It tastes sweet, but isn't strong enough for me.
I'm always looking for better sleeping pills to help me fall asleep and stay asleep during the day, since i work nights. These pills taste good, they're verryyyy sweet though! Unfortunately the recommended dose did not work (2) and even after taking 4, which is double the dose, they just left me with feeling so groggy and high. Unfortunately I will have to stick with Nyquil.
Works well but gave me breakouts :((
These actually do work quite well for me and I like that I don't feel drowsy in the morning like I normally do with drugstore melatonin. However they have been causing my skin to break out pretty bad with very painful cystic acne. I've seen other reviews mention similar side effects, so I'd recommend taking just once in a while or just take regular melatonin. Also super pricey!
Good for occasional use!
I used to take the blue bears for hair growth. Though my hair did not grow or strengthen from the blue bears, they tasted well and were easy to remember to take each day due to the sweet taste, cute shape, and satisfying container. These purple bears do not taste good to me at all, but I don't care for grape flavoring. Unlike the blue bears, these purple bears have worked quite well. You are supposed to take two per night, but I often only take one. One bear helps me get to sleep quicker if it's a little late, and I take two bears when I only have a few hours to sleep or am really struggling to pass out at night. They work well for my needs, though they are more expensive than simply buying melatonin. You're paying for a brand, but I do look forward to being able to take them. If you're not sure, I vote you try it! I hadn't ever tried melatonin before, and I already knew the blue bears didn't work for me. I tried the small bottle of 10 purple bears first to see how it worked, as the purple bears are meant to show results from one dose. After trying the 10 bear bottle and having it work well, I went ahead and spent more to get the full bottle. Now that I have the small 10 bear bottle, I like to use that container for over nights and trips since it takes less space in my baggage. I dislike that they aren't available in the 3 month bundles.
Works but side effects
I don't have issues falling asleep, but I bought these for my husband to try and I was curious. They put me to sleep roughly 15-20 minutes after taking and I sleep soundly the entire night. I also have had some crazy dreams or more vivid than normal..maybe coincidence i don't know. However, I am groggy the next morning and don't want to get out of bed and have been more lethargic than normal when I do finally get moving for the day.
not bad but not great
i've taken about half a bottle of these so far and they help me sleep, but much like other people have said they give me raging headaches the next morning. i've also noticed i'm more tired than usual throughout the day and i've also noticed a slight depress in my everyday mood compared to normal. overall they do what they say but in my personal opinion they aren't really worth the negative side effects or the price tag.
