As an Esthetician and skincare

As an Esthetician and skincare junkie, I've had the opportunity to try a large variety of skincare products from professional to over-the-counter. I appreciate the emphasis on using some unique, natural extracts in these formulations as well as niacinamide to promote an even complexion. I also really liked that extra fragrance was omitted and the beautiful glass packaging that helps protect from product degradation. The texture is fairly light and slightly sticky. As long as it is not overused, it absorbs well. I personally didn't feel like it provided as much hydration as other serums I use and I paired under a moisturizer as suggested. I also noticed some slight redness and irritation. I happen to be a little sensitive and don't prefer using propylene glycol in skincare, although in fairness, many people do fine with it. Overall, this is not a bad product at all, and certainly better than nothing, I just don't prefer it. It could be a great starter skincare product for some but I would not purchase or recommend personally. *I received this product in exchange for my honest review

Hi, my name is Holly

Hi, my name is Holly Lopez, and I am a Beautytap Verified Beauty Expert. I have a professional background in retail and healthcare but have a personal passion for skincare and beauty. I have been a skincare and beauty content creator for over a year and take special interest in ingredients and formulation. I was sent the two newest Keys Soulcare products, Radiant Eye Cream and Promise Serum, complimentary from Keys Soulcare and Beautytap in advance of their launch to use and review. The Promise Serum contains snow mushroom, green tea, ethyl ascorbic acid, niacinamide and zinc PCA. This combination of ingredients helps hydrate, brighten, and balance moisture levels and oil production. I have grown to appreciate the Promise Serum. It is unscented but the ingredients do impart a vaguely metallic or medicinal scent which I found off-putting initially. The scent does not linger and is not strong but I do find it mildly unpleasant. The serum will also produce a white filmy lather when rubbed into the skin, even gently, so I highly recommend very gentle handling and patting of the product into the skin. Once I began using the product regularly I became accustomed to its subtle quirks and the positive results have proven to outweigh my initial complaints. My skin has been recovering from a recent acne breakout and I began using this serum while my scars were healing. I have noticed a marked improvement in redness around my acne scars and an overall brightening and lightening of older acne scars and hyperpigmentation. My dry to combination skin feels hydrated and more balanced since adding this serum to my routine. I have enjoyed getting an early look at this new Keys Soulcare addition. The Promise Serum has added another healing and balancing option to my skincare ritual. I also sincerely enjoy the unique, mindful and grounding affirmations included with each Keys Soulcare product. I have grown to appreciate the benefits of this serum and think it is worth a try for most skin types.
