Love The Righteous Butter

I absolutely love this product. I have Lupus and it is the only product I have found that helps the skin on my chest and neck look better. My Lupus had caused my chest and neck to have a wrinkled leather like look to it. My niece gave me The Righteous Butter by Soap and Glory for Christmas one year. I started using it and I have kept using this product as my chest ad neck now look normal as it should. I highly praise this product as it has done for me what no other product has been able to do.

This is body butter has a creamy texture that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth without feeling greasy or heavy. It has worked well on my dry skin, showing improvement after just a few days and has actually worked really well for my daughter's skin that was starting to get very dry as well. My only complaint about the product is the scent. It's not that it smells "bad", I just don't like it - it's a unique smell with some floral hints.

Smells great, but not very moisturizing.

This body butter is very light feeling, with a lovely scent. It's fresh and sweet, with a hint of floral. At least that's what I get. It absorbs pretty quickly, which makes my hectic mornings go much easier. My qualm is that it's not very hydrating overall. It seems moisturizing, but that feeling quickly dissipates and my skin is left dry once again. This is fine for the summer months for me, but I know once winter really hits here in the northeast, and the air is dry, I'm going to have to switch to a better formula.

Smooth skin

I live in a very dry climate so I definitely love body butters and lotions to keep my skin moisturized and smooth. When I first opened the Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter body butter, I was struck by the scent and the texture. The scent is floral, and initially I worried it would be too strong for my tastes. I also noticed the texture was quite different than other body butters. This body butter is much thinner; not quite like a lotion but definitely less of a whipped texture than I'm used to. After using it several times, I find that my initial concerns were unfounded. The flowery scent is quite pleasant on the skin and lingers without being too much like some rose products can be. And despite the thinner texture of the body butter, it is a great moisturizer. It goes on nicely and leaves my skin smooth and soft. Overall I thought it was a nice body butter.

Great moisturizer

I love other soap and glory products but I must not have tried the signature fragrance products before this. I'm not a fan of the scent at all. It was just too strong for my liking. The body butter its self felt great going on and did give me really soft skin so that was a plus. So if someone loves the rose & bergamot scent it's still a really wonderful product. I wish it had a little bit more "slip" to it though. I like to use my moisturizers on my thighs to prevent rubbing. This product did not work for that.

Scent was Too Strong

I was excited to try this product but I ended up not liking it very much. The body butter itself felt nice and absorbed well but the scent was way too strong for me. It made it difficult for me to continue using it. I had tried the body wash from this brand before and I don't remember the smell being so strong. I'm disappointed it didn't worked out for me so that I could continue using it but I just can't. I would recommend this to friends and family if they enjoy the scent because I think the product itself was good.

Thick, luscious, smells INCREDIBLE

I'm immediately drawn toward anything with the word "butter" in the name. It tells me, this product will leave me and my skin feeling sumptuous, velvety, smooth. Soap & Glory's Righteous Body Butter does not disappoint on all those fronts…it leaves my skin "like buttah." It's so rich and creamy, I have to stop and remind myself not to eat it. And the scent? Oh my! The scent is opulent, yet not overpowering. Its subtlety lingers soft on my skin long after I've applied it (shortly after I shower, while my skin is still dewy). It absorbs quickly and completely for being such a rich cream, so I'm not all greased up when I get dressed. It makes me feel luxe and pampered. An added perk? My husband is so mesmerized by the smell that he can't resist burying his face…everywhere ;-)

Not for me

I REALLY wanted to love this cream, because I love rich and creamy textures like this product has. The scent was really nice at first, but it lingers for a long time, and that kind of made me dislike the scent altogether. It's just too much. I figured I could deal with that, since the texture seemed great. After I applied the product, my skin was extremely greasy, which is something I've not experienced from a body butter, lotion, or moisturizer in quite some time. It didn't sink in, either. It bothered me so much that I actually had to wash it off of myself.

Maybe others would like this, but it's just not for me.

My New Best Friend

I have walked past other lotions and body butters in my room to grab this. If I can't find it I will search until I do. It has almost no smell, just a faint clean smell. This is important to me because I can't stand strong scents and I was my hands so frequently it would drive me crazy. I work with chemicals and I love that after washing my hands I can grab something that feels thick and luscious. It keeps my hands from drying and feeling like they're going to crack. My favorite part is just how thick it is, my skin is incredibly dry and I just can't say enough about how much better my routine of washing my hands a million times a day has gotten.

Moisture without the greasy residue!

Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter is a great body butter for those who have grown tired of all the body butters that leave a heavy, greasy feel plus don't moisturize. Soap&Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter feels so moisturizing from the moment it goes on and it's a light formula that holds in moisture without leaving hands feeling like you just dipped them in Crisco! The scent is their "Original Pink Scent" which is a mixture of rose and bergamot. The scent is very powerful, floral and long lasting. It's definitely perfect for all the floral lovers out there. I'm not really a floral scent fan so unfortunately this would not be something I would purchase. This was sent as a freebie and as I've stated it's overall performance is excellent! I just wish they would come out with different scents or an unscented option.
