OUAI Heat Protection Spray

This product delivers....

I blow dry my hair, and then flat iron it - or use one of those drying brushes. Because of my natural curl and wave, my hair tends to be frizzy. After trying at least 8 or 9 different products, I think I have found THE ONE. I spray it on dry sections before running the flat iron over it. My hair is shiny and smooth with all of the "free hair" movement that I favor. I do not like using a ton of products that take away the soft, natural feel of my hair. This spray smells wonderful, and it is

not greasy, oily or heavy. I would highly recommend if you favor the smooth, flat shiny end result.

Lightweight and protects well

My hair is dry, very curly/wavy, and frizzy. I needed a light product to protect my hair from heat and minimize frizz; this product does both. It's interesting to read the comments regarding the smell because it's one of the things I love about it!

Perfect addition

I can't believe I waited so long to add this to my routine! Not only does it protect my hair from any heat tools I use but it makes my style last 3x longer.

Ineffective caused more damage

Sadly, this was a huge flop for me. Smells bad, left hair dry and sticky. Did not feel any heat protectant properties.

Wanted to like it

I love this brands hair products so when I got this I had really high hopes for it and it's just decent. The smell though is something I can't stand

I will not buy this again

This smells awful! I don't recommend this product if you are looking for a heat protectant, on top of the terrible smell it left me hair feeling dry and crunchy,

Oily and tangled

I decided to blow out my hair and use this product as a heat protectant and it's garbage. I want a smooth shiny blow out. My blowout was stiff and hard and when I would try to brush it out to smooth it out, it was tangled. The formula is not good.

The smell is strong

I don't know what is is about companies making their heat protectants have such strong perfume smells. This was a random purchase because I have been through many protectants, but I could not get over the smell and had to walk away every time I sprayed it. Many people commented on the fact that the smell was so strong on my hair even hours after using it. Even so, it did a decent job, I have thick slightly curly brown hair. But will not repurchase.

Good, but I wish the scent was different

It works great, nice spray, leaves my hair soft and shiny, but I hate the scent. It smells like like flowers and a toilet… and it's strong. If they had a better scent this would be a holy grail for me.

It's ok….

My go to heat protection spray is usually from dry bar but I wanted to try something different. I purchased the Ouai heat protection spray. It works well and even adds a little shine. However I do not like the smell. With that being said I do not have any sensitivity to smell and am usually pretty tolerable but the smell has to much perfume for me. I guess I will just go back to my usual after I finish the bottle
