush and contour pallete. I also wanted to downsize my makeup collection and buy small palletes for everyday use but this will not be staying in my collection definitely returning!

The palette colors look nice in the package, but the pigments in them do not seem intense enough when applied to the eyelid. I'm a bit disappointed.

Great everyday palette

I wear shadow from this palette so many days of the week. It's nice and subtle, but gorgeous. It looks great on zoom. It's so hard to find cool toned eyeshadow palettes, so I'm very happy to have found this one.

Not worth it

I love shadow formulas with soft, buildable pigmentation (and JP's eyeshadows in general), but the mattes in this palette just don't show up. I'm light/light-medium for reference, so maybe those with fairer skin tones would like this better.

These shadows do not layer well. When I tried to add depth to my look with the darkest matte, it applied patchily.

Fortunately, because these shadows weren't pigmented, I recently brushed over my entire look with pressed powder and applied shadows from another palette directly on top instead of completing starting over my eyeshadow look lol

Two stars because the shimmers were really pretty. I might depot them and rehome them in my magnetic palette!

Just not good

I have no idea how this pallete passed quality control at JP... this is one of the worst color payoffs I've ever experienced, which is insane given that I tried other Juvias eyeshadows that had unmatched pigmentation. I ignored all the comments but now definitely see what all complaints were about. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!

I love this palette

I can't believe the 1-3 star reviews. I absolutely love this palette. The pigments are amazing, they last all day and they are easy to blend. The price is also amazing when comparing to similar products. I highly recommend this palette and my daughter agrees.

The Taupes

My first bad experience with this brand. I've been ogling over this one for a year now and it's a huge let down. The mattes are so sheer and are not true to color.

Lacks pigment, hard to build

This palette is not it. Colors are incredibly sheer and hard to build. I have very fair skin and I had to use the deepest shade for my crease, I can't imagine this working for many people. The shimmers were meh also.

I absolutely love this eyeshadow pallet!

The colors are so nice, I just love them all. I bought a second one just in case they discontinue it, I sure hope they don't. I bought one for my sister for her birthday because I love it so much and she said she hasn't worn her other eyeshadows since she got it. She loves it too and I wouldn't be surprised if she bought a backup.
