Redken Blondage High Bright Shampoo for Blondes and Highlights

love this shampoo and recommend it to all my blonde friends

i've been trying to move away from grey-toned ashy blonde into more of a bright blonde and i LOVE this. purple shampoos were great for keeping out yellow, but left me ashier than desired. this keeps my bleached blonde hair a beautiful bright tone without being yellow or ashy! i was nervous that it might dry out or compromise my hair because of the "brightening agents" but it's honestly softer and more manageable than ever. i feel like it really gets my roots and scalp nice and clean too. i've been using this once a week alongside the matching conditioner, and i get nonstop compliments from coworkers, friends, and even my hairdresser! for reference i have fine hair (not thin hair, A LOT of fine hair) that's straight/slightly wavy, and am a dark blonde bleached to a level 9-10.

Extremely Drying

Bought this during the Black Friday sale and used it for the first time. Be careful if you have fine hair or sensitive skin! Immediately after washing, my hair felt stiff and dry. I even used the conditioner of this line it still felt horribly dry. It also made chunks of my hair fall out! Parts of my ears, scalp, forehead and hands sting from where this product touched my skin. I ended up having to deep condition my hair after using it because my hair was crispy and, even then, I was using an insane amount of product to try to get the knots out. It did do a pretty good job at lightening the hair, but I will not be using this again. My hair looks and feels like I fried it with bleach.

Bleach Blonde with Brass and Breakage

LOVE!! Helped with Everything. My hair is a bright blonde now, it feels healthy and strong. I have tried everything from bonding systems to masks. Here is exactly what I did: 1. Sprayed the Blondage High Bright Treatment in sections all over my damp hair and let sit for 5 minutes (Do not Rinse) 2. Shampoo 2x with the Blondage High Bright Shampoo 3. Condition with the Blondage High Bright Conditioner (I like to rinse with cool water for healthier hair) 4. It felt dry but I put in the Extreme Bleach Recovery leave in cream and then 5. Sprayed the Extreme Anti-Snap Spray and Beautiful Healthy Blonde Hair! I recommend buying the trial sizes for the Blondage products to see how it works for you before the investment. Redken does it again!

First, I would like to start off by saying I am not in the beauty industry nor do I get any benefit from raving about products, but I absolutely love Redken hair products and this system hits the mark! I naturally have long dark brown hair, but get a full ashy blonde balayage every 2-3 months. With that being said, I need to use solid products to keep my hair healthy. This product smells and feels good when lathering; reminds me of a hybrid of their purple shampoo and newer protein shampoo/conditioner in white bottles. I definitely see myself buying this product; hopefully they selling them in the bigger sizes to the general public soon!

Must buy both Shampoo & Conditioner

I have dark blonde hair with some grown out highlights. I am going in soon to get a bright balayage. I bought this for after I get the balayage, but figured I'd try it out before to see what it does.

It lathers pretty well, especially after the first wash, so if washing hair twice use much less the second time. I noticed it really knotted my hair up after washing with shampoo, but after using the conditioner, it smoothed it right out. I generally only wash my roots and condition my ends, but since this is for brightening, use it all over.

After one wash on very faded, grown out blonde highlights, my hair is much brighter. I read if you keep using it, it will brighten your hair over time. I won't be using until I get my hair done, but I trust Redken.

Impressive!

I have dark blonde and silver hair and I like taking care of it. I have used certain hair color specific shampoo & conditioner but I have never gotten the results I did with this product. My blonde was brighter, it looked healthy, it was pretty cool! When I saw the results after my hair air dried, I actually said "oh wow!" Out loud. I felt pretty, I felt confident, and I loved my hair even more. I am planning on working this trio into my budge because I am that impressed with this. My hair was full, soft, shiny, bright.

Soft and feeling clean

I followed the 3 step process and after adding the shampoo to the treatment product the lather was unexpected- it was like homemade whipping cream, it was so thick and while I waited to rinse my scalp was tingly feeling. It has a scent that I didn't particularly like but I could tolerate. Both products are clear when I was expecting purple since all other blonde products I've used are purple. Once I rinsed out the shampoo combination my hair felt very soft. I added conditioner which was a thick white lotion consistency. It didn't feel like it was softening my hair and there was no lather. After rinsing I thought my hair would feel dry but it didn't. My hair looks refreshed and the blonde really stands out. My scalp feels really clean and my hair is very soft.

Super concentrated shampoo!

This shampoo was so amazing! I started noticing since springtime that my scalp felt oilier. This shampoo cleansed my hair and scalp without leaving it feeling completely stripped. It worked beautifully with the accompanying conditioner. It left my hair smooth and silky. As I mentioned in the review for the pre treatment the only product I didn't live was the pre spray. Both fir the poor spray nozzle given how much you have to saturate your hair and how laborious the whole process was. I didn't notice any significant blonding improvements but I won't rule out that it might for people who don't have multi dimensional highlighting and lowlights. Overall I was thrilled with this set and would both recommend and re purchase it in the future.

Foamy

I am a fan of Redken and overall I haven't had a bad experience with their products. I am still on a hunt for the perfect shampoo/conditioner for my blond highlights. I'd describe my hair as normal, drier ends and oilier roots. I am simply looking for something that won't weight my hair down (make my roots oilier) and also hydrate the lengths of my hair together with maintaining my blond highlights (no brass). I am used to purple shampoos for blond hair. This one is not. It is nicely foamy so you don't need to apply too much. It definitely tangles my hair but I don't think it is drying because my hair have been smooth since I started using this. I also didn't weight my hair down and I can go without washing my usual three days (even 4!). My highlights have been looking good as well. Overall this is a really good shampoo but I am sure there is one which won't tangle my hair that much.

Not what I expected

As a blonde, I'm always looking to achieve the blondest blonde I can achieve. I frequently use salon quality purple shampoo, and have used Redken products in the past that I really liked- I had high hopes for this Redken shampoo. When I used it for the first time and it wasn't purple, I was skeptical as to how it would keep my blonde hair bright and beautiful. Without a doubt, this shampoo kept my hair from becoming brassy, something I'm prone to after a highlight or dye job. However, my blonde faded, as is normal if I'm not using a purple shampoo. If I'm simply looking to tame my brassy locks, then this was a good product. But for brightening, I'll stick to my purple shampoo.
