silver highlight was a ripoff
i bought this about a month ago and the palette smelled nice and everything, the bronzer was amazing, everything went great UP UNTIL! i went to use the silver highlight because pearl highlight is my absolute fave, IT WAS GOLD UNDERNEATH. like someone dusted the top with silver highlight but underneath was absolute gold. i dug some out because i thought i was tripping, but no it was gold. it wasnt a pretty gold either. it looked like the gold highlight from the palette mixed with setting powder. everything absolutely had me on my knees but the silver highlight? i was really expecting it but it was such a ripoff. overall, nice smell i mean i LOVE the smell of this palette, the colors with the bronzer and blush was top notch but the silver just broke my heart.
I love PP products in general- BUT....
I am on the lighter side of Medium skin toned and I am finding it harder to find products that are suited for actual medium toned skin. I loved this glowy palette but my PP products always take a back seat because for someone with my skin tone theres no real color payoff. You can hardly see this stuff on your face unless you are very very light. Not fair. I started using this company's products when I was a teenager and not allowed to wear makeup. Maybe that's who this is geared to.
Bummed
I was super excited to try this pallette however the fragrance has caused major irritation to my skin. It caused an awful breakout of splotchy red itchy patches that were very itchy and inflamed. I hadn't changed anything else in my skin care routine, this was the only new item so it must be the fragrance or another ingredient. Really bummed
The smell is horrible
I can't get passed the horrible scent they've applied to this makeup. It is such a shame as I really like all the colors and all the different applications of makeup provided. The bronzers, highlighters and blush are all beautiful and look really nice on your face. The only think that ruins it is the horrible tacky scent they chose to finish the makeup off with. At first when I opened the package I said, okay maybe the scent isn't too bad; but once it was applied to my face... holy heck I wanted to immediately take it off. The smell was soooo strong, probably because it's all around my nostrils. I thought, maybe the scent will die down... nope!! It just lingered on my face for hours. Such a shame as the makeup is really pretty. Please change the scent or make it without any scent and people would love this product. Due to the fact the scent is horrible and overpowering I am going to not recommend this until they fix it.
Deceiving
Like the other reviews said, the silver highlight is really a dark dull gold underneath. (darker than the gold on the bottom, and doesn't really have a sheen). Which sucks, because i got it for the silver. Face palette usually try to cater to more skin tones, which I get, but the other colors would only work for fair-medium skin. So I wouldn't think anyone who could wear the other shades, would be able to make that shade work for them. Which in turn, not having a lighter shade to mix the bottom gold with probably keeps that from working for a lot of people as well. PF is terrible at shade range anyways, so I wish they just made palettes for different skin tones..
Meh
Not my favorite. This pallete is definately not made for paler folk in mind. The bronzers apply good just too dark. The bottom row highlighter is fine but the top that appears silver but it is actually another gold highlighter. The top is a silver spray on top and that's a cheap trick. The face powder is fine but the blush is non existent on my skin.
