Tula Radiant Skin Brightening Serum Skin Tint SPF 30 Reviews
You've gotta want a shiny face
Im a fair to light neutral skin tone. This is a thick forma that some may find "pasty", and the 05 light neutral imparts a yellow-based, dark cast before melding with my skin. This would be a good summer color for me, but tends a bit dark for winter. Dry skin lovelies will appreciate this, but not oily babes or those wanting a sheer wash of tint. Several minutes after applying my face is still borderline shiny and my skin feels slightly tacky, if not moisturized. This is good for concealing fine lines (which I appreciate), but it doesn't mask texture. It would "blend in" if you were gping to sweat in hot/humid weather. My skin is irritated this week and there's a very slight tingle going on, making me think this is a formula to avoid for those with chronically sensitive, irritated skin. There are more elegant formulations out there with similar claims. This may be a good value at the 50% off sale price to have an extra sunscreen with benefits around, but I would not entertain buying at full price.
Horrible greasy mess
I wanted to love this so bad! Im a south florida girlie so sometimes I want just slight coverage with my spf and to look like a glowy, beachy queen but this product is terrible. I have pretty balanced skin, no acne, occasionally some slight dryness in the T-zone but this product (regardless of the amount used) made me look dry and greasy at the same time and was so patchy. It doesnt feel like it blends in to an even layer with hands, brush or blender. If you get somewhere "even" it just looks like you have nothing but oil on. Just sits on the skin, very heavy. If you try to set it, it gets worse.
Works for acne prone, oily skin!
I found this to be wonderfully paired to my skin type, the shade and soft moisturizing formulation truly made my skin radiant! I have naturally oily skin and I struggle with acne and I was worried this would be too slick and not sit well on my skin but it evens out the tone, doesn't feel cakey and it provides light to medium coverage. It also really blurs my pores which is such a bonus for the large pore folks out there! I set it with a translucent setting powder and it holds up so well! This product has given me so much confidence and its my new go to!
She's good
texas sun is no joke I got extremly sunburnt from being out in the sun for 6 hours but this sunscreen saved my face. I had applied diff sunscreen for my body and when i tell u my body is red except for my face/neck area …. girl she did not budge. i would recommend for the purpose of tint bc i have dark under eyes and this seemed to cover it + protection bc she left my face untouched. she works. only thing i would say is it comes off a bit with water but to be fair i was dippin in and out. other than that i would give it a shot.
Careful What You Wear Under It
Absolutely love this chemical SPF tinted moisturizer. Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin as some other chemical sunscreens do. Coverage is light/medium, shade choices excellent (I'm quite cool and fair and have a terrible time with this--I wear both 2 and 6 here, depending on season). I have no problem with balling, settling in lines, etc. The biggest trick is to try different products (if any!) underneath it, less is more there in any case. I use BHA and AHA exfoliants evenings so dry patches aren't an issue either. As this is a chemical sunscreen, it should be the last skin-care layer, but below makeup (whereas physical sunscreens should be the last layer period). My (mature) skin look great with it on.
My favorite tinted moisturizer with SPF
I had tried many tinted moisturizers before and they all broke my face out, were too oily or the colors never matched.
I found this one and I love it.
The color match is great. Its lightweight but still has a nice coverage with the tint. It makes your face glow and subtly hides imperfections. Plus it has SPF!
Really nice!
As someone who doesnt like base products, because my skin tone is impossible to match, I really like this stuff. 4 is the closest thing I've ever found for my fair, slightly golden/olive, very muted skin. It doesn't show up peach or orange or overtly yellow, it just blends right in and gives me the natural boost of color I need to look healthy (muted skin is the pits). It has light-to-medium coverage. I apply a light layer with a sponge and no primer underneath, just a basic moisturizer and SPF. No pilling or oxidizing that I've noticed. It doesnt settle into my fine lines. It does settle into my eyelid creases, but everything does so I powder that area and it's fine. Nice finish, dewy but not too dewy and once I apply powder bronzer it looks like a satin finish. I have normal-to-dehydrated skin and a light layer feels comfortable and hydrating without feeling cloying. Folks with oily skin or folks who layer it up will find it heavy. Impressive shade range, too. They really tried to cover as many shades and undertones as possible, which I really appreciate.
Listen to reviews
This product's marketing checked all the boxes for me. I was in the market for a super dewy tint with spf. I shouldve listened to the reviews. It clings and emphasizes every dry patch on my face and settles into fine lines like no one's business. Its also not that dewy compared to how they market it. I dont usually return stuff but this product sucks
I REALLY like this.
I am 45yrs old & while I DO have some favorite products, I also enjoy trying new ones. The Tula sunscreen in the yellow bottle has been a long time favorite & I always pick some up when it's on sale. So, this time I also grabbed this skin tint and boy oh boy do I like it! I waited until I'd been wearing it for a few days before I wrote this for good measure. It's actually SO good that it looks like you're not even wearing anything, but if you do half of your face, you're like, dear God this helped! I'm also a sweaty girl a lot of the time and I've had zero issues with that as well. 10/10 recommend but probably on sale cuz that price is bananas for that amount.
Thought I Would Love It…
When I first tried this product, I thought it would be an excellent alternative to foundation. It is buildable and provides great coverage but by the end of the day, my skin appeared very oily. Oddly enough, it also left dryness in the fine lines on my face, which I didn't pinpoint until I stopped using it recently. I was excited about this product at first but after a few weeks of use, I am going to discontinue. Bummer, because I love the brand!
Wouldn't use it again
I purchased this because i love skin tints, well the color was wat off & very orange. It was also patchy and I felt oily. I word it yesterday all day, when i went to wash my face last night & have a rash all over my face. Something in it didnt agree with my skin and now my skin is red, itchy, bumping and I'm dying to scratch it!
Really enjoy this product but it has Palm Oil in it
I really like this product. The light Medium Olive (10) is the best color match I have ever found. Honestly its a little greasy for my oily skin but if set with some setting powder its fine. What is unacceptable to me is that it is made with palm oil!
I wanted to like it
I wanted to like this product so bad. I love Tula and have been more than satisfied with all of their products…except this one. This was recommended by an associate when I was looking for a new tinted moisturizer. Zero coverage and it makes my face look greasy at first. Primer and/or setting powder doesn't help. After a bit it separates and looks afwul. Using a sponge barely gets it on my face. It's not buildable at all. Using my fingers makes it sloppy and too thick. I'm really trying but dont know what I'm doing wrong. Super sad about it, really.
Very natural and flattering
I've tried so many tinted moisturizers that haven't worked for me. I'm 49 with aging, combo skin. Most sink into my pores and wrinkles or are too luminous and shiny looking. This has a very nice, natural finish. I got the light/medium color which matched perfectly. Best color match to date. The product does have a thick consistency that takes a little more blending to apply, but the result is very natural and flattering. Definitely a new fave. Does not look like I'm wearing makeup.
combo, freckled skin type
I have a lot of freckles and combination skin so I have a hard time finding a medium light coverage foundation with a skin finish that doesn't cause me to look oily at the end of the day. this I do say I really love. it goes on light it corrects some uneven skin tone but it doesn't look like I'm trying to have a heavy coverage. midday it still looks good. I do dust a light coat of finishing powder but that is it, my skin looks good all day. plus the SPF is a great bonus
Love love love
I absolutely LOVE this tinted moisturizer. The product feels like skin care when applied and leaves skin with a dewy finish. The color 5 was a perfect match to my skin. Sheer covage leaves skin balanced, glowy, healthy looking with natural skin peeking through. Apply with fingers and set with a sponge/beauty blender works best for me. A brush can be used but not needed. Use a softer, loose (not dense) brush to apply.
I hope Tula keeps this product and formula around forever, this will always be in my makeup bag.
I have dry, sensitive, 44yo skin.
Never dried
I was looking for a skincare type foundation for "No make-up days", and tried this since I love all my other Tula products. It went on fine and coverage was okay (Light to medium coverage) however it never dried. I have combination skin. I eventually had to apply a finishing powder to it, which defeated the whole purpose for myself personally. I also seem to remember it didn't last the whole day. I found another product with another company that worked much better for me, however I'm continuing to use my other lovely products through Tule
Very transparent as foundation.
I simply hoped that the quality of this product was actually medium to full coverage, as stated. It doesn't have the effect of averaging out skin color on the face. For people who don't need that, this may be the one for you.
A Must Try
I love this product! I'm 53 with combo skin. In other words, aging skin, which requires a little more coverage than the typical skin tint. This provides exactly what I need. It leaves your skin slightly dewy but doesn't add to the T-zone oiliness. You may want to head to the store for an exact color match. It's fairly new so some of the locations haven't received this product yet. If you're on the fence, try it. You can always return it if it's not for you.
Not for sensitive skin
I love Tula products and was excited for this. It applies easy, and for the first hour to two looks great. After time, it started separating, getting patchy, and started to burn my skin. When I took off my make up, I had a lot of redness and acne that developed over the day. I tried it two more times to just confirm, and it happened each time. I have oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin and this product was not for me.
