Not for me
I tried the Olay Regenerist Shea Butter Face Moisturizer for several weeks in order to give it a fair review. I expected to like it because I use other Olay products but I did not like this particular product because the cream is too thick & heavy for me. My face did not feel smooth from it as it does with my regular Olay moisturizer. I prefer a lighter cream/lotion so I will continue to use my regular Olay moisturizer.
Decent Moisturizer
I received this free product from PINCHme. When I first put on the Olay regenerist shea butter + peptide 24 face moisturizer it felt creamy but not heavy. It was a bit similar to a Clinique moisturizer I use so I was excited. As I kept using it for over a month I didn't feel like it was helping my skin. Just felt like a lotion I could use on my body. I occasionally use the moisturizer today but I don't think it'll be a go-to-moisturizer for myself.
Works Fine
It's not bad. Does soak in pretty easily and isn't super sticky. I just don't agree with the fact that it says it has 24 hour moisture and suggests that you put it on twice a day. I would say it probably keeps my dry skin soft for a couple of hours, but definitely not even close to the 12 hour mark, let alone 24 hours. It was a hefty sized sample though and I appreciate that.
Not bad
I was pretty excited for this Olay Regenerist Shea butter +Peptide 24 face moisturizer, because I have pretty chronically dry skin. Still a great texture - not heavy, light yet thick enough to feel luxurious. This could have worked very well, but not for me. I can't wear this with other products as it pills up on my face. Alone, it absorbs in my skin okay enough.
Moisturizes and doesn't smell but...
I have super dry skin and live in the NE part of the US so I need products with plenty of moisture. Initially, when I first rubbed it in my hands, it felt more watery than creamy but I have found that Olay Regenerist Shea Butter + Peptide 24 Face Moisturizer does not leave a filmy, oily residue. It's good for peolple who have combination or sorta dry skin but not for people with really dry skin. The one huge plus is there is no smell to this product at all and it left my face soft.
Doesn’t Absorb

I wouldn’t say that this moisturizer smells like nothing, it has a little bit of a smell but nothing bad. I loved the way this moisturizer felt while putting it on, but shortly after is I rubbed my face little flakes of dried product would form. No matter how little product I used it still left a film on the face. If you don’t plan to use this under makeup or ever touch your face then this is great!
