Damaged my hair

I wish this wasnt the case but it is! I should add my highlights are new about 2-3 weeks since i got them so there was already some damage there… but this shampoo made its sooooo much worse ): Maybe i used too much or maybe i used it to often but it really messed my hair up. The first use was great def lighten my hair alooot. I then used again maybe 2-3 days later. And again probably 3 days later!! DON'T do this!!! It probably would be fine once a week or every 2 weeks but after that 3rd use my hair was so dry and brittle it looks so dull and has breakage all the way up it. Its like the bit of damage already there from highlights it made it 10 times worse. I wont be using again. This is prob my mistake for using too often to start out but i was so excited by how much it was lightening it i really wish i didnt because my hair looks not good at all now i never would have thought a shampoo could do damage like this. I figured the worse that would happen my blonde would get purply but i was wrong

Purple Magic!

This shampoo is amazing! I lightened my hair and it ended up being a yellowish blonde. I thought that I liked it, but I had to do something. I could either put more stress on my hair by using T18 (or whatever the appropiate number was for my hair) or try a purple shampoo. After looking through the different options, I decided on this one. Best decision! I washed my hair, left it in for like 4min and then used the conditioner and repeated the process just to make sure that the color penetrated the strands. After blow drying and flat ironing, my hair is perfect. The yellow is gone. No, purple streaks, and it's not too light. And then on top of that, my hair seems to be shinier and has more volume than it did before (and I put my hair through a couple of processes to get to this point). This stuff is magic. Your results may vary, but I love my results.

My holy grail go-to purple shampoo!!

I have tired SOOO many purple shampoos in my days being a blonde and this one is my faaaave! I use it once a week. Don't leave it on for too long because it will turn your hair a faint shade of purple (I might or might not be speaking from experience, LOL). I use this shampoo first and follow it with my regular shampoo and conditioner. That has been my routine for years! I do not buy the purple conditioner (I never have but it's definitely up to your personal preference) I just buy the shampoo and get the results I want!

Disclaimer: when you use this, it will look like you slung it all over your shower walls/curtain but it rinses off and doesn't stain the walls or anything so don't worry! Rinse your hands immediately after lathering it in your hair though because it tends to turn my hands purple but it goes away, it isn't permanently stained on your skin or anything.

I like it, but don't love it!

So I have used many MANY "purple" shampoos over quite a few years. Not only do I have long blonde hair, but I'm also a professional hairdresser owning a salon. I received this product as a free sample so I can let everyone know my thoughts and opinions. This is definitely not the worst product, however I don't think it's the best either. I have given it a few weeks to really test it out. I like the fact that it won't over tone your blonde hair making you walk around looking purple. I also think that sometimes these types of products can almost make my color more brassy or gold then it was before, however this product didn't do that which is a plus. But I also didn't love this either. I didn't notice that much of a difference in anything. It wasn't potent enough for me to see any kinda results.

I would say I like it, don't love it.

BEST for curly highlights!

I have naturally curly hair that I recently began to highlight. Tried a plethora of purple shampoo but have not found one as effective as Redkens. It contains SLS which is OKAY to use if you know how you're using it! I clarify with Redkens clarifying shampoo 1x every 2 weeks and alternate on the off week of clarifying with this purple shampoo. I often use silicones in my curl care products as I live in a humid climate. To avoid the "drying" effects of the SLS I follow with a hydrating mask for ~10 min. BEAUTIFUL volume from removing the silicones and BEAUTIFUL toning! I use a bit on my scalp only to clean, rinse, then follow with more product which I leave on for ~5min and get a really nice second lather after the buildup is removed the first time. Honestly have not found a shampoo as powerful as this one. It can be drying if you use too often or do not following with hydrating mask. Please try this method, you won't be disappointed!

One of the best I've tried!

I have been trying this shampoo with the conditioner for awhile now. I think it's totally worth the price to keep your highlights/balayage looking good as new and not worry about the orange that can come along with it. I was hoping Redken's purple shampoo would work, and I wasn't disappointed. I tend to leave both shampoo and conditioner on for at least 5-10 mins depending on how bright I want to go. I don't feel like it damages my hair if I leave it on there for 5-10 mins. The smell is amazing! Highly recommend.

Best Purple Shampoo I've Owned

This shampoo is the real deal. The moment it came out of the bottle, I knew that this product was high quality and that it would work. This shampoo is a deep purple, that is a little runny, but covers hair well. In fact, it is *so* pigmented that my tub water turned purple - looking as if I'd used a bath bomb. Also, the shampoo has a light pleasant scent that isn't overbearing. I personally am sensitive to perfumes, but this product didn't bother me as others have. Finally, the results were fantastic - my blonde looked like day one of coloring. If you are in the market for a new purple shampoo - give this shampoo a try.

Color Extended Blondage Purple Shampoompoo

I've been using the color extended bondage purple shampoo for the past week or two and my hair is blonder than it has ever been. The color cuz I dye my hair platinum blonde has not come out of my hair as if I was using regular shampoo so this purple extended blondage shampoo makes the color dye last longer in your hair. I'm definitely going to start using this from now on especially if you dye your hair a lot and blonde is hard to keep up with but this makes it a lot easier to keep up with your blonde hair especially a platinum blonde so I definitely recommend this and I am so grateful that I got this from bzzagent

Purple power

the past few weeks I have been trying out Redken's color extend blonde shampoo and have to say I am loving the results. let's get to the points were it's a ehh for me . First of all This shampoo is highly pigmented and smells almost like a masculine cologne. While the bottle instructed to use gloves for its application the purple staining on your hands is temporary and can easily be washed off. The label instructed to leave the shampoo on from anywhere to 5 minutes. So I left it on for bout 10 just to make sure the brassy is gone and I would rub my hair to make sure . Like all purple shampoos I will say this one made my hair a little dryer and rat nest than normal ones . But don't worry I also used the Redken matching blonde conditioner my hair felt nourished and healthy. I love that this shampoo did not strip the highlighted color out of my hair. If you have been looking for a new blonde shampoo that isn't overly powerful then you should definitely give Redken's color extend blondage color depositing purple shampoo a try!

Awesome hydration!

The shampoo is awesome! After using, it left my hair so shiny and so hydrated. I absolutely love the smell, it is a little bit musky which is some thing I prefer over floral. The shampoo really helped to brighten up my highlights that I get done regularly at the salon. I haven't had to get them touched up as much as of late and I will attribute that to using this shampoo and conditioner. I tend to shampoo twice as the instructions say that you are able to and I have noticed that really helps with the Shire. Highly recommend this product to help keep you out of the salon a little bit longer!
