Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Blush 4-stars Reviews
Smooth application nice shimmer
I went ahead and added this after placing my liquid foundation on and setting it with powder. It gave a nice shimmer to my cheek bones and really made my makeup look stand out. Even used a bit as eyeshadow on top my eyelids and it was subtle. I don't really go for a glam look, so it was nice to add to my natural everyday makeup routine. I suggest adding it with a blush brush or even a beauty blender to blend it out. It comes in a nice compact container which I just put in my purse or makeup bag for a little touch up during the day.
Colors are a hit. Smell is a flop.
I was really excited for this set. The colors are great. I love that there are two shimmery ones and two matte in a range of 4 tones for the set. They applied nicely too. But unfortunately, this set is not something I can use because it is so strongly scented. It smells like sunscreen, or Shea butter. Kind of tropical. Not off putting on it's own, but very strong for makeup. I'm scent sensitive, and get migraines easily. I couldn't tolerate it on my forearm for more than 10 minutes. I can't imagine how strong it would be on my face. Even if I wasn't scent sensitive, having this strong of a scent in makeup is not ideal. It competes so much with any existing hair product (also typically scented), and forget adding a scented lotion or perfume. Unfortunately, due to the scent, this was not something I am keeping for my makeup bag. If the scent is a non-issue for you, the product is a good one.
Soft and buttery
This product arrived to me in perfect conditions. The formula is really soft and buttery, and the fragrance is quite nice. Very happy with this product. But I need to say something about the shade match: if you have an olive/ golden skin tone, or if you have the average southern European/Mediterranean pale skin and like a chiselled contour, or a golden tan finish, this shade may be to light for you. I have pale skin with an yellowish undertone, I like subtle makeup finish, and the fact that this shade doesn't really stand out, makes it great for me. But if you're not about natural makeup looks, try the darker shade.
Deep shade has lovely texture
This is my first time using any of Physicians Formula's products.
The bronzer is packaged in a lightweight compact and includes an oval-shaped, sponge-tipped applicator as a "brush".
Though the package says "brush", there aren't any bristles. The applicator, which comes wrapped in protective plastic, is encased at the bottom of the compact.
The first thing that I noticed with the bronzer: The coconut-sunscreen fragrance is strong and lingers.
I selected the shade using the brand's stock photo. I chose Deep. I'm a woc; my shade is NC55. In the pan, this bronzer is closer to NC43.
However, swatched on my arm and face, the shade is even lighter and closer to NC35. There's an ashy-gray powder that comes through the more I blend. The first ingredient is talc.
The bronzer is so silky and, pardon the pun, buttery-smooth. I really love the way it feels. I had no issues blending because the formula is really nice!
It has gold micro-glitter for a shimmery glow that I can see in the compact but not on my skin.
Overall, I'm intrigued by the formula so might consider getting the shade 'Sculpting Bronzer' since that is a true deep shade.
I received the bronzer complimentary from Physicians Formula.
Great Bang for your Buck
Gifted by Physicians Formula, I unfortunately was sent the incorrect shade but I still wanted to give this product a chance. Starting off with the texture it's extremely buttery soft to the touch very nice quality. I used it as a eye shadow cause the shade was to dark but it glides on so smoothly. Really need little to no work to blend in. The smell is very delightful too. Overall this is a great product for the price point. I think it would work beautifully on the skin if I was given the right shade.
The 4 stars I
The 4 stars I gave is the unbiased, objective quality of the formula. It is "buttery" as advertised, and therefore easily blendable. I love the shade I got, just called Bronzer. I thought it would be more shimmery, but it actually had a pretty matte finish. As for my totally biased, actual preference- 2 stars. It is coconut scented, and it is OVERPOWERING. I personally cannot stand the smell of coconut, so I will be returning. One thing I did like, and this is an unpopular opinion, is the packaging. The little sponge it includes is completely useless, but I love the little compartment and the mirror. Would make it very easy to touch up and use on the go.
Pretty and long lasting
This is a gorgeous liquid eyeshadow that looks green and shifts to gold. It contains real diamond dust. I'm new to liquid eyeshadows so the first look I did was all over my lid. It was nice but very glittery. The second time I tried to buff it out which took the green away and just left glitter. I added more to the outer corners by patting on with the applicator and my finger, and that is the way to go with this formula. The gentler you are, the more effective it is. My eyeshadow lasted all day yet washed off easily. Even the swatch on my hand lasted all day! Gifted by Physicians Formula.
Effortless sparkles
The packaging on this eyeshadow is so pretty! The gem-looking cap makes this product feel so special! I have the shade Bronze Brilliance and it is really nice for everyday wear. At first the texture is very wet, but it dries down very quickly (less than a minute). The eyeshadow is mostly sparkle and not brown pigment; therefore it blends with just your finger really effortlessly. The sparkles stayed on my eyelids all day, but they also tended to travel to my lower lash line too. At the end of the day it removed easily with my cleanser. I really like this product for on the go application. It's easy to use and the bronze sparkles is a neutral look for all occasions! I received this product complimentary from Physicians Formula.
Lifts and separates lashes
This mascara does a nice job of lifting and separating my lashes with just one coat. If you want a more bold lash then I would suggest doing at least two coats. I haven't noticed any clumping or flaking which is great. It lasts me all day without smudging or flaking. It also doesn't irritate my eyes as some mascaras do. The wand is easy to use as well. I love that this is an all-in-one formula that contains peptides, minerals, and Vitamin E. It also contains diamond dust for a subtle shine, but I didn't notice any shine in my lashes.
Beautiful colors, gone in a flash with water
I recently received a tube of Diamond Melt-Allic Eyeshadow in the color Golden Emerald, complimentary from Physician's Formula in exchange for my honest review, and let me say first, the packaging is lovely! It is a faceted, clear plastic tube, and looks beautiful on my vanity.
The product itself is soft and velvety in texture, and glides on easily with the included doefoot applicator. I got complete, even coverage in just ONE Swipe. When dried down, which happens very quickly, the color is vibrant and bright- reminiscent of a dragons skin, a gorgeous green that shines gold when the light shifts. It blends out beautifully.
That said - this product is not waterproof, at all. Although it is perfect when dry, if it gets wet - disaster. I applied this product, allowed it to dry, then dragged a wet fingertip through it . The green immediately disappeared, and all of the gold sparkle transferred over to my finger. Weirdest thing I ever saw. But, extremely easy to wash off, when you are ready to.
So, let's just say in closing, this product is wonderful for wearing indoors, or to cooler outdoor venues, but stay out of the rain alltogether.
Honestly, I would love to play around with this some more for different effects. That switch from green to gold could be useful in the right situations.
Very good eyeliner
This eyeliner is quite good. It goes on smoothly and it stays on until you wash it off. I work in a very hot kitchen around ovens, deep fryer, steam wells, an industrial steamer and a grill. I cook and wash dishes for 9 hours and did not sweat this stuff off! That is a huge plus! I easily removed with my normal face wash so no oils or special makeup remover needed, which I love!
The reason for 4 stars is it is very slow to dry. I actually had to dust the eyeliner with eyeshadow so I could finish my makeup on time in the morning. Also the brush itself could be improved. I would like a smaller, more pointed tip to make application easier.
Otherwise this is an amazing, long lasting eyeliner!
Love the wand
I've been using Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Diamond Mascara- Black Diamond for just shy of a month now. So far I love it with just one small con to it. The wand I love, the bristles are a bit harder than most making combing and separating my eyelashes very easy to avoid that chunky eyelash look. The color is a very nice and rich black so I only need to use one coat on each eye. I have definitely noticed a bonus of an added length to the finished look of my eyelashes as well! My only concern is a bit too much mascara tends to come out on the wand at once so it needs to be wiped away.
Let me start by
Let me start by saying that you will definitely not be a fan of this if you dont like the smell of tropical coconuts and I mean a very strong scent. It smells lovely and the bronzer formula is amazing enough for me to look past smell I just make sure I dont add perfume on top lol. That all being said physicians formula really out did themselves with this formula. I know that its called "butter bronzer," but it seriously believe its the perfect name because I have trouble describing this bronzer to anyone without using the phrase "buttery," because it's just buttery. You can't go wrong with this, the shades and the undertones aren't the best because they are drugstore however if you can come close to your match its a knock out of the park. Hope this helps
Tube is packed with product!
My first impression before even opening the tube, is that the packaging is a bit bulky in my opinion. It's a unique design for sure, just unnecessary. Next, the wand. I'm a fan of all different sorts of wands. This one is one with very short, hard "bristles". This doesn't bother me because the stiffness helps to comb through the lashes. The tube is packed full of product, so your first few uses you will definitely want to scrape off any extra product so you're not globbing it into your lashes with one pass. The wand helped separate and lengthen my lashes
Overall I really liked this mascara
Love everything but the scent
I bought this a few months ago. I initially loved it. It has the perfect balance of not looking too overdone, but it's not too little either. The lashes are full and soft looking. Love it!
I even wore it while camping, and swam in it everyday. Even tho it's not waterproof, it wouldn't run and make a mess on my face. Some product would come off, but I didn't look crazy person after swimming in it! Super impressed! And then it washes off super easily with a regular face wash at the end of the day.
The downside: I'm not fond of fragrance in any of my makeup, and eye products in particular! Over time, my eyes became sensitized to this product They became unbearably itchy every time I wore it. I had to throw it out. :( If this came in a fragrance-free formulation ever, I would be super excited!
I can't say enough
I can't say enough to explain exactly how much I love my #PhysiciansFormula #ButterBronzer ... let me at least try! First, it is so pretty in the packaging (the pictures don't do it justice) and the smell is sooo good! It smells like you are laying in a lounge chair on the beach with sun tan oil in the air! Yum! Plus it applies so smoothly. I love the fact that it has buildable coverage, however the first application tends to be very light on me. That is what I prefer, but a lot of people do not which is the only reason for the 4 stars... if you haven't tried it, or it hasn't been pulled out in a while... give it a try!!! #SummerGlow #AllBronzeNoBake #hellobetsey #hellobetseyboutique
Beautiful matte drugstore bronzer.
I hesitated to buy it because people said it smells bad, but after smelling it I can assure people it's an authentic monoi scent. Tropical gardenia in a sun oil way, instead of sunblock. Not for everyone, and very different to the original Butter Bronzer. The tones seems a bit orange, though. I hope they come out with more because Deep Bronze is my favorite in the BB shade range. I like a more neutral tone that works year round for bronzing. On very light skin tones this will probably be far too warm. Idk. Everyone has different preferences. You also have to love matte bronzer because this has none of the glow as the original. I like it, just need more shades.
I hesitated buying this
I hesitated buying this for a long time. I tried the butter blush a while back and didn't like it at all. Even though people raved about this I was skeptical. I went to my moms and forgot my bronzer so decided to give this one a try. I actually like it a lot more then I expected. Im not sure the shade is the best for me but with a light hand it looks beautiful. Its pigmented and although the smell is strong I really like it. I pretty afforable compared to a lot of my other bronzer and well worth the price. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer Sunkissed - 0.38oz Happy I added it to my collection.
Amazing smell, great bronzer
The most amazing thing about this bronzer is it's smell! I know that sounds weird coming from makeup, but when I first opened this compact, I was overwhelmed by an amazing island smell - kind of a coconut, frangipani flower mixture. I like that there is a brush with this, and I like the way it's setup in separate compartments, but it's a little weird trying to get the brush out from underneath the bronzer. There are holes in the bottom compartment with the brush which allows the brush to breathe, but it also makes it so that the makeup left on the brush can fall out and make a mess. So there are a few little things I'm not sure I like, but over all it's a great compact. As for the bronzer itself, it's easy to put on and blends in with my other makeup very well. I like the look it gives my face and the fragrance puts a smile on my face. Overall, I really like this product. I have tried many Physicians Formula products and have been very impressed with the brand, and this butter bronzer is no less amazing.
Tropical Vacation
I am a huge fan of Physician's Formula, specifically their Butter Bronzer, so I was super excited to give the primer a try. First, I LOVE the smell. Every time I use it I am whisked away to a tropical island. Second, this primer is easy to apply; it warms up in your fingers and a little bit goes a long way. Third, I do notice that my makeup glides on easily and stays put when using this product. I also like using the primer on its own to give my skin a bit of a glowy and blurred look on no-makeup days. I will note that it doesn't fill in pores so if that is what you are looking for, this may not be the right product for you. Otherwise, I love this primer!
