White cast

I'm on the medium to tan skin tone range and this was a definite no for me. I purchased this in translucent but was disappointed that as soon as I applied there was a white cast. As others have mentioned the texture is smooth and finely milled and therefore seems like it will crack or break in the pan easily.

I normally love all

I normally love all my Physician's Formula compacts, the coverage is normally on point. This powder, however, left my face looking so cakey! It does not pair well with my sunscreen, nor is it touch up friendly. I have since switched this up with their Illuminating Powder, and am loving it. Gives a flawless finish to my look.

Could be so much better with a few tweaks!

I really wanted to love this since I have been looking for a long time for a powder with good SPF to reapply during the day. My skin is oily, acne-prone and sensitive, so I'm picky about ingredients and I was happy to find a compact that was mineral-based and talc-free. But the bad packaging really turns an excellent product into one that's just OK. Firstly, the clasp on mine broke almost instantly, meaning it won't stay closed. The brush it comes with is tiny, cheap, and difficult to use. So much powder gets wasted before you can even get any on your face. I threw the brush out and use a regular puff now. Lastly, the "translucent" shade is misleading. It works OK with some blending for me, but it would be way too dark for anyone who is very fair, and other light skin tones may find this a little on the orange side. I'll likely repurchase since there aren't a lot of alternatives, but I think this could be a truly amazing product with just a couple of improvements!

I bought this thinking

I bought this thinking it would be a good product to reapply SPF throughout the day. I don't think it works for that purpose. I put it on over a mineral sunscreen and it looks really unfortunate. I can't use this for reapplication and will probably go back to a different, more expensive product.

The packaging is pretty good but it can get messy. I like that it comes with a mirror under the product. However, the powder breaks up very easily, especially if you use the provided brush. There are holes on the bottom of the compact so I don't want to put this in my purse. I would not use the brush this comes with, it's very stiff.

I bought this to touch...

I bought this to touch up my makeup throughout the day due to the additional SPF, but it's really not translucent. I have fair skin, and the color of this powder is too dark for my skin tone. It otherwise didn't irritate my skin or make me break out. I might like it more if it came in lighter colors or was actually transparent, but it currently doesn't work well for me as-is.

Not for mature skin

I bought this in translucent because I wanted a sheer powder with an spf and canmot find a typical white HD powder with sunscreen built in. For reference I am a light-med with normal skin and few wrinkles or enlarged pores. The color left an odd taupey cast on my skin and accentuated every flaw regardless of different application methods...so its a no for me. Might be good for a younger person.

I bought this as a...

I bought this as a finishing powder to try to refresh my SPF throughout the day. It's more like a mineral foundation. It's very heavy and feels cakey on the face. It's not very good at controlling oil either. I have combination skin and I get very greasy while using this powder. I also dislike that there are not enough color options to really match either. I have better luck with K Beauty SPF powders.

I wish I could make...

I wish I could make this 3.5 because it's almost a r. I used pressed powders because loose powder seem to take off all my foundations for some reason. I like it to dim out my bronzer and lightly dust my face as my skin is dry. I would recommend because I don't have great skin, but I may try something else when this is out. Love their bronzer and availability/price.

The [product...

The [product:physicians-formula-mineral-wear-talc-free-mineral-airbrushing-pressed-powder-spf-30] is compact and easy to travel with. It's ok, not my most favorite to use as a setting powder, I'll admit. The ingredient list is less concerning than many products I've tried, which is why I keep trying to love this powder. I most likely won't repurchase it.

used to be my favorite

This has always been my go to. Liquid foundations don't really work for me and this has always worked beautifully. I am definitely getting older, but now I feel like this powder accentuates it more. I am 31 and with this powder I look every bit of it and some. I have 5 kids so needless to say I have some wrinkling in my face, lol. But my face looks younger without the make up on than it does with the make up. It accentuates my lines so dramatically now that I can't wear it and feel comfortable with my appearance. It also feels different on my face. More like a mask. Not sure what changed, but I really hope that they see the reviews and change it back. Also, I don't know if it has always looked like this and I'm just now noticing or if the coloring has changed as well, but I feel that it makes me look more Orange. I felt like it looked way more natural throughout the years than it does now. I hate having to go find new make up products and go through the process of seeing what works for my skin and what doesn't. I'd rather just have the thing that has worked for me continue to work for me. You can't beat the price point, especially when it's buy 1 get 1 for 50% off. But the price point isn't worth it if it doesn't work. You might as well go for a more high end make up. Please change it back.

NOT translucent DUST everywhere

I was looking for a translucent powder with SPF for touching up my make up during the middle of the day. The shade "translucent" is actually tinted peach. On my very fair skin it shows up. Absolutely not translucent for my skin tone making this useless for me. And it fluffs EVERYWHERE half the powder you end up breathing in before it ever hits your face

Not my favorite. I...

Not my favorite. I mainly use powder so my sunscreen doesn't look greasy and was hoping that this would be my touch up for spf. Unfortunately this sits heavy on my skin and it's not as finely milled as I want it to be. I like that there's no scent to it and that there's a mirror in the compact. It can be bulky to some but I don't mind. I wouldn't repurchase this but will continue to use it in case I forget to wear sunscreen.

A bit orangy looking on face.

I purchased the color beige thinking that I would get that color but when I applied it it looked very orangy on my skin.it did not look natural at all.it does cover imperfections quite well and is light and good for all skin types.if it wasn't for the unnatural color this would be probably a holy Grail powder for me.if you can make this color work for your skin then it's worth a try.defitenitly not for darker complexions though.

Need more shades!

This is my holy grail powder. I used it as my primary foundation for years. This winter I have become very pale and cannot wear this product anymore due to the shade range. Finding new products has been very costly and as much as I've enjoyed it I wish I could just use my favorite product. Make more shades! Sooo many people CANNOT use this! I would only recommend this to people with more tanned and/or olive type skin. If you're pale this is not

For you, even the translucent is too dark!

Not for me.

This is not the product for me. I was looking for something to be applied with a sponge and with SPF; but it comes with a stiff brush and it picks up a lot of product. I have very very sensitive skin on my face. My skin felt tight and angry all day. So, I'm allergic to it. Period. Not that the product is bad.

Good Coverage but Settles

I like this brand of make up. However, this powder is good but not the best. And I tend to go for one that is the best for everything for me. I don't like to have to sacrifice. Especially with all that's out there. This powder brought out my fine lines and I'm only 36 years old. I bought Tarte finishing powder instead and love it! This is also my third try for this powder of physicians formula BTW, I kept trying and wanting to like it and having to return it. Coverage is good though.

Okay- avg

It does given an air brushed look, cons- makes pores visible. Like the mineral SPF 30 about it. Again, not having this available in different shades is the primary drawback of Physician Formula products. I am fair to light with gold tones, so I went for the lightest shade. They should have this available in more shades

Great ingredients, horrible color selection

I've been researching spfs like a mad woman trying to find the best options for my sensitive, reactive skin. This has a good level of all physical/mineral spfs which is great, plus talc-free and a great price point, wow! I was really impressed. It also seemed to handle well on my skin, not cause breakouts, and it's an easy was to reapply spf throughout the day. Kept my VERY oily skin matte, more so than pretty much any powder I've tried, even prestige brands. Unfortunately it comes in only three shades, clearly meant for light skin. I am mixed, like lighter than Halle Berry and bought this in "translucent". Sadly, it leaves a white cast on my skin and while I'd love to wear it alone, I have to layer it with other powders to hide the whiteness. So disappointing and antiquated. Also, the brush that comes with it is pretty bad but kind of to be expected for the price. I replaced it with a Nars sponge and liked how it applied. I probably won't repurchase due entirely to the fact that there is no suitable color for me.

Really nice!

Great product but poor packing, hinge broke on lid and thus powder since they were connected, same happened to my talc free bronzer. Like the design but almost useless once it came apart. Perfect color in creamy natural. Causes a bit of clogged pores which is disappointing since I bought this specifically so it wouldn't but doesn't as bad as the CC and tinted moisturizers. Nice replacement for Bare Mineral and very affordable. Will continue to use but as usual powder can hard if any flaky dry skin patches or raised acne bumps.. Does have a really nice coverage and glow nonetheless

thick and cakey

I love the ingredients and the sun protection it provides. However, no matter how I try to apply it, it always ends up looking cakey and thick on my skin, even if I barely put any on, with or without primer or tinted moisturiser (I don't use liquid foundation). The color didn't quite match my skin either, perhaps that's part of the problem.
