Redken Color Extend Conditioner

Love this product

This is definitely a great conditioner. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is strictly because of the cost. I only purchase the liter when I have at least a 20% off coupon. The smell is amazing and I use this everyday. A little goes a long way. I use Purology Nanoworks for my shampoo and this Redken as my conditioner. Helps keep my color longer and my hair shiny.

The new bottles - Ugh

Please put your shampoos and conditioners in the old style bottles (or even large tubes like the travel size are in) because these new bottles are awful. I almost have to stand on them to get the product out of them. They are awful and seem very heavy for travel. I'm hunting for a new shampoo if I can't get the old style bottles or large tubes.

would buy again

I was using the magnetics shampoo and magnetics conditioner for so long. Then I started to get a lot of buildup so decided to try other redken conditioners So now I am using the redken magnetic shampoo with the extend conditioner. This is a better combination for me, the extend conditioner is a bit lighter than the magnetics conditioner and my hair has more body now and no build up.

Moisturized and manageable

If you use bleach while coloring your hair, you know how dry your hair can get...or if your hair is naturally dry, you also know what I mean. Redken color extend conditioner is WONDERFUL. I love how soft and manageable it leaves my hair, as well as the light scent it leaves. The best part is my hair stays moisturized between washes. I love this product.

Great conditioner

I received this item for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own. I have naturally wavy hair that I've been color treating since I was 14 years old. I am naturally a light brunette and I have been highlighting my hair so that I am a platinum blonde. My hair is normally very dry but this conditioner did help with moisturizing it. I also do think it helps with maintaining the color although it did not seem to help with brassiness.

Perfect for lightweight moisture!

I accidentally posted this review for the shampoo but this conditioner is so good I decided to repost it in the correct place!

My hair is fine and thin, but also wavy/curly. It's hard to find a conditioner that will moisturize my hair enough but not so much that it makes my hair flat and greasy. This conditioner was exactly what I wanted! It's super lightweight and melts into the hair, but still conditioning enough to make my hair soft and shiny. My curls really popped using this, but I still had a lot of volume. This is now my new go to for "everyday" use!

Great for Color, Not for Curls

Like the shampoo, I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. It doesn't really deserve 3 stars, but it doesn't deserve 4 stars, either.

The life of the color is definitely extended, with the right brand of color. I do several at home because my hair grows so quickly. The conditioner smells better than the shampoo, in my opinion.

Make sure you follow the instructions. It's not the kind of conditioner that gets better the longer you leave it in your hair. Put it on, rinse it out. I do it again right before In step out of the shower, and had better results with my hair.

Now, the actual conditioning part might be a misnomer. My hair was frizzier and had WAY more fly aways than normal, even using other Redken products trying to control it. I expected a little more from a Redken product.

If the color of your hair is all you are worried about, this will work. That's the reason for the 4 stars, and recommending. That's the purpose of the product.

For me personally, I wouldn't use again because I need the moisturizing and damage control. If I was only looking for the color care, I'd absolutely use it.

Nothing special

I have been dying my hair red for around 22 years so I'm always looking for products that are going to be color safe and leave my hair looking and feeling less damaged. I have used other Redken products for colored hair and have liked them, especially the color magnetics line, unfortunately this is not as good as that! After using the shampoo which felt drying, the conditioner couldn't really help with that feeling. With another shampoo, it was fine but nothing special.

Love it

Redken Color Extend Conditioner for Color treated hair has given my dull mane life. From opening the bottle and squeezing it out, the fresh smell draws you in a invites you to cover your hair with this revitalizing conditioner. Moisturizes thoroughly but also leaves your hair manageable and easy to style. This will be my new go to purchase for conditioner after trying. Even with continious blow drying and heat, my hair and color stay looking great.

Nice smell but made me itch

I loved the scent of this shampoo - it reminded me of getting a wash at the salon. However, after using for a few weeks my scalp started getting dry and itchy - I didn't change anything else with my haircare routine so I'd have to say it was from the new shampoo & conditioner. I wanted to love it but scratching at my head was just not worth it. I'll be tempted to try again immediately after I get my color re-processed to see if it helps hold color longer.
