The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

I went back for more.

I have extremely dry skin. It doesn't help that I live in a dry climate. This body butter fits my need for hydration and it lasts without feeling greasy. It worked so well I went back and bought more.

I love this Shea Body Butter. It's very hydrating for skin especially in the winter. Everyone I have gifted with it loves it.

I keep buying this product.

My husband uses Shea body butter after every shower when the weather is dry. I always have a backup on hand and usually can get it on sale.

I agree with new formulation is not good

The new formula is not absorbing into my skin. It cakes up and leaves white streaks on my skin as it is not absorbed. There are too many other natural body creams out there; unfortunately I will not be using this one again.

New formulation is rubbish

The new formulation of body butter feels like putting Crisco on your skin (old formulation was creamy). My skin feels more dry than before just an hour later (old formulation left skin moisturized all day). I've also found the fragrance triggers my migraines, which had never happened before with any scent variety. Finally, the tin doesn't always open easily and I can't recycle it in my area anyway. What's the point of changing from a plastic to a metal lid when it seems many people will just have to throw it away anyway. Virtue signaling?

I used to look foreword to each body butter purchase, having also gotten multiple friends hooked on it over the years. Now I'll tell them not to bother buying it anymore because it's simply rubbish. Throw it in the bin where it belongs! One of my absolute favorite products is simply ruined.

New Formula is HORRIBLE

New Formula is HORRIBLE! Been using their products for over 20 yrs... someone got the bright idea to reinvent the wheel... Doesn't absorb properly and judging by all the comments they should be aware folks are NOT HAPPY!!! Can they just use the old formula??

Smells amazing!

It was a little weird coming out of the packet but it smells so good I don't even care and super nourishing!

Wanted to try body butter for my KP with minimal to no fragrance. The shea has almost no fragrance. I was astonished at how nice the consistency was. I've only rubbed it on my feet so far but my feet feel amazing.

New formula has no scent

This used to be my favorite lotion/body butter of all time but the new formula is so disappointing. While the new packaging is kind of cheap looking, I understand the need for limiting waste. But did that need to affect the formula? At best it smells and feels like plain wax. It's less moisturizing and doesn't have that warm and buttery smell anymore. I definitely wouldn't recommend and I'll be returning the one I bought. Also be weary of the tube lotion version, I didn't pick it up because in the store the bottle felt limp like it was made out of paper, I can't imagine it holding up for very long. Please bring the old version back even if it costs more to make! This product feels pointless now since it doesn't smell good or even keep the skin moisturized.

I NEED the old Shea Body Butter Back!!

I have been using Shea Body Butter years and years and am so disappointed I am no longer able to buy the quality product I love. I have given it as gifts for years as well and have spread the love of Body Shop Body Butter to so many others. Please, please bring back the real stuff!!!
