Best acne product I've ever tried

I have oily, dehydrated, acne-prone skin, including hormonal acne and lots of blackheads in my T-zone. I have been struggling with adult acne for over 8 years and tried countless products, from multiple well known skincare brands, and have never seen results like this. I have been using this product for 3 weeks now, and experienced very minor purging in the last week. That cleared up so quickly and my skin is starting to actually glow! My pores are less visible and my skin tone is starting to even out again. I only use this product once a day, at night, and follow with a moisturizer, no other serums. I have been using a brightening serum in the AM for months but this product is making a huge difference. All the ingredients are actually acne safe too!!

I was hesitant to buy

I was hesitant to buy this product as I typically never have any luck with things like this. Let me tell you… I always get pre-period acne a week before my period. Always. This has completely resolved the chin breakout I had prior to buying AND has prevented my hormonal acne. I have never had a product prevent my hormonal acne successfully. I swear by this product. The fact that I can see results even makes me excited to do my skin care routine in the morning and night. (P.s. I never had a skin routine before Tula. Now I do it 2xs daily and love it.)

Horrible breakout!!

I read the reviews about how some people had increased acne and thought maybe that's only the first few days while your skin is adjusting but now I know it's not. I tried this product for a month before finally calling it quits. This product made my skin breakout in a horrible rash of acne from my neck and chin to my forehead. I only get acne on my cheeks and chin but this product basically created a breakout across my whole face. My face was hyperpigmented, looked horrible, and I have no positive things to say about this product. It made everything so much worse. I highly recommend the Cult Classic face wash and the tub of day and night moisturizer but I'd never recommend or use this toner ever again. It makes me scared to try Tula's acne line at all. I'll stick with the two products I like and know work, instead of making my problems worse.

2% might be too much for some people

It's worth noting that your skin can become reliant on salicylic acid. That being said, some experts recommend not using this topically at a concentration of more than 1% for this very reason. It can be a useful ingredient, but this is a big beware. Before learning this, I was excited to try this product and excited to see results. Here is my take away after using for two months: (1) My skin seemed to actually be more sensitive in the areas I applied this product (my chin, nose, cheeks) (2) I did not see a decrease in acne, instead I noticed I was getting deeper acne. Like cystic acne I haven't had since before I had my kid 5 years ago (3) I stopped using this product and kept using my other Tula products (purifying face cleanser and the gel cream moisturizer) and the deep acne went away, as well as the irritation. My consensus? My wary to use a product that has 2% salicylic acid if your skin doesn't absolutely need it. It might make your problem better, but I would say if you're seeing things get worse cold turkey and stop. A different acne product might be better for you. If this product doesn't work for you, maybe try adding a great retinol into your skincare. Glossier's is wonderful and I've seen great results with it. Anyway, I love the other Tula products I've tried and plan to give those good reviews this one was just a miss for me.

Holy Grail of Acne Products

I am just finishing my first bottle and all I have to say is this is the holy grail of acne products! I started suffering from a little (what I believe was) cystic acne on my jawline and chin. Nothing was helping and the purple after marks were staying on my face for weeks. I started using this and immediately noticed improvement. The acne was clearing up faster and the dark hard bumps left behind were lightening up in color and disappearing faster as well. I haven't had a breakout since using this, maybe a pimple here or there, but even those clear up quickly. My overall skin tone and looks is so much better as well.

The G.O.A.T for pores and acne!!

I received a free trial size of the clear it up acne clearing and tone correcting gel and the acne foaming cleanser in one of my orders last year. I had used Tula before, and liked how it contained probiotics, superfoods, and was a clean skin product, so I figured I would shelf my current facial cleanser (which wasn't doing much) and give these two products a try for a month. I have combo skin (that can be a little more dry at times) that's a little sensitive due to my autoimmune disease. Additionally, I've always had large pores on my cheeks, chin, and nose. I had tried many salicylic acid cleansers, AHA/BHA mask resurfacers, and glycolic acid toners to try to reduce the pores and get rid of my acne, but they always fell short. I thought beautiful, pore-less skin was a myth. That was until I tried these products. I kid you not my skin looked a m a z i n g. After a couple weeks there was not a single pore in sight! Everybody i met up with said my skin looked like glass, or they'd ask what foundation and primer I was using. I felt like a goddess! Needless to say, I ran out of the products while I was on vacation in Hawaii, so I wasn't able to keep up with the routine. Now that I'm back on the mainland, I've got my full size bottles and am ready to restart my regimen! Thanks Tula for giving me the skin of my dreams < 3

Exactly What I've been looking for

This gel is exactly what I've been needing for a very long time! I apologize in advance if the is tmi for anyone but I felt I should share in case someone else has this issue. Ever since I hit puberty I've had really severe and painful underarm acne. I cannot even tell you how many different deodorants I went through trying to find one that didn't make it worse but never found one that made it better. I then tried various products geared toward sensitive underarms but nothing really stuck.

However, this gel has been a godsend. I got a sample of it a while back and decided to try it on some facial acne and then a few underarm spots and let me tell you I was amazed. After 2 uses the areas under my arms hurt so much less. I've been using it day and night for about a week now and the acne is almost entirely gone! On top of that my underarms are actually looking brighter which is a massive plus. I can't begin to explain how much better it feels - my bras don't hurt, showers aren't painful and if it was summer I wouldn't be ashamed to wear a tank top.

Mostly yes, but there is a no!

I like, but it definitely does not prevent or fade marks from acne. I have been using this product along with the acne line for two years. I will say that when I do get acne, they come and go a lot quicker…from weeks to more like 5 days tops, some shorter periods, some a little longer. But it does not prevent acne from happening. That comes best with diet and drinking plenty of water, which I admit, I do not have the best track record. However, overall, Tula has given me a better response with adult acne, thus far. honestly I have not found a product that just blows me away. I enjoy the smell and I enjoy the way the product looks and feels on my face. I usually only purchase all my products when there is a bonus gift or "sale", or I purchase in a set. Thanks occasionally I buy straight from TULA when they have a good deal going on. Otherwise the price is more than I want to pay regardless of my income.

Keep my acnes at bay (for the most part)

I was so busy for a couple weeks and forgot to change out my bedsheets and pillowcases so I ended up getting these horrible pimples on my cheeks. And in desperate times, I decided to splurge and purchase this product.

It doesn't disappoint at all. I used a combo of methods like benzoyl peroxide cleanser, pimple patches, and this gel to try to clear my acnes. I would say with the addition of the gel my pimples mature faster and I was able to extract them all. And after the extractions, my next concerns were redness, dark spots, and blemishes. I didn't realize they had put azaleic acid in the gel too which I attribute a lot of the fading dark spots to. I usually wash my face with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser, followed by a gentle toner, then Tula gel, then if in the morning I use vitamin c serum followed by a moisturize infused with niacinamide and SUNSCREEN! If in the evening, i follow by Hyaluronic acid moisturizer gel and a thicker moisturizer and lastly 2-3 times a week retinol.

So far it's working

So I have been suffering with cystic acne for a little over a year, I have tried a ton of other brands from proactive, clinique, cerave and so fourth and EVERY SINGLE ONE has caused a terrible allergic reaction. I was so scared to try this cause my reactions are not pretty but I went for it and so far I love it. I'm on day 5 and my cystic acne has not bled, itched nor does it hurt. I also see less redness. The only downfall that it is making my skin a bit dry around my chin area but i'll be sticking with it for a few more weeks to see the results. I know every face is different and the cause for acne is different so it may work slower for some. So far I am happy with it and excited to see the results.
