Living Proof Travel Size Perfect Hair Day Shampoo for Hydration + Shine

NOT a Perfect Hair Day

After using this shampoo and matching conditioner, followed by my usual blow dry regimen and tools, my hair was MUCH FRIZZIER and more FLY-AWAY than ever. And if that wasn't bad enough….

The HORRIBLE SCENT of both the shampoo and conditioner lingered in my hair until my next shampoo day. These products smell like an incompetent or drunk chemist in the lab used a bad combination of cheap chemical fragrance ingredients that end up lingering in the user's hair — and just plain stink!

Note: You cannot flip open the cap at top of the container in the store to take a quick sniff of the scent before purchasing. This is because cap and top part of container are sealed with clear plastic wrap. So, if you're sensitive to very strong and overly chemical, unpleasant scents, you might want to pass on these products.

All in all, turned out NOT to be a perfect hair day for me. I will be returning both shampoo and conditioner for a refund. For this HIGH price point I'm thoroughly disappointed in Living Proof.

The shampoo smells amazing and lathers well. The conditioner is so creamy and thick. The combination of these two make my hair more beautiful than its ever been. It is so soft, silky, and manageable. So happy i found this. Please dont ever change the formula !!!

Disappointing

Tried this product out and thankful I only bought the travel size. While the shampoo smells great, it does not lather and doesn't work. My hair feels gunky and dried out after every wash/condition with this set.

They changed the formula.

I have used this shampoo and conditioner for years . When I bought new bottles in December 2022 I noticed a difference right away . My hair was gunkier and was also tangled up after it dried . I am extremely disappointed because I once loved this shampoo and conditioner.

Caused Hair Breakage

I noticed that with continued use my hair turned to straw and started showing lots of breakage. I don't heat treat or color..I have darker blonde, fine, straight hair. I do not recommend if your hair is similar to mine

Just meh…

I love other living proof products (like the dry shampoo, hair spray and full root lift spray) so i was excited to try this shampoo and conditioner but i am not super impressed. It feels really thin when I lather it and even using a scalp massager to help rub it in just doesn't leave my hair feeling like I used a good shampoo. Ive tried blow drying it after and the volume is minimal compared to when i use other brands. Also the smell is odd, its kind of good but also has a faint hint of chemicals. I wanted to love this because of the brand and the price but I'm having a hard time wanting to finish the bottle.

Excellent gentle shampoo

I am 66 and have fine, dry, color treated hair and this shampoo has really made my hair look and feel healthy. Very gentle cleansing and doesn't lather like sulfate shampoos but does the job. I use Living Proof full conditioner or the matching phd conditioner and get great results. I also use the restore leave in spray to detangle and the phd 5 in 1 styling cream before blow drying. After starting on Living Proof products, my hair has never been more consistently better. So glad I finally tried them.

Yes I tried this shampoo @ my daughters & really liked it so that's why I made the purchase…but every time there is a "free gift" w/ purchase I always have to ask it's there something in your computer system that could flag the checkout person this information? After I made my recent purchase on your website it was listed as a free gift w/purchase….missed out🙃

I bought the shampoo & conditioner.. let me tell you ladies I was amazed!! I dyed my hair 2 twice (6 mon apart) for now. I notice my hair ends needed some extra help. So I gave it a try my hair never felt so hydrated & alive before. The conditioner made my hair silky and soft. I'm for sure buying this again :)!!

Dry hair.

I wanted to like this product. But both the shampoo and conditioner leave my hair feeling stiff and dry. I air dry my hair, so I put in a leave in conditioner and a hair oil and that counteracts it. I did notice that my hair is less frizzy though but I don't know if that's worth how my hair feels after using the product. I have fine thin wavy hair. On one last note, I like when shampoos or conditioners have a stronger lingering smell, this one doesn't.
