T3 SinglePass Curl Ceramic Long Barrel Curling Iron - Graphite 2-stars Reviews
Disappointed
I have a t3 hairdryer I love but this hair curler has been my worst hair investment ever. While the curler works it leaves my hair smelling burnt and horrible no matter what I do. I thought it was just mine and I recently used a friends and it did the exact same thing. As a result I only use this if I absolutely half to and primarily use an old hair curler that doesn't make my hair smell. I wish I saw the reviews about the smell before I bought this because I regret spending the money on it because I wanted to be able to use this often but I just can't stand how my hair smells when I use it.
Curls don't hold AT ALL
I read a few comments on here that the curls don't hold and was really hoping that they were from people with thicker, harder to manage hair, and that it would work on mine, so I gave it a shot. But, no. SO disappointed. Curls didn't hold more than a few minutes. Tried multiple times. I have medium-long, thin, processed (professionally) blonde, easily curable hair. Iron is terrible. Should have heeded the warnings. Looks great design wise but who cares if it doesn't work? So bummmed.
Not worth the money!
Wanted to love this but my curls will NOT hold with this iron and I've tried everything. They literally fall out in 10mins and normally my hair holds curls all day. It also makes my hair smell burnt on the lowest setting?!
My cheaper wands and other irons work better, do not make my hair smell burnt & were half the price.
I wanted to love it - but did not.
I reallly wanted to like the curling iron - bloggers all over the place promote this brand, and while I can only speak to the iron I got, It was awful. For starters, pieces of it fell off the FIRST time I used it. It also isn't a wand, so it has a claw opener, and it doesn't open, at all. I could barley fit my hair in there and it just kept pulling it out. My hair is short but it is thick and it was just awful. If they wanted it to just be a wand, they can remove that and just make it a wand. It also took an eternity for it to heat up.
Super disappointing
This was an insanely disappointing purchase for the price. I have curly thick hair and my hair HOLDS a curl. I often have problems with my hair holding the curl more than desired when I want a wavier look. But this curling iron does not hold curls. I have no clue what it is about it. I've got the same size barre from hot tools now and the difference is ridiculous when the price is less than half of the T3 and it is so much better. Wish I could return this.
Not good quality
I bought this iron around the holidays and had very high hopes. It is already chipping and because of that, I'd say it is not high quality. Not only will my curls not hold but, this makes my hair smell like burnt every single time and the smell lingers even after washing my hair.. I do double up on heat protectant so I don't know what it is. I just don't think it's worth the price unfortunately.
Over priced and over hyped
Unfortunately I wasn't impressed. Luckily I got this product for 20% off but it's grossly over priced. I agree with other reviews that it leaves a burn like smell in my hair. I have to spray hair perfume to even cover it up. The curls don't hold at all, almost immediately they fall out (partially due to my hair, I struggle holding curls but my Conair that was 20 bucks does a better job of holding the curl than this iron). I'm just disappointed, this iron is definitely hyped up and trust me it's not worth it.
Makes me so angry
I love how fast it heats up, love that my curls last a while, before this one I had a cheaper curling iron that did the same thing, this thing drives me crazy, it grabs one or two strands of hair and you cant unroll it unless you rip those hairs out, its so annoying. I tried emailing the customer service and never heard back. My last purchase from them, its expensive but not worth the price at all. It just sits in my drawer and I use my Hot Tools one, does the same job. I spent too much money in hopes for better results without success.
Unimpressed
After my cat chewed up my 24k hot tools curling iron cord, I thought I would try a new brand and splurge. I read reviews and did my research and decided on this one. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold curls in my hair (which is naturally curly and always holds curls). I have tried using it in different heat settings and the results are the same. Bummed
torn
It took me a long to write this review. First off...I love the fact that it will make your curls last for 2 days (min), However if you have damaged, processed, bleached, or ageing hair. STAY AWAY. I have had more breakage (Not only noticed by me the shower floor but also my beautician), since using this iron. If you are looking for a long lasting curl and don't care about long lasting damage then I say go for it. The design is sleek and beautiful.
Curl Flop
Love the design and feel of this iron. I thought some of the reviews had to be wrong in that the curl didn't last. How can that be? Well, it doesn't. I gave it three days worth of trying, with different temperature settings and each day until I got to the office, my hair was a flop. I can't justify keeping it for the price. Maybe it's something with my hair but back to my reliable Hot Tools irons I go!!!!
Didn't work out
Ok so I left a review awhile ago about how I switched from a babyliss wand to this curling iron. The first time I tried it it made my hair feel super super weird afterwards. Like very dry and I couldn't even run my fingers through my hair. I thought it was just because I didn't know how to use it correctly and maybe because I had the heat setting too high. So I decided to keep the heat setting on the 2nd one and after some practice, I finally got the hang of it and thought it was fine. It's been about 4-5 months since I've had this curling iron and I noticed that my hair has started to look a lot thinner and it also looks shorter? I can't say for sure that it's the curling irons fault, but it's literally the ONLY thing I changed in my hair routine. With that being said, I decided to sell it because it freaked me out. I was pretty bummed because I really wanted to like it!
Great curls but ....
I absolutely love this curling iron but now for the 3rd time in less than a year my spring has weekened and the clamp won't stay firm on the barrel making it impossible to hold my hair which ends up
sliding through (and I have thick hair) ....please fix this as I've bought almost every other curling iron on the market and although had this issue with any other iron T3 gives my hair the best curls....
Not worth the money
I was super excited to try out this curling iron after I saw my hairdresser use it on my hair. I've curled my hair for years with different curling irons but could not get my hair to curl with this one. The hair that did curl didn't hold the curl for even 1 hour. The iron heats up fast but leaves very bad clamp marks. Very sleek and cute design but I wouldn't recommend this especially to beginners. Go for a cheaper option.
I wanted to love this!
Based on recommendations from fashion bloggers I follow on instagram, I asked my mom to purchase this curling iron for me for Christmas. I was so excited that I used it Christmas Day prior to attending a party. At the end of the day, the curls in my hair no longer existed. I chalked it up to not using enough hairspray. However, I used the curling iron again on New Year's Eve and my hair lost its curl within two hours. My hair also smelled burnt for the next two days. I am very disappointed. My hot tools curling iron worked better for me and was a lot cheaper.
Nope!
The pro's: It cramps tight and heats up fast.
The con's: It's virtually ineffective, even at its highest setting. It burns your hair. There's s m o k e (that word was flagged?) rolling, even at a low setting. It also leaves clamp marks.
My hair is long (bra length) and thick. Naturally wavy. In all honesty, my (much cheaper) Hot Tools curling iron does a much better job. I would not recommend this iron.
I would not buy this again!
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this product! I was super excited about my t3 single pass curling iron. I immediatly fell in love with the look of the iron and the way the barrel glided through my hair with no snags. However, I quickly found that it will not curl my hair. At all! I have watched videos and tried multiple times! I have average hair not too thin and not too thick.
