Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Blush 1-star Reviews
Allergic reaction
I love this bronzer and the color „bronzer" is literally the perfect bronzer shade for me. I have never found a bronzer this perfect in application, color and look on the skin.
BUT: as soon as I started using this bronzer, I started getting small bumps, blackheads and clogged pores in the places I applied the bronzer. As soon as I stopped using the bronzer, all the breakouts disappeared.
Physicians Formula, PLEASE do a version of this bronzer without fragrance, so I can try, if the fragrance is the problem or the talc
This is a huge fail!
I just purchased this mascara yesterday. I was so excited to try this product because I love this brand. The packaging is on point and the color is fantastic, but those are the only good things I can say about this mascara. I opened it up this morning and tried using it but there are so many clumps inside. I tried wiping the clumps off the wand, but my lashes still clumped together horribly. I tried several times reinserting the want and then wiping off the clumps in hopes that there were only a few and I would still be able to use it, but no. Also the wand does not do well at all for separating the lashes.. Overall it is a huge disappointment and I am very upset that I spent good money on such a bad product. I expect better from this brand.
Clumpy awful formula
I purchased this product 3 days ago and it is already unusable. I have never used a worse mascara I can't believe it. I stand by physicians formula on so many other products and this was such a failure. It came out clumpy and unspreadable from the first use. The brush does a horrible job of trying to separate the lashes and apply the formula. I have to throw it out now because all of the product is stuck to the wand and I can't even disperse it from one big clump. I was so excited when I bought it because the outside packaging was so nice. That was the one and only good thing.
Not what I expected
I got this initially to try it after my favorite mascaras were discontinued. The first thing that hit me upon opening it was the strong scent. It went on smoothly, though a tad clumpy, but as I fanned it out, it kept clumping up and the scent kept burning my eyes. I decided to ignore that and just finish up my make up and go about the rest of my day. Bad idea. Throughout the day my eyes kept burning, this mascara kept flaking off until I had raccoon eyes, and weighed down my lashes so bad! I finally had to take it off as best as possible while at work because my eyes kept burning from it. I've tried it a few times after and each time it gave the same results. Ultimately it was a fail and has now been tossed. Lesson learned. Never use a mascara that has scent because it'll most likely irritate my eyes.
Waterproof eyeliner
Tried this for the first time today . Pros : its dark and stays on the entire day . Cons: I don't like the brush tip, the Liquid made my eyelashes stick together. The biggest con of all is I used a make up wipe for waterproof makeup and it was very difficult to get the eyeliner off. Some of my eyelashes came out from rubbing them with the wipe where my lashes were clumped. I doubt I will use this again for the simple fact that I don't want to lose all my end lashes and I shouldn't have to scrub so hard to remove the liner that my skin is red where the liner was ..
There are better lash hair mascara
I don't have sensitive eyes or skin, I don't really ever have to think about what eye products I use, but this makes my eyes burn. Not anything crazy, more like if you have a pollen allergy and you can feel it in your eyes. When you pull the wand out for use there is a huge glop of product at the tip of the wand, like a pea size of toothpaste. It doesn't hold a curl and my lashes didn't look any longer than usual... it doesn't clump but it transfers and feels like it never really dries down. The new elf mascara is a better mascara than this, and that one isn't that great wither.
Face Butter
This was AWFUL. I'm honestly not sure who is actually going to enjoy this. The term "butter" is definitely accurate for this because it's like face butter. The formula itself melts into an oily substance that really does nothing for blurring or hydrating and instead it makes my skincare pill and makeup doesn't apply over it well at all. It therefore doesn't help with longevity whatsoever and in fact it makes my makeup break up very quickly. This is honestly one of the worst primers that I've used in some time and I absolutely can't recommend it.
Pills up with any skin care or sunscreen underneath
I can't make this work for me any which way, as it pills up on contact with any skin care or sunscreen underneath, even when I wait 2 hours between applying those and applying this. It's a deal breaker because I always always wear sunscreen. This texture is not like other putty primers I've tried. It seems to melt into an oil as soon as it warms to the skin, which sounds like it would be good - but I can't make it work with the rest of my routine. It is heavily fragranced with the usual coconut scent that PF is known for.
Completely Orange, Nothing Like the photos
What a disappointment! I purchased this online and ripped the box open as fast as I could because I couldn't wait for this bronzer! What a complete and total disappointment when I pulled the Matte Monoi out. It is pure orange, like a brick. The photo on this site and others make it look like this perfect "not too warm, not too cool" stunning bronzer, and it couldn't be further from reality. I can't imagine what PF was thinking when they released this shade, but I would give it no stars if I could. Definitely will be returning, and wish I could get my $6 back for the shipping. What a waste.
I purchased the deep...
I purchased the deep bronzer color. I was very disappointed. This smells like a cheap beachy fragrance. The smell is strong. I do not like the idea of rubbing this item full of fragrance all over my face since I have sensitive skin. Also I take makeup pics often. This item does not blend evenly. I literally can see the areas where it caught on weird and looks patchy in pics. The applicator it comes with also makes no sense. They should save they money and skip that. You can't apply bronzer with that. If you have eczema, psoriasis, sensitive skin then skip this item. I do not recommend this item. So much better bronzers on the market that does not smell.
Horrible Blush
This blush is the worst. The color looks super cute in the packaging, but the actual payoff is complete garbage. It has virtually no pigment at all. The blush is extremely patchy when you put it on and the color doesn't show up at all. I was surprised because my skin is super fair. It didn't even show up as a flush of color. I tried to build it up, but it was just a shiny mess on my cheeks. Wouldn't recommend this blush to anyone. If I could give it no stars, I would. It's that bad. Tried it because the Butter Bronzer is my absolute favorite ever, but the blush sucks major butt. Buy it if you hate pigment and enjoy wasting your money.
Causing acnes
I started getting acnes and did not know the reason. I tried a lot of things, nothing was helpful. As the acnes got worse, I found that they were mostly at the areas where I applied my bronzer. This had been the only bronzer that I was using as I loved it (apart from the smell). I stopped using it, and my skin slowly got better, but left with subtle scars. Liked how this bronzer applys and the shade is prefect. It was a shame that it causes me breakouts. If there's anyone else unlucky like me, wish you find out earlier that the cause of your breakout could be this bronzer, and don't get acne scars!!!
Overhyped and caused breakouts
IM CONVINCED this is the product that gave me little tiny flesh toned bumps all over my cheeks. I used to wear nearly full makeup everyday (liquid foundation) and this over top and didn't notice the breakouts. When I began cutting out my foundation out of my routine and only spot concealing, while added this to my bare cheeks (with primer), I noticed A TON of breakouts. This is product is overhyped, smells WAY too strong of sunscreen/coconut, and doesn't perform that well tbh. Go for the bronze booster it's WAY better (blend-ability and time)
Color Selection!
This product makes me so mad. I want to use this product because I love the formula, the smell, and literally every beauty-blogger raves about this product. However, I can't because the color selection is horrible for women of color. Even with the two new colors they don't have a wide shade range, and it sucks. I'm not even that dark, but I can't use it because the color selection they have is literally my skin tone. I hate that brands exclude women of color while they're making their products, because we want to use these products that paler women can use. They always include the lighter shades for those women but never really think about the darker shades that people in the world need. Do better Physician's Formula so I can buy this amazing product!
"Natural Glow" Review
I am SO disappointed in this "blush". I am fair and this doesn't show color on me. It's basically a subtle shimmery highlight. When I tried to add more to see even a little color, it caked up and showed texture like nobody's business.
I usually just suck it up and toss products that I don't like instead of returning something that I've used, but this is going back. I can't believe PF sells this as a blush.
All of that being said, I have this blush in the other shade and enjoy it. I just think "Natural Glow" is AWFUL.
Way too light
After seeing this product being reviewed on YouTube by well known beauty icon & her raving about the coconut sent I gave in & got it.I got the darkest of the 2 shades. Im medium/olive skin tone. Although it smelled good..Id compare it to a suntan lotion..not like bodyshop sent, more artificial.
The pigment was basically non existent. Honestly it swatched the same as toofaced milk chocolate bronzer, their lightest color I use in winter as a wash of color on my most basic running to grocery store days.
So bummed I had to return it. I actually thought about keeping it just to have the sent..just really if I'm not going to use it,it's just a waste. This might work for you if you have very light skin tone.
