Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Eye Cream 3-stars Reviews
Not for sensitive skin
I really wanted to love this and I did at first but sadly my skin is SO sensitive and this ended up giving me little bumps and a rash after about 2 weeks of use. I have used straight retinol in the past about once-twice a week and had the same issue so I think my skin just doesn't agree with the retinol part. I will say though if you don't have super sensitive skin this probably would be wonderful! My skin was very hydrated and looked great in the morning after using it (until it didn't). I could probably try to only use a few times a week but I've decided retinol just isn't for me and the rash/bumps aren't worth it!
I want to love it...
This is my first time trying this formula, but I've used other Reginerist products and really liked them. I like the results; my skin is more hydrated and feels great. But I can't figure out how I can use it as a night cream (put it on at bed time and leave it) because no matter what I try it pills. I now wash my face after work and put it on, then remove it before bed. Rating reduced because I'm not getting any benefit as a night cream, since I'm removing it a few hours later. and feel like its not working as well as it should.
Scrubbing Action
I received Olay's Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Cream Face Wash free through PINCHme in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed the soft scrubbing quality of this cleanser. My skin felt thoroughly cleaned without feeling stripped of oils. The cream cleanser has no fragrance, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or synthetic dyes, which I love about this product. I didn't notice a difference in my skin's plumpness even though it contains collagen. This is a cream cleanser, but it isn't incredibly creamy - it feels a bit stiff. Overall, this is a good product for gentle cleansing.
Sensitive skin and it broke me out
I received a free trial of Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Face Moisturizer from PinchMe. I have very sensitive acne prone skin. During the winter months, my skin tends to be dry so I was excited to try this moisturizer. And I'm always willing to try anything with Collagen. While this was a nice hydrating moisturizer, it broke me out in a few different areas on my face, so I was unable to try it long enough to see if I noticed any positive results from the collagen. . I'm so disappointed because I've been trying to find a good moisturizer for so long that doesn't break me out. If you don't have sensitive skin, this is a very nice moisturizer.
Great for \no makeup\" days..."
My grandmother barely had any fine lines on her face when she passed away in January at age 90. As a young girl I always asked why she \didn't look like a grandma\" and her answer was always \"Oil of Olay before bed...\" My mother also has amazing skin and says it is because of her choice to loyally use Olay products for 40 years and reminds us that it (using Olay) \"...was some of the only good advice beauty or otherwise (my mother) followed from Grandma\". Mistakes were made but not with her skincare. I began my review this way because the Olay brand is almost a tradition in my family but I was sent the Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Face Moisturizer from Pinchme in exchange for my honest reviews. I like to start with the packaging which is large and heavy but still elegant and functional. There is no fragrance (an awesome bonus for cluster and migraine sufferers like myself) and the moisturizer is a viscous emollient bright white cream that is applied from the jar directly to the face using your fingers. It feels cool but not cold and I was able to use it from my forehead to my decolletage with no adverse reactions. * IT IS NOT an eye cream but during an allergy attack I mistakenly put some near my under eye and it actually soothed it instead of exacerbating my situation. I am not recommending this but using the example to explain the gentle versatility of this moistuizer. I removed a star making this a 3 or average product after I started using it twice a day instead of just nightly. When I moisturize with this before applying my makeup primer and beginning that routine something happens causing what looks like pilled or even \"peeling skin\" and I have to dry brush the skin care off my face ( it ISN'T my actual skin peeling) but it is bizarre because the only new product each time was the moisturizer and I thought it had fully absorbed before beginning to apply primer. I'm going to research it further but for now it is a great product if I'm not wearing makeup after but until I fix that issue I can't use it during the day."
Left skin oily
The Olay brand as a whole, I love. There are a few products that I use daily with satisfactory results. However, the Olay regenerist collagen peptide 24 face moisturizer will not be added into my daily routine. I will not necessarily say that it is the product more so than my skin type, with the relation to my results. Nice creamy texture and is easy to apply. Absorbs within seconds with no tacky residue. No smell. With the collagen peptide 24 formula added vitamin B3 Plus Olay claims that it hydrates deep into skin's surface to visibly firm skin. I do notice a slight for me of the skin however does not diminish pores visibility. Definitely hydrates the skin maybe a little too much for mine. I used this at night and the next morning my nose area and mouth creases were very oily. For me that would be my only dislike of the product.
OLAY REGENERIST COLLAGEN PEPTIDE
I received a complementary full sized OLAY REGENERIST COLLAGEN PEPTIDE 24 CREAM FACE WASH, FRAGRANCE-FREE, 5.0 OZ from PINCHme and Olay in exchange for my honest opinion. OLAY REGENERIST COLLAGEN PEPTIDE 24 CREAM FACE WASH is creamy and white in color with little abrasive bits that I dont care for. It left my already dry skin very thirsty, and crying for hydration. It was gentile and did not cause any reaction with my sensitive skin. I was expecting those little pieces to clog my pores but they did not to my surprise. I did need a wash cloth to help wash it off, as it is thick. The tube is large enough to squeeze the product out easily.
Just ok
I first want to point out that this review is for the Olay Collagen Peptide 24 Moisturizer. Many of the reviews listed for this product seem to be for other Olay products. This is a nice feeling, fragrance free moisturizer that does a good job of providing moisture and smoothness to the skin. That said, it does not seem to play well with other products. It does ok if it is the last thing I use, but if I try to layer anything on top of it, even after allowing time for dry-down, it pills up. It's not quite rich enough for me to use as my only nighttime moisturizer, so unfortunately I will not be repurchasing once my travel size jar is empty.
Rich and hydrating, but not for oily skin
I received a free full-size sample jar of Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer (1.7 OZ) from PINCHme. I have grown up using Olay products and know that the brand is trustworthy and uses high-quality ingredients. This product, however, was not designed for someone with skin that can be as oily as mine. The cream is rich and thick- which is great for dry elbows and knees- but it was too heavy for my face. I ended up breaking out in my T-zone and looking like a greasy mess. I have since used it as a hand cream. While I have yet to notice any magical results, it does feel luxe and hydrating.
I like it, but I don't love it.
I received Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer for free from PINCHme, and it's a good product, but I don't like it as much as the inexpensive Garnier moisturizer I normally use. My skin has gotten super sensitive and itchy due to perimenopause, so I usually have to apply moisturizer multiple times every day, and I didn't have to do that with this product, but it didn't soothe the itching as well as my Garnier moisturizer. Also, if I put a little too much on, I would notice dried white flakes on my skin later. I do like the way this product feels when I apply it, and I think my skin looks a little better since I started using it, but overall I prefer my usual moisturizer. It might be a great product for people who don't have sensitive/itchy skin though.
Good moisturizer
I not only had dry skin, but I live in the desert. The combination of the two makes my skin drink moisturizer! I was super excited to try the Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer (1.7 OZ) that I received for free from PINCHme. My first impression is the cream is very thick. The cream went on white, similar to mineral sunscreens. I prefer not to rub products into my skin, and was not pleased that this took some time to fully absorb before the white cast disappeared. The next morning you could still see a slight white cast and I had to remove with soap and water because it was pilling on my skin. Overall, it was an OK moisturizer, but not something I would recommend or purchase myself.
Not For Me
Olay's Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer unfortunately didn't work for me. This moisturizer did not absorb into my skin at all and just "sat on top" of it. It left my face feeling greasy due to this and heavy. Perhaps it is just my skin type but I was disappointed it didn't work out. Perhaps for someone with dryer skin than mine or more mature skin it would work better. I like the product benefits and love other Olay products, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. I received this from PinchMe in exchange for my honest review.
Not What I Had Hoped For
I was hoping this might be a less expensive alternative to a prescription compounded peptide cream I was using. Sorry to say it was not for me. I don't care for the sticky feeling it leaves on my face all day—I guess on the positive side I'd say it does last all day. This is the third time that I have tried various Olay skin moisturizers and after about a month of use I start to break out in places I haven't in years. (I'm 64.). Think I'll be going back to my compounded cream and hand this off to my hubby. Or use it on my legs or something. It's not awful—just not what I was hoping for.
Not bad, but not good either
I bought this after I could not find the Olay Total Effects Cleansing Whip Polishing Creme Cleanser anywhere. I was hoping this would be a comparable replacement, but it is definitely not as creamy as the other cleanser. This is a much thicker consistency and I feel like I have to use more product to clean my face. With the Total Effects cleansing whip, I was able to use a small amount on a facial spin brush and clean my face well. With this, I have to apply the cleanser with my fingers and I don't feel like my face is getting clean enough, even with the slightly gritty texture of this cleanser. So far I haven't seen any difference in my skin after a week of using this, maybe it's too soon to see any benefits? I will keep using this until it's gone, but will be looking for another cleanser closer to the Total Effects cleansing whip I prefer.
Not bad, but not for me..
Olay's Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer felt great upon applying after a shower. Hydrating upon applying, and easily absorbed. I can understand the benefits this cream holds, however, it was just not for me. I'm still experimenting with it, but I feel through-out the day & night my skin is not hydrated enough. It starts producing more oil, which I already have in the t zone area-combo skin type. I think this cream will be quite fitting for other folks.. I appreciate the opportunity to try, and will continue to try this cream, until used up. Thank you Pinchme and Olay.
Hydrating!
Olay regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer goes on very nice and it feels amazing as you put it on. I had a good experience with it at first and it was very hydrating but then one of the mornings when I applied it my face burned a little as I was putting it on and when I looked in the mirror my face was bright red so I believe I was having an allergic reaction. I don't know if maybe it was because of a different product I had used beforehand since this didn't happen in my prior uses. But overall this product does what it says it does.
Intense eye cream
I was able to try this Olay Regenerist Collagen Peptide 24 eye cream as a free sample for my honest review. I really loved how this Olay eye cream had absolutely zero fragrance. It is so smooth and applies really easily. This little container will last an incredibly long time. I don't think I will end up using this daily, maybe just on a weekly basis. It was so intense that I felt some discomfort on my orbital bones (below where I had applied the cream). I did notice a lifting and less wrinkles and less puffy/dark circles, all that they promised after one use. But I didn't enjoy the intense feeling under my eyes. I did not re apply last night, and this morning that intense feeling is completely gone. So maybe I'm more sensitive than I thought, or the cream is just really intense.
First impressions
I tried the Olay Regenerist Retinol Max NIght Face Moisturizer for about a month. At first I was worried it was going to be too greasy and heavy, but with a little persistance, it absorbed better than I thought it would. After massaging it in to my skin at bedtime, it felt really heavy at first and then it was like my skin drank all of it and it wasn't heavy and greasy anymore. It was a weird sensation. It was a little sticky after that, but then it settled down and just right. There was no residue when I work up in the morning. To be honest, I don't feel like it did much for my skin. I didn't notice any improvrments or firmness or any of that. Maybe I need to use it longer. It didn't break me out. It just didn't do anything noticeable. Maybe it would be better for someone with really dry skin. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I'll stick with the pink Oil of Olay, which I love!
Not happy about feel, but do notice small change
I received a full sized sample of Regenerist Retinol 24 MAX Night Face Moisturizer in my free sample box from PinchMe. I was excited to try my first sample of retinol. I'm in my early thirties and the thought of wrinkles and fine lines has been a concern to me. I have yet to have many wrinkles, but I would like to lessen the appearance when they do show up. I was hoping the cream would have a fragrance, but it is fragrance free from what I could discern. After applying the moisturizer at bedtime, my fingers were left feeling oily. I did not like the sensation of oiliness that was left on my fingers as well as how it felt when I woke up the next morning. I didn't get to use it for an extended amount of time as the sample arrived very late for this review, but from what I used for 2 weeks I felt a small improvement in smoothness. I also felt my skin was more sensitive that I was used to, most likely due to the added retinol ingredient. I will continue to use what's left and perhaps purchase at the store.
Decent product, but concerns about product amount
This cream is not fragrant and would be a great option for someone not interested in a fragrant product. I didn't have any issues with my skin reacting to the retinol. This appears to be an average product for someone wanting to try a cream with retinol for the first time. What I was disappointed with and confused about was the size of the packaging and the virtually empty container I received. Please see my photos for what it looked like upon opening. I'm not sure if I ended up with a bad batch or if Olay is having issues with their packaging/filling.
