Great product, if you know you're hair type & use correctly!

I see many bad reviews because wrong hair types are hoping this will be a miracle product. If you have straight hair, dont bother. This is meant to define your hair. Also, youre not supposed to brush curly hair after! Comb your hair in the shower with a wet brush/comb, apply, rinse and then scrunch your hair while its sopping wet. You want to hear your hair make the "squish" noises. Wrap your hair scrunched in a hair towel to help remove excess water. Air dry and if you want, use a diffuser to enhance! Product alone will not manipulte your natural hair texture, so dont expect to get curls if you have straight hair. Dont expect curls if you have only a slight wave to your hair.

I will buy this product for the rest of my life!

This product makes it so easy to give my waves definition and helps with frizz. And the fact that I can put it on in the shower, and then not even add any more product after, makes my life so easy. No heavy feeling or super crunchy feeling. It is AMAZING!

The best for straight hair girls

Trying to find something that doesn't weigh down my hair and is not sticky was tough to find. This product is everything for a quick post style after shower. I let my hair get 50 dry and I throw a quarter Size amount in my hair and scrunch it upside down. My hair looks great and it holds all day! Miracle product!

Finally!!

I'm so happy this exists. I use the restore shampoo and conditioner, using the conditioner on my roots and the restore deep moister masker through the ends, and then finish with this. Can't believe how much my hair loves this routine!! I'm in the mountains so I have to work extra hard to keep my hair moisturized to prevent split ends and breakage and this does it! I end up with super soft, shiny, smooth waves full of volume and glory. So so happy. I was a little nervous to put through the roots because of some of the reviews, but it didn't get greasy or weird once I tried. In fact, my bangs were absolutely perfect. 🥂

Game Changer!

I have struggled with my frizzy wavy/ curly hair for as long as I can remember. I feel like I've tried everything from over priced to drug store products. The in-shower styler has allowed my waves and curls to last more than 2 days and I can do a quick touch up on day 3. I have left it to air dry and a quick diffuse, both turn out great.

Great for beachy waves

I rinsed too much but still enough to scrunch my hair into beachy waves and so soft. I'm trying not to use any heat on my hair as I'm getting ready to bleach. My hair was crunchy as it air dried reminiscent of scrunch sprays. So full and wavy when I brushed it after it dried.

Beachy/Wavy with No Effort

I have beachy/wavy hair when air dried naturally, but it has a tendency to dry frizzy and poufy. I finger comb in shower after washing and apply about a nickel size dollop to my shoulder length hair. Leave it in for a few minutes, then very lightly rinse mainly from the root area. Squeeze/scrunch out excess water and towel dry for 5 mins then scrunch away but not overworking the hair. I would use this product every day, it doesn't leave a build up in my hair or scalp and my hair appreciates the break from heat and styling.

what sorcery is this?

I have been struggling with my hair lately. I've been trying to stay away from heat styling and prefer a more natural effortless hair look. I don't mind a little frizz but with the high humidity this summer, and having a lot of hair but very fine with ZERO texture I've not had any luck with it air drying and it not looking limp, and flat with the texture of actual cotton candy. Any one else have this problem? I just tried this product following the directions exactly and can't believe how good my hair looks! I was able to get frizz free, shiny full and thick hair with A LOT of soft waves and curls with just this product, air drying and a few scrunching moves. I can't believe how much ticker my hair feels. If you have straight fine/limp hair I would definitely give this a try.

"Lightly Rinse" is the key

This is my go-to, lazy hair day product. I have naturally "bendy" hair...meaning enough wave to not be able to air dry without it looking like bed head. The biggest key is "lightly rinsing" the hair. I don't stick my head under the showerhead after applying this product. I put a tiny bit of water in my hands and splash it on in sections. I also don't comb my hair before or after applying it. I scrunch while towel drying and then wrap my hair in a dowl while getting ready. When I dry, I use diffuser the entire time. If I have time, it does best on cool, but I don't always have time for that. I have fine hair, but a ton of it and it takes forever for it to dry, so this is my go-to quick solution because I don't have to dry it completely. If I straighten my hair, it has to be completely dry or the "bends" show up.

Perfect as a leave in

I have frizzy 2a-2c hair and this product really helps with air drying. If your hair is at all dry, this product is best as a leave in though. Lightly rinsing it out does something, but I can't tell that much of a difference unless I leave it in.

How To Use

Shampoo and condition hair as usual. Then apply this product generously to coat hair from roots to ends while still in the shower. Lightly rinse. Towel dry. Scrunch. Air dry. This product enhances your natural texture so if you have naturally straight hair, try putting your hair in braids or buns and letting it air dry for best results. USAGE TIPS: It might take some experimentation to figure out how much rinsing you need after applying PhD In-Shower Styler. After you rinse, you still want to feel some product in your hair. Start with dipping you head under the shower for no more than 1 or 2 seconds. In doing so, you rinse out the "extra" ingredients but leave behind cationic resins that bind to hair and flex when dried to enhance natural texture. Try to avoid rinsing too much, as that will lead to removing too much product. PhD In-Shower Styler works best on straight or slightly wavy hair. Use enough PhD In-Shower Styler to coat your hair from root to ends. The amount used will be different for each individual due to hair density and length.
