Redken Travel Size Frizz Dismiss Sulfate-Free Shampoo

I purchased this product

I purchased this product last year while the company was having a sale. I never tried Redken products before and read good reviews on it so I decided to give it a try. I noticed right off the bat it smelled like a clean and fresh perfume. I am a big fan of scented hair products so it was a plus for me. As I lathered it into my hair, it foamed up pretty well and seemed to give it a good clean. After I had dried my hair, I noticed my hair appeared more shiny and soft. I have naturally curly hair so when I blow dry and straighten it, there is still normally a lot of frizz. This shampoo definitely helped take away a lot of the frizziness in my hair, but not all of it. There was still a small amount of frizziness in my hair but definitely better than what it was before I started using this shampoo. I had actually stopped using this product only because of it's lasting power. I don't wash my hair everyday, I normally like to wash it every two to three days and I noticed the next day, my hair looked as if I hadn't washed it for three days. My roots were so greasy. Yes, dry shampoo can help with that, but I didn't want to have to drown my hair in product the very next day after washing it the day before. Overall, I liked this shampoo for the frizz control, but if I would have been able to go a couple more days without it looking like I had to wash it the next day, I would keep using it.

Game Changer!

I didn't think I could love a shampoo & conditioner so much! I took long to write my review because I wanted to really test it out until the very last minute.

I have noticed a change in my hair and scalp since I started to use them both together. My hair has a lot less frizz than before with other brands. It leaves my smooth with no frizz at all. No matter if I blow dry my hair straight or leave it curly, the frizz is controlled!

It also has a nice yet very subtle scent which is nice. I love that it has not dried out my scalp like other shampoos I've been using. I think I've found my holy grail shampoo & conditioner!

great shampoo

I love how thick this shampoo is and it does exactly what it claims to do. My hair felts so soft, shiny and a lot less frizzy after using this. It also helped a lot with the buildup I've been getting lately. I usually wash my curls every 2 to 3 days because it gets greasy very fast but after using this shampoo I can make it to the 4th day without it looking overly greasy. I was very impressed. I've been using Redken for years and this is probably one of the best products I've tried from them. I definitely recommend, especially for the curly girls out there.

Worked Well But Likely Wouldn't Buy

I've done the "curly girl" method for a year, shaved my head. Then continued with the "curly girl" approved products. This was my first shampoo that wasn't apart of this regimen so I wasn't sure how my hair would react. My does appear shinier and appears stronger. I wasn't a fan of the chemical smell. I was not easily able to find cruelty-free info on this product so that was a thumbs down for me. The do qualify for a silver cradle to cradle position, which I found interesting to learn about. For whatever reason this product also made my shower extremely slippery. Almost had a few slips while using it.

Redken's frizz dismiss shampoo really has helped make my damaged, color-treated hair more manageable and healthier-looking. Due to being a lover of hot tools, hair dye, and humid climates in general, a frizz-controlling shampoo is a necessity! I was thoroughly impressed by how sleek and beautiful my hair looks when shampooing with this product.

I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because it doesn't have my usual super plumping, voluminous feel that my thin hair also desperately needs on certain days.

So was stoked to try this set of redken frizz dismiss shampoo and conditioner duo. I do experience frizzy hair especially with the humidity in my city. I love the smell o of it , which smell is a big thing for me when buying shampoo and conditioner. hair felt good after washing it tamed the frizz a bit not a whole bunch. still had to use other products to help control the frizz. I did like the look of the packaging, different from o most bottles.

Is it worth your money? The answer is not as strai

I am torn on what to say about this product. On one hand, it's a high-quality shampoo that smells great and lathers well, but, on the other, it doesn't really do what it's supposed to. The texture of my hair is something between straight and wavy, but I do struggle with a lot of frizz (even though there is no curl in my texture). I tried this and let my hair air dry, and it was still frizzy enough for me to have to use a straightener to make it look nice. I didn't notice a significant difference in the results between using this and my other shampoo. I'm giving this 4 stars because this will last you a while (you don't need to use much for it to larger) and it smells good, but if you're looking for something to deal with the issue of frizzy hair, this might be something to really do your research on. My hair was not impressed...

new favorite shampoo!

Prior to trying this, I exclusively used 'drugstore' shampoos. I loved OGX and Kristen Ess. I have straight, but frizzy hair. I never understood the hype around 'salon shampoos' - but I'm so happy I got to try this. You really only need a fraction of the amount of shampoo I would normally use - it's so much more concentrated, and you can feel the difference. So even though this is more expensive, I'm going through it much less quickly. And the frizz reduction! My hair air-dries with significantly less frizz. Can't say enough good things about this!

Great for fine, frizzy hair - but has silicone

I like that this shampoo is sulfate free. I wish it was silicone free too but unfortunately unfortunately it's not. I try to limit the use of silicone in my hair care as it can cause buildup. I haven't noticed too much build up with this shampoo like I expected I would see. It leaves my hair soft, volumized, and much less frizzy. It's good for me to use on days I want my hair to be naturally wavy or days I want to straighten it. The fragrance is nice, it smells a little bit nutty. A little bit goes a long way a half liter bottle will probably last me 6 months. For reference I have fine, low porosity hair that is dense and goes down to my bra strap in length.

You just need a small amount of this shampoo. A little goes a long way. The shampoo is very thick. I wasted a lot when I first used it. I love the smell and it's not over powering either. It's light and delicate. It suds up very nicely and rinsed great as well. I like how it makes my hair feel and it does seem to help with keeping the frizz calmed down. I would totally use this again. I think I may have found my new shampoo! It's a great size and will last a while. Especially since a small amount goes such a long way.
