Nice product, TERRIBLE packaging
I've been buying this for over a year (it is blurring and a nice primer). I like throwing it on alone on days I don't wear makeup for a little evening of my skin tone. BUT I've had 3 bottles break now either during shipment or through mild use. The pump works great, but it is attached very poorly (looks like glued) to the bottle and that pops and cannot be twisted or secured on again. It is extremely frustrating because I buy the large version to last but then can't take the bottle anywhere since it's always open with the pump/cap broken off. Do better!
Horrible packaging
I decided to try this because it was on sale and I love other Tula products. Unfortunately I never got a chance to try it because the 1st tube that came spilled everywhere as soon as I tried to use the pump. It was messy and my hands felt really greasy even after I used soap. I order a replacement product because I thought it was just a defective tube I had received but I was wrong. When the second tube showed, I could see it leaking before I even took it out of the box. I returned it and got my money back. Could not really rate the product besides how it felt on my hands. Not worth all the trouble!
Good but pricey; buy when on sale.
I love this product so much. As a no-makeup makeup kinda gal, this is perfect as a quick little step to blur and add luminescence to my face. I have very dry skin and my face sweats a lot, and this product helped hydrate and didn't rub off with the sweat too much. It's the best product in my routine and very low-effort.
Unfortunately I need like 9+ pumps to cover my whole face and actually have it correct, blur, and give that desired glow. That's why I rate it 4/5 stars. I'd recommend to buy on sale. Otherwise, if you have the money to spend, buy it!!!
This is truly a 5 star product
I am in my 40's and my skin seems to change all the time. I was always moisturizing before putting on my primer and it takes a bit to get good absorption. With this product (I have fair to light acne prone oily/dry skin. This primer is so lightweight and buildable. Luna is amazing on its own if you don't even feel like wearing makeup. It minimizes the looks of my pores and reduces the appearance of my breakouts. This is better than the tatcha moisturizing primer. My face feels smooth and hydrated all day. So worth the price AND it is completely recyclable!
Amazing product, terrible packaging
I am in my mid-30s and my biggest skin concerns are uneven pigmentation, mild redness, and emerging fine lines. I've tried every foundation/primer/moisturizer/application combo you can think of, but I have never been happy with how my base makeup looks. Cakey. Patchy. Settling into my pores. Just terrible. So I decided to completely downsize my makeup collection and routine in an effort to embrace a more "natural" look and try to accept my completely non-perfect skin. I've heard excellent things about this brand and last week I needed some retail therapy, so I thought "Why not?" Well, lemme tell ya, I was THRILLED from the first application. This primer is perfect for anyone who doesn't want a full face of makeup but still wants smooth, even skin. I kind of roll my eyes at the whole "your skin but better" idea, but this product actually delivers that result. When wearing this, I look like me, but like I'm walking around with a beauty filter on. I still need a few touches of concealer to cover some acne scarring and my under-eye sadness, but I could not be happier with this performance product. It really does blur my skin and leaves a subtle glow. No need to apply anything over it if you're just after the "look how natural and carefree I am!" look (fake it til' you make it, right?). My only gripe with this is the terrible packaging. And it's actually a pretty big gripe because it results in wasted product. Other reviewers said the same thing: Product leaks out of the bottom of the cap, and I easily wasted one or two days worth trying to clean it up. If I didn't like the product so much, I'd take it back. I would completely give it 5 stars otherwise.
TLDR: Wearing this primer alone made me feel beautiful in my own skin, but dear goodness the packaging is awful.
Good, but....
Pros: *Sheer coverage *Matches my skin tone *Easy application Cons: *More of a tinted moisturizer than primer. *Doesn't travel well (exploded in my luggage while flying, both front and back of tube). *Doesn't do well as an all-day primer (for me). Overall: I like this as a tinted moisturizer and primer for when I won't be out long (shopping, running errands, etc.) However, I've gone back to using my regular eye primer and still searching for the perfect all-day primer (one that I can throw in my carry on).
What happened to the bottle!?!?!
I have been wearing this primer pretty much since it came out I love it! You can wear it with or without foundation when you don't want a full face of make up or even if you do. But what did you guys do to the bottle? The bottle is garbage. The last two that I've had have completely separated from the pump. Luckily I don't keep it in a make up bag so I can just kind of prop it up and then place the top on top and use it when I need it and just kind of like dab it but the next one I just got exploded in the bag during shipment or something completely separate and now I have to go back to the store return it and it's not sold in the store so I have to get it re-shipped it's really annoying so I think I need to go back to the old bottle or something it seems to just be the larger size. FIX IT!!!
Buy at own risk
I went to use it today and found the pump is completely detached. No one has been in my room, but me so I can't understand what would have happened to cause this issue. There is definitely defective packaging. I came on here to read reviews and found others have had the same issue. I had only used it once, so I have almost a full tube I will have to transfer to something else so I can use it....this us way too expensive to toss. Product is okay, nothing more special than any other porefulling primer I have used. I will not purchase again due to this packaging issue.
Love the product - don't love the price
I was looking for something that would generally even out my skin tone and help cover some blemishes, but not feel like makeup. I thought I was asking for a lot, but then I found this! It achieves exactly what I wanted. It gives my skin a slightly polished look and feels like a moisturizer.
So why 4 stars? The price is too high for something I would like to wear every day. It's hard to justify. I'll also add I've had a really hard time figuring out when to include it in my morning skincare routine - before my sunscreen? After my sunscreen? I'm still trying to figure that out. If they ever create a product that's exactly like this but with SPF, I would be over the moon.
All in all, this is something I'll be watching closely to see if it goes on sale or if there's coupons available.
Actually, I do love it.
This was different. PROS: It feels light (like lotion, not makeup); has some coverage but not enough to make you look cakey; it evens out skin tones well. Looks like a moisturizer, but gradually changes as you work it in. Used it several times without breaking out in a rash. I can wear a mask without having too much of it rub off onto it. I use it alone. CONS: You may have to add a second layer for more coverage; a bit pricey but, sometimes, you get what you pay for. You definitely get more coverage with Sunrise (medium) but it was too dark for me. I used Luna (light)
I read about this in an internet magazine article. It sounded too good to be true but I've heard the same story before. BB creams. CC creams, tinted moisturizers, tried 'em all. Used them a couple of times and then tossed them in the drawer, where they still sit. It's pricey; the only reason I bought was cuz I had a great coupon; figured I couldn't lose much. But I'll buy it again when it runs out.
