Dissatisfied
I have tried this multiple times in different ways. Kept product on for 10 minutes and as long as 1 hour. Followed by the shampoo left on for 5 minutes. Followed by conditioner for 5 minutes. Didn't seem to matter how long I left it on or if I followed with the shampoo and conditioner. I do love the smell. The products also left my hair felling greasy and caked. However, I don't judge it by the feeling because I have hard water which affects how products leave my hair. Overall it's expensive for a product that doesn't work
This works but…
I had white blonde hair and had it dyed back to brunette, which I regretted after a few weeks. I bought all three products in this line and two absolutely work. However, the consistency of this pre-treatment is slightly too thick to be in a spray bottle. I pour some the well-shaken bottle and apply it to my damp hair with my hands. Kind of a mess. But less messy than crushing up vitamin C tablets and adding it to a product to lighten my hair (which is essentially what this line is - using ascorbic acid as a weak alternative to bleaching). All in all, it lightened my hair about 2 levels after two uses. Tip: I leave it on for about 30 minutes with a shower cap before shampooing. The accompanying shampoo also needs to left on for a few minutes to work, although it doesn't say that on the bottle.
Bleach Blonde, Brassy with Breakage
LOVE!! Helped with Everything. My hair is a bright blonde now, it feels healthy and strong. I have tried everything from bonding systems to masks. Here is exactly what I did: 1. Sprayed the Blondage High Bright Treatment in sections all over my hair and let sit for 5 minutes (Do not Rinse) 2. Shampoo 2x with the Blondage High Bright Shampoo 3. Condition with the Blondage High Bright Conditioner (I like to rinse with cool water for healthier hair) 4. It felt dry but I put in the Extreme Bleach Recovery leave in cream and then 5. Sprayed the Extreme Anti-Snap Spray and Beautiful Healthy Blonde Hair! I recommend buying the trial sizes for the Blondage products to see how it works for you before the investment. STAY AWAY
Would give 0/5 for this one if I could. Not impressed at all. This stuff changed the colour of my natural hair? Didn't think it was supposed to do that. The parts of my hair that were my natural (a nice, ashy dark blonde) have now turned a shade of orange? Brassiness and I don't mix so I'm really upset by this. The product did nothing for the highlighted parts of my hair either. If anything my (used to be) white blonde highlights are now more brassy too. All around an epic fail. My hair looks like that one time I was 12 and sprayed peroxide in my hair… If you hate brassiness like me then stay far away. This is going to be an expensive fix at the salon. Thanks Redken.
Stick to your purples
Positives first-- loved the smell. Now the rest -- Used the whole system, saw no difference in my blonde. Dried out my hair, had to use a ton of the conditioner, so bottle won't last long. No idea what the net positives for this system are -- thought I'd have brighter, stronger, conditioned hair. Instead, color looks the same and tangled mess. (Redken does say it will not remove brassiness because does not have toner). I'm always looking for products to strengthen, condition, and add shine to my longish highlighted hair, and if the color is improved in some way, great. This was def NOT the system for any of my hair goals.
The right bright
Product is a little time consuming and needs to be used 5 to 10 minutes on damp hair before washing or getting into the shower. So not the most convenient product for a daily routine. It seems my light tone was maintained but I did not see a huge difference in color. The product is easy to use and packaging is average. The formula is thicker and had to be blended in after spraying. The fragrance is a traditional masculine smell very old spice fragrance that's not necessarily my favorite fragrance.
Not sure
I am still not sure how to feel about this product. First of all, I am not a fan of the "leave-in for 10 minutes in wet hair before washing" concept. For me it is annoying and time consuming specially since the results are not mindblowing. I also am not a fan of the spray pump. I was not able to spread it in my hair effectively and I ended up just spraying it in my hands and then spreading it (which defeats the purpose of the applicator). I did notice a small difference when using this product. My hair were easier to brush, they looked smoother and overall slightly better. Even without using any tools and just letting my hair air dry. I just wish Redken was able deliver these better results via simply the shampoo and conditioner or even hair mask. I wouldn't even my pre-shampoo treatment in DRY hair when I'd just spray it, walked around and then hopped in the shower and continue with shampooing.
Blondage High Bright
I've taken a considerably long time to write this review as to give this product an honest chance after receiving it for free to test out. As with all of their hair care line, it didn't fail in the aroma department, it definitely has a good scent. I feel like it conditioned my hair well and helped the dullness of my far to mistreated highlights. My hair was easy to comb through and I was satisfied with this product. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if it will be a staple in my personal hair care line only because I'm either too busy or too lazy to spray the pretreatment on, wait, and then follow with the rest of the process. In my honest opinion the results weren't much better then my easy one step purple haircare products which doesn't at all justify the work that needs to be done to keep it up.
Redken Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment
My hair is natural no dye. I wasn't sure if this would lighten my hair for that reason. The pre-treatment was a pain to do because the bottle did not spray well. I ended up just pumping some in my hand first and applying it that way. You have to leave it on for 5-10 minutes in damp hair before using the shampoo. The smell isn't very pleasant. I used this a few times a week for about a month. My before photo is on the left and then the after is the close up on the right. It does look like it's lightened up some strands.
Amazing Blonde pretreatment
Love this product! It's the perfect clarifying spray to get ride of all the build up before using the shampoo and conditioner for blondes. It makes my hair feel so clean and soft and this product seals cuticles helping to get you even brighter by locking out the dullness. I love that it has vitamin C and is nourishment for my hair with great results. A new favorite that helps keep my blonde bright and my hair soft and healthy. If you want the brightest blonde and you struggle with dullness or darkening of your blonde you want to give this a try!

How To Use
