MADE MY HAIR FALL OUT
I don't write reviews but this felt important. I read the other reviews about hair loss but decided to try this anyways because frankly almost any shampoo these days will have a review where hair loss is mentioned. I used this consistently (with no other changes to my haircare routine OR my lifestyle) for about 2 months and sure enough I started noticing a significant amount of hair loss. I have long hair and I go 2-3 days between washes so hair loss on wash day is expected but this was more than normal. I wondered if I was expecting to see more hair loss based on my knowledge of the reviews, but I returned to Ulta anyways. I had used more than 1/2 of the bottle so no refund but I had them trash it for me. I've been back to using amika for a few weeks now and today was wash day. I know for a fact I lost significantly less hair today than I did when I was using Living Proof.
Hair fallout/thinning
I have repurchased this shampoo about 3 times because it makes my hair feel incredible (on the surface) but have come to the realization after months of testing that this shampoo and conditioner was unfortunately the culprit for my hair loss. My stylist has noticed significant breakage and fallout ever since i started using this and i am now in the process of regrowing & trimming off my damaged ends to correct around 4 inches of breakage. Im sad because it makes my hair feel soft at first and smells great, but it has been bad for my hair health long term.
Horrible
I was so excited to try this going off of the good reviews i read and what a let down it was. This made my hair so weighed down and also felt greasy i paired it with the living proof conditioner . I have fine hair but alot of it and this definitely was not for my hair type.
Allergic reaction to new formula
I used this product several years ago and loved it. After a long hiatus I decided to go back to it. Within 24 hours I developed a full body rash/hives that has taken prescription medication to cure. I was telling my hair stylist about it and she said the company was bought out, changed their formula and she has had several other clients experience similar reactions. So disappointing. I have never had this type of reaction to any product before.
My Fave!
I swear by Lp PHD Shampoo (and conditioner). Since using this I have been able to go a week between washes. This always leaves my thick, wavy hair clean without any buildup. While you may not get the soapy suds like some shampoos it does thoroughly clean my hair abd rinse out 100%. Love this product!
my hair is thinning
my hair falls out like crazy since I started using this a month ago. I can now see more of my scalp. not to mention it has horrible lather, and never leaves my hair feeling clean. Biggest regret ever buying this terrible shampoo. I feel so sad, my hair was always my favorite quality.
The BEST
I've tried many shampoos over the years and I ALWAYS come back to this one. This + the LP Dry Shampoo lets me go for 3+ days in one wash and my hair is always super manageable. The OG always and forever.

Ruined my scalp
I was really excited to try this product because I heard good things about it. Use it for a few weeks and I started to have dandruff, and my scalp was really dry and itchy. I have since stop using the product, but my scalp has not recovered.
I'm never using a different shampoo again
So i saw some reviews that said this doesnt lather… theres no way. Literally 2 pumps covered my whole head and more. I always wash my hair with a cleansing shampoo first (if i use any products in my hair for styling) then use this and olaplex conditioner. My hair is softer than its ever been. I also use their hair oil after the shower as well since i have curly hair that loves to frizz almost immediately after drying. I swear to the good Lord almighty… im never switching shampoos again. This is perfect for my hair texture. Absolutely worth it. 100%.
