Soap & Glory Magnifi-Coco Body Scrub 2-stars Reviews
Disappointed, it's more like a soap :(
I really wanted to love this "scrub", but it just reminds me of a soap with very light exfoliate in it. I couldn't see or feel a difference after using it. I ended up adding coffee grounds to mine to make it more into a scrub. The smell is a nice light vanilla coconut scent, but to me it smells even better now since adding the coffee haha. The packaging is nice because you're able to get every last drop out, but it is a bit hard to open with wet hands since the lid is so wide. Oh, I also forgot to add that this stuff lathers up just like a soap. It isn't greasy either, so if you are looking for that then this is for you. For me it was a no.
Overpowering fragrance
I got a full sized jar of the Soap & Glory Magnifi-coco Body Scrub for free to try out. For some reason the container that I got does not say "Buff & Ready" on there; it simply just says "Body Scrub," scented with coconut & Sweet Vanilla. That's supposed to sound delicious, but when I opened the container, the fragrance was too strong and too overpowering for me. I am not a fan of products with very strong fragrances and I don't really smell coconut or vanilla, it's more of a flowery scent, and rather over powerful one at that. Which now brings me to the ingredients list which isn't so great for it contains SLS (Sodium Laureth & lauryl Sulfate) and Parfum (fragrance), which I try to avoid in products and go for more natural. I also wanted to point out that when the container arrived, it was not sealed and there was no sign that it was sealed at all. When I unscrewed the lid, there was about 2/3 of the product left (or should I put it as 1/3 of the container is empty). So I really question the safety of the product and whether it was a used bottle. Given a combination of the smell of the product and the possible unsanitary packaging, I don't feel safe using this product on my skin or body.
Boring and Non Exfoliate
I love body scrubs, a shower does not feel right without one. That being said I have spent hundreds of dollars on body scrubs over the years and have experience with great and poor products. I found that " Buff and Ready" does not exfoliate like others, the scent is not coconut at all, its very musky. I was not satisfied.
Barely scrubby
I love the Breakfast Scrub. I picked this one up when the other was out of stock. They can't even compare! This smells odd, not like coconuts, and was more gloopy than scrubby. And it bubbled a bit? Wasn't expecting that from a scrub. Le sigh. I'll give it to my 6 year old and she'll be stoked on it at least.
No grit, no coconut
Least favorite S&G scrub so far. I prefer a nice gritty scrub and this barely feels like you're getting a scrubbed at all. Other scrubs by S&G are much better. Also this does not smell like coconut at all... bummed.
