Olay Ultimate Eye Cream for Dark Circles, Wrinkles and Puffiness 1-star Reviews

Really wanted this to work

I have been looking for a good product for my dark circles and have tried many! My mom barely had wrinkles and she vowed by Olay so I have put it in my daily and love my day and night routine! I have used this for 2 mornings and a small bit the third because it was burning a bit so I stopped! The next morning I woke with I don't know what! Some kind of reaction and also peeling. I am so disgusted because it seemed to be working and I spent a pretty penny on it and now can't even use it! I didn't want it ti be the reason but I don't understand I have never had any kind of issue with Olay at all

Two months of use and no changes at all around my eyes

I've used the Olay Ultimate Eye Cream consistently for two months now and it doesn't seem to do anything other than act as a mild tinted concealer. I've used cheaper eye creams in the past with some improvement in lines and circles, so I've been greatly disappointed that this pricey Olay product doesn't produce any benefit at all. Definitely will not buy it again.

Red, slight sting, flaking and wrinkled

Looking for some brightening and wrinkle minimizing I bought this product. I've tried it for over a week. After one day the skin started flaking which I thought might be part of the process but after 10 days my eyes are red and dry and wrinkled and my eye lids started to sting when I applied it tonight. A shame for the cost!!

Not for sensitive eyes!

Third time I've used this and my eyes are swollen beyond belief. I had no reaction the first time I used it and the second time I thought I was simply having an eczema flare up, but this product has definitely given me a painful allergic reaction exactly where I applied the product. Would not recommend!

Irritated my skin

I tend to gravitate towards unscented products that work with my sensative, combination skin. I currently use olay complete loition in the morning and regerist at night. I tried this for 2 days and ended up with a red, irrited, itchy area under my

left eye. It cleared up after a day of not using the product.

Nooope!

Excited until the product dried down... then i noticed it started to settle and crack in the lines and looked drying in the corners of my lower lids.... not what i want in an eye cream. There's no moisture. I'm only 36 and my eyes are not even close to being bad... just wanted to start on tackling problems now.

The worst eye cream I have ever used

I am surprised that this bad product is coming from Olay, a company I associate with good skin products. This cream is the worst eye cream I have ever used-- it's thick with an orangish tint that just goes on sloppily on the eye area and leaves the entire area looking dull and matte while settling on lines and wrinkles. This product is terrible and I wish I hadn't spent money on it. Olay, what were you thinking putting this on the market??!!! I'm very disappointed. The worst!

Avoid

First review I've every written- just felt like I had to. Used a few times several months apart with same effect....red, swollen and irritated eyes with huge red bags. Looked like I was punched in the face. Goes on very dry and matte and color settles into wrinkles. Definately NOT for sensitive or mature skin. Only gave 1 star because no stars was not an option

Not so great

I purchased this because of my huge bags and dark circles under my eyes it hasn't done anything to improve these problems but worst of all it has a very pink tint to it, even using a small amount and making sure to rub it in good to fully absorb it leaves pink settled into the small wrinkles and across the eye lids, very very disappointed and extremely unhappy with this, I am on a fixed income and really splurged to purchase this, now I am stuck with having an eye cream that I can't use, there just aren't any words to use to tell you how upset I am with wasting money on a useless product!

Always read ingredient list first!

I wanted for this product to help decrease the puffiness under my eyes. I first read the ingredient list (the ingredients the product doesn't boast about). I was very disappointed to see 5 alcohols and 3 parabens among the list! These ingredients are well-known to cause drying and irritation, and parabens can often cause allergic reactions and rashes. Having read most of the posted reviews, it would seem that many of the customers who tried this product experienced results that aggravated, if not worsened, their particular beauty concern. I opted not to purchase this product and would encourage other potential customers to consider doing likewise.

NOT for all skin tones

I have fair skin, and this product does not work with my skin tone. Even under makeup I look like I have applied orange paint under my eyes. I do not dress as a clown, so I do not need to look like one. I stocked up on another eye formula when I learned it was being discontinued, and when that supply ran out I tried this eye cream. It was a total waste of money.

Of the eight Olay products I used, only one is now available. I understand updating and adding to a product line, but I'm not buying three products to do the job of one. That is far too much product to apply. Not only would that be unhealthy, but the expectation for customers to spend three times the money is ridiculous. I know as a single individual I am insignificant in the grand scheme, but I an no longer an Olay loyalist. I am switching to a competitor.

Disappointed

I've used another product for years and decided to try Olay. I purchased it yesterday used it last night and this am, won't be using it again. Skin started burning immediately after 1st application washed it off right away tried again this am once again same effect. So disappointed several of my friends use Olay products with great results. Wish I wouldn't have purchased it so far from home I would surely return it.

Now im freaking out!!

I posted a review 2 days ago, my eye is going from bad to worse ..more swollen, irritated and now i have something that it looks like a lil ball inside my under eye lid. it hurts so bad and my eye is watery. I need to see a Doctor thanks to this cream. I was perfectly fine until i used this eye cream. :( I had to miss work..i work with customers and is embarrassing and so irritating :( i am so upset i tried this product and in pain !!

What even is it?

This poor eye cream has an identity crisis. Is it make-up or skincare? The peach color is designed to cancel out the darkness under the eyes but that's not a consideration for me when I am going to bed and when I wear it in the daytime, it just interferes with my actual color corrector/concealer. If it sees itself as skincare, it's pretty awful considering how it dries the delicate area out. Olay, you really missed the mark with this one.

Disappointed

I bought this last month and had been using the Retinol 24 line. I use Clinique eye cream but it's price tag is even pricier, so I tried this eye cream. I am sorry I wasted my reward money on this. It is drying and the concealer cakes around my eyes and doesn't absorb. I won't buy again and wasted $$

The WORST Cream I've ever used!

This cream caused me little hard white dots around my eyes called milia. I had never had milia before until I used this cream. When I stopped using it, I stopped getting any new milia bumps. Such a waste of money!! If I had the package I would return it. I think it should be recalled! I look terrible!!

Sticky/ makes more wrinkles

I have been using this eye cream for at least 3 months and I'm so disappointed. As soon as you put it on it starts drying before you can spread it. Then you keep adding more to try and get it spread but it just crinkles your skin. I kept thinking

it was something I was doing wrong or maybe the moisturizer underneath was doing that but without regenerist it drys,wrinkles skin worse, and blotches color. Disappointed big time.

NOT Good!!

I was disappointed with this eye cream I have used Olay skincare since I was 18 and now I'm 53. This cream isn't moisturizing at all and my skin around my eyes has become drier after trying to use it for 3 weeks. It was a total waste of money and I didn't keep the packing box or I would have sent it back. I did go out and buy another Brightening Eye Cream because this product was so drying.

Irritated my skin

I purchased this product after reading through the reviews and many were positive. I washed my face and let it dry for a bit as I do before putting any product on. Once I applied under my eyes not more than 20 seconds later it had a slight burning sensation so I immediately rinsed it off. That didn't work too well so I rewarded my face. I don't usually have sensitive skin as mine is pretty normal but something in this my skin didn't like.

First time trying and will be my last.

I have very dark circles around my eyes ever since the lack of sleep with having a child. I used concealer but I wanted to try something where my circles would actually go away. I looked into an eye cream and decided to try out Olay because my mom and even husband used the brand (not this specific product though). I tried it the first night and the next morning I notice a slight peeling of my skin where I applied it. I thought maybe it's working and its getting rid of the dead skin. I applied it the next night and had a burning and stinging sensation. I washed it off and haven't used it since. It's been a week and every time I wash my face or put anything on it it burns because the eye cream burned a layer of my skin. It feels like a sun burn around my eyes and now it looks like I have wrinkles when I didn't before. I may be allergic to something in it. If you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend. You should consult a dermatologist if you do.
