Good for short-term use
I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for 4 weeks now. There are definite pros and cons. First, I love the smell- it's like a citrusy woodsy smell that is somehow still feminine. Very nice, and lasts just faintly almost all day. I have very straight, medium length hair with a tendency towards getting oily. My stylist says I have fine hair but that I have a lot of it, so not thin, but not full either. I've tried a lot of volumizing shampoos and typically they just make my hair dry and full of static. This one did not at all, which was surprising. The first week, my hair felt very clean, shiny and swingy. The second week, I still noticed these things but I began to notice more volume too. Side note: I read a lot of reviews that said their hair was falling out- I noticed the exact opposite. I was losing less hair in the shower and with brushing, and this continued throughout the time I was using it. The third week I had slightly less volume and less swing, still shiny but not greasy. The fourth week, my hair got much more flat and doesn't swing as much, and to me it feels heavy and starts to look limp just a few hours after showering. I've also noticed a few tiny flakes on my scalp, which could be either product build-up or dry scalp (unlikely with my oily skin type). So I think overall, this is really a great product, but only for the short term. In the future I think I'd use it for 1.5 weeks prior to a big event, but then switch back to a trusted long-term daily shampoo and conditioner.
Worst shampoo ever.
Purchased this product as an alternative to my normal shampoo/conditioner based on all the good reviews it received. It is horrible. The consistency of it is so thick and goopy. It has a medicinal smell to it. Not sure how it does it but it leaves my hair feeling like straw but looking like I haven't washed it in months.I usually wash it every 3 days or so(I have oily hair and washing it too often tends to produce more oil) I am on medical leave from work so I haven't been using any styling products, just pulling my hair back in a clip to keep it out of my face. I feel like this product wouldn't remove and product build up if I did use any. It does not lather or clean. I purchased the conditioner with the shampoo and it also has a weird medicine type smell to it and does not perform as well as my usual brand. Wish I could have tried a sample size before wasting my money on this product.
I will definitely continue to buy and use this
I have used this product for some years, it works beautifully on my fine hair. Gives great volume, leaves hair shiny and manageable. I will continue to buy it and definitely recommend it. The small travel sizes are perfect for travel.
made my hair feel and look more dirty.
This product left such a gross film in my hair. even expensive clarifying shampoos like the ouai couldn't get it out. to remove this residue i tried many methods like using cheap conditioner to rinse it out to let some of the oil slide out (which did help if you are also encountering this problem)

so a couple weeks ago i wrote a bad review of this product and i take it back. idk if my hair just had to get used to this new product and it was having a mini freak out or adjusting to a sudden temperature and humidity change in the area. BUT at first my hair got super oily super fast and the itchy dandruff was so bad that i kept picking which didn't help with the oil either. now that dandruff has cleared up i can see a difference this makes. the volume is noticeable especially if you blow dry your hair, not so much if you air dry. my roots look shiny and healthy. my ends feel dry with the conditioner tho so i add oil after the shower. i may repurchase the shampoo and conditioner it's good but i'm not like sold and obsessed
Changed the formula now too drying
I've used this brand/version for almost 10 years and LOVED it. I noticed quite awhile back that it seemed to make my hair dry. I also have to use more ( I have a short chin level cut) to get that clean hair feel. Once I'm finished with this bottle, I'm looking for a new brand.
I wanted to like this but no
i was really excited about this product and i gave it a real shot. compared to other shampoos i've used, this one left my hair heavy and oily. day 1 is ok but by the end of the day it starts to look oily. the second day? i already needed dry shampoo and usually my hair is good and i wait to wash until day 3-4. and the itching is so bad. i try not to itch but i can't help it and then it leaves my hair flakey. i never had this problem before.

I got the sample sizes of the Living Proof Full shampoo and conditioner recently, and upon first use, had an excellent hair day, full of body and shine. I used them again the next time I washed my hair, with the same results. Whoa, I was impressed. I have fine, flat hair, and while bodifying products like thickening sprays or root boosters work, I don't love the feeling of a lot of product in my hair. This line somehow helps give extra body, shine, and softness without me having to add any styling products! I love it! As soon as my samples ran out I purchased both shampoo and conditioner. Pricey but I truly see a huge difference and feel like it's worth the splurge.
Leaves hair greasy and feeling unclean
This shampoo (and conditioner) left my hair feeling greasy and unclean immediately after use. I contacted Living Proof about this and never heard back. Unfortunately I missed the other reviews that experienced the same issue. I do not recommend.
Fully disappointed
Welp, there's a good chunk of money down the drain. This shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling oily and weighed down and my scalp dry and itchy. Except for the first time using it - which was a very good hair day indeed. After that though it was diminishing returns until I stopped and went back to my old shampoo to get the residue, or whatever, off my hair and scalp. I had used Full years ago and not had this experience. That reformulation really messed up a good thing, smh.
